@@arandomcatperson0 none taken, and no, not YET at least. I think the weight of printers is enough. It does move slightly, but no noticeable resonance issues. i am using l brackets, but am considering building a tall structure from scratch, and calling it " Uber printer tower 40,000" or something like that, because its fun and over the top, yep, and it would allow me to add ventilation and make up some other cool customizations. the sky is the limit. You could build one 4 high, with lack tables, if you just do stuff to mitigate the movement. also I set dumbells behind printers too so there is that ;) i forget they are there cuz i cant see them. but I am thinking about instead, getting one of those large square cement stepping stones, and mounting it to the *underside* of table, with 4 corner brackets, and screw it directly to the table for added weight and stability. (at this point it would only be to make it stop moving just to suit my taste because at the moment, the little movent that it does have doesnt effect quality.
I'd probably have just picked orgs that could use them to donate to directly, but outsourcing that work to Prusa seems smart. Props on not doing sketchy stuff.
@@nyetu Stuff like giveaway events that at best train audience to get scammed (since most of the time these are scams run by someone impersonating the YTer), and may also be or appear to be rigged or have other sketchy stuff going on
@@daliasprints9798 yeah, but like the guy in the video was even worried about just selling them or giving them away, if the printers are his property he can do whatever he wants with them, only legal thing would just potentially having to claim the income depending on how many he sold and for how much
@@HerbaMachina That undermines impartiality of "I'm not being paid for this review" if he turns around and sells the review units provided at no cost. The proceeds of the sales become effective payment for the reviews, which both undermine credibility and might trigger reporting requirements.
Running a giveaway is a huge pitfall, as you need to comply with GDPR when collecting user data, make sure you're not accidentally running an illegal gambling scheme, work out a fair way to select winners, then ship a fragile machine internationally.
@@MadeWithLayersyou don't have to "run a giveaway" just be a regular human being and give them to people who would appreciate them as it comes up. I bet the good home they'll end up in is the dumpsters behind their factory.
Do like ltt does now, sell the item for 1 euro/dollar@@MadeWithLayers

@@davedauria4782 i can bet you that won't be the case, but yeah still. I don't think giving them to prusa was the better choice too, his decision tho not ours!
@@MadeWithLayers this shouldn't be an issue since they separated shorts in their own category in subs list, so you could publish them now no worries :) if someone complains you can know that they are not honest and just being contrarian :)
@@riba2233Not truo on all platforms. Android TV for example has all videos and shorts mixed in same grid. Watching shorts on TV is annoying, because they are often cropped from full video and 2/3 screen area is left empty.
I'll easily make a trip from NL to Germany to take one off your hands. Will resolve my issue of having a single one that is down after a little accident
heeeyyyy your locat technical or highschool wormuld ve verry happy for one of these ......at my school (HTL Mödling) the only running printer is a verry old and worn out CR-10, yes the original,😢
Awww man, I’ve been set back to starting from zero I’d have been hella grateful if only for a loan of 2 of those machines for 3 months to get my own setup back up and funded. Oh well sad to see them go :(
It’s kinda funny that in Europe you guys make fun of DHL but like in the US they are SO MUCH BETTER than any of our typical carriers. Like if I get anything international from DHL it’s on-time or early every time with no delays
@@OmarAdel19 I don't really think so, bc he already did make the promotion for the printer, and I think giving it to a friend, or giving it away is a better option
Can you send some to albania? I would love to introduce some village people to 3D printing. But they have not the budget to buy. I think there is a big chance for people in remote developing areas, since transport for spareparts is hard.. and education for new technoligies are now at their beginning.
If you want to ever give a machine to a disabled war vet looking to learn something new..I would gladly like to learn and would be happy to have one ..if you ever wanted to get rid of one again...
Smh. You thought it was too much to donate it? So you gave it back to a Corp that obviously doesn't need them? I'm sure any school, library etc. would have loved the donation. Especially those leaning. You didn't have to make it a RU-vid video, just donate in person as a good gesture. 🤦🏽♀️
WHOA WHAT!? bro this is so awesome! I would be a good home for a 3d printer!😅 I promise to use it for making fire arms as much as possible and make sure it recieves all sorts of love and use and ! shall treat it like my baby and I promise to put anything i learn on the internet in the name of science and growth! If you got a free one lying around 3744 Polo Club Blvd Lexington KY 40509 America, if it prints metal instead of plastic that's even better.
