Instantly, I saw old school Christmas lights. (I flashed back to dad putting up one string around the eaves.) Well done on your green Field day cardi. The black buttons kick it up to “designer” level knitwear. As always, A+ cat content. 🎂💐🎉 Happy BD!
Love, love, love your Christmas Sock and it definitely looks like Christmas lights and I love the light green with the white. I like the lights over ornaments. I can’t wait for this pattern. The cowl will work too. This is a great podcast on ideas to not just settle with your finished item. Take the time to make it fit or just right. Love your Field Day Cardigan and the green colorway. Awesome projects.
Oh my goodness those socks!!! 💯 see Christmas lights! I can see this in the 50s Christmas colors of red, pink, light blue, light green, and dark green, etc! I’ve never done color work (aside from stripes) and might have to try my hand at the set 😍😍😍
Happy Birthday!! For sure, vintage Christmas bulbs, and like many have already commented, I had childhood memories of my dad hanging these on our house in the PNW!
Your green Field Day cardigan is beautiful! I love the green colorway and agree that the black buttons will look much more sophisticated than the white. I need a V-neck cardigan in my wardrobe and it will definitely be the Field Day, inspired by your gorgeous garment. 🙂
I definitely see lights and not chili peppers, and think they are super cute! I do not enjoy overnighting in the outdoors! I like to sleep in my own bed and I have curly hair which is it's own level of commitment that generally looks as if a flock of seagulls nested in it overnight.
I love the Christmas light socks! Saw Christmas lights right away and got super excited as soon as you held it up 😍 When I was learning how to do colorwork I actually used some colorwork sock patterns but was such a beginner I didn't know how to do all the sock parts. Instead I used just the cuff portion of the pattern with a slightly lower stitch count and made little can koozies. Would LOVE to do a set with this pattern where each koozie gets it's own light color and then you can keep track of which drink is yours at parties!
I love the Christmas socks! No hot peppers. I actually like the navy blue but I am sure you will find another blue that will look great. I can’t wait for the pattern to be ready to knit. Love your almost finished cardigan. That color is wonderful!
Happy birthday! Looking forward to christmas lights socks and cowl. I'm a novice sock knitter so maybe the cowl will be first. Congratulations on finishing your Field Day Cardigan, looks lovely and love your button choice. Have a great birthday weekend.
That's a very cute design on your Christmas sock! I'm from Finland, and it's still the berry season here. That's probably why the first glance reminded me of berries. Besides, I use different kind of lights on the tree. On a real tree 😊 So, just because of a personal preference, I'd use darker green as the main colour to resemble a spruce. Love the sweater you're wearing ❤ Thanks for another great episode!
Love the new sock design with Christmas lights. We used to have the bauble candle lights on our family tree. Brings back good memories. Will you be doing sock kits?
So I was worried that I was biased on the Christmas socks because I heard your explanation, so I paused the video on the image and showed it to my husband. I asked him what did he see as the pattern and he said “Christmas lights.” So … non knitter with no context says Christmas lights. (And they do remind me A LOT of the lights on the nativity my grandfather made.)
You got a link to the suri alpaca yarn? It sounds like it feels delicious! Also, i was seeing berries rather than chilies. I'm sure that will change when you brighten up the blue
For the Christmas lights socks: yes, they do look like Christmas lights. But the Peachy-orange color- the second color from the top- is throwing me off a bit. Like, the color is too Spring-ish(??). Otherwise, they’re pretty cute!
Bagel's butt wiggle is so funny. 😹 I really like the black buttons on your Field Day Cardigan. 🧶 I have a lot of "skein & a halves" also. And I'm like...what do I do with these? I really like your Holiday Beanie.
