So back in 2004, I had a deviantart account, way before voice acting and abridging. I used to draw stuff with Flash and a mouse. Now I'm getting back into with better tools and have started to regain my knowledge! Let's go back through my old art and see where it all started, BEFORE everything! Now I start my journey with a brand new iteration of Ranch from DB R&R. What do you think? I have something to show you

Cringe? For harmless fun that makes you happy? No, sir. It is *endearing* and just shows your love and passion for the franchise, which IMO continues to make you the best Goku. Or at least my favorite. An inspiration and a legend, to be sure.

Dude… you’re such a champ! Your drawing skills are so good, you could easily make your own thumbnails for all (or most) of your videos, but you’re giving work to other good artists like Malik and the others that have provided thumbnails for your What Ifs. I enjoyed this! I'm glad your return to art was a natural one. My high school art teacher killed my love for art and I had stopped drawing altogether for so long. I finally began to find joy in it again. But love the colors of your new works!! Very eye catching!!

Seeing how much you've improved after 16 years of not drawing and 6 weeks of practice is impressive and inspiring! (especially the shading). It's always nice to see people share hobbies they participate in that they don't talk about much. I hope to see more artwork by you in the future as your latest drawings are amazing! Similarly, I draw a lot but I only share my art occasionally. I'm still trying to figure out things (such as shading, eyes, proportions and posing) but I know I can improve, if I keep at it.

You can totally see a ton of progression in the earlier stuff. I think the biggest problem as far as lacking fluidity was that most of the characters seemed to lack elbows, though there was a certain "hardness" to the style, if that makes sense? As for your more recent stuff, I don't think I believe there wasn't more in between. There's just such a huge improvement, those are excellent! I genuinely wish I could draw like that, but I have zero time to practice. Still, it does honestly give me hope that I will someday be able to make something like what you've presented here.

The art is all pretty good, but F-Raunch and Gohan *BEAST* look (to me, at least) almost as if Toriyama or Toyotaro themselves had a hand in it. I guess you could say your drawing skills managed to get their own Zenkai Boost!

I can pretty much relate to this, but mostly in the form of writing. 7 years ago I started my life as anime reviewer. Most of the 2015 stuff was really cringy and I couldn't even call them reviews. It wasn't until late 2015 were I slowly started to get a hang of it. An I kept evolving until I say 2018 where I finally felt like an actual reviewer. What I'm trying to say is that not all of us is going to be the best or mature in our beginning. But as we keep practicing and growing as an individual. The better our craft becomes.

If you're looking for more art teachers to watch. Theres a guy called Mark Brunet that does some really good stuff. I've been drawing every day for the last 865 days, and I regularly feel like I'm stagnant in terms of improvement. The single biggest improvement I've ever had came a week ago when I followed one of his video tutorials, specifically on shading. My work has generally hovered around the same level for the last two years, but last week was an enormous jump in quality. He also does a proper paid art school program, but I highly recommend checking out some of his free videos. Especially the recent shading one. I can't state enough just how much of a quality jump I had after following it. It's more progress in one day than I'd previously made in a year.
