Bobbi, I planted my tulips in frozen soil quite late, December 18, 2023, so time will tell whether they will perform this spring. I cut the bottoms out of 4 80-gallon poly stock tanks and filled them with container mix last fall. I'm trying to raise my planting areas, so I don't have to stoop and bend as much. You'll love the garden scoop, it's so handy for filling pots. I purchased two large cast aluminum ice scoops from Amazon last spring, and I love them. One holds 58 ounces (great size), and the larger one holds 85 ounces (which is a little too large). I hope we both have some beautiful spring blooms. ~Margie🤗💚🌷💐

Hi Margie! I have a feeling your tulip bulbs will do just fine! I’m happy too about your raised planters, you will love having them at a better level and easier on the back! I’m loving the soil scoop. Seems like I use them all the time and yours definitely sound like the perfect size! Praying all is well with you! 🤗

🖐️ I’m not a coffee drinker. Love your creativity of using an ironing board as a table. Very practical. Something you won’t see in others videos. 💕 it!!! I never think of chilling bulbs either until later. Thanks for sharing Bobbi.

lol Sis 😂 I don’t know for sure but I do know that I’m always looking for more ironing boards if you have one hanging around that you don’t use 😉 Thanks for watching, love you too!!! ❤️❤️❤️

Can't wait to see these bloom! On a side note, this year is the first year I've planted Daffodils in the yard. I fear I planted them too deep but we'll see. Bobbi - I love love love the ironing board as a potting station!! That is a nice scoop for your projects too!

Thanks so much my friend! Daff bulbs are pretty large so I doubt you planted them too deeply. I do love using old ironing boards for potting tables, they are just the right height! I love the scoop too, it will come in very handy!

Love that big scoop. This info came at a good time... I put tulip bulbs in the fridge for the very first time because deer ate them all down last year so I decided to try something new for me, not going to force inside but I want to plant them in planters at the time they would normally come up so your video was very helpful... I'm sure yours will do fine... not quite so sure about mine lol😂 🤞

I’m loving the scoop too! It’s nice to have a product that is useful! I’m sure your chilled Tulips will do fine. Are you planning on planting them the suggested depth of 5 to 6”?

@@GardeningOnTaylorMountain well that's actually one of the things I wasn't certain about so after watching you I decided I would only go about 3 to 5 inches. I have several pots worth of bulbs so maybe I'll experiment with it a little bit. Your video gave me a little more confidence about it all... thanks.

@@bohemiangardensandgourdfar8812 I would lean more toward the 4-5”. It’s kind of hard to know what to do for sure but I feel confident that yours will do just fine! When you are trying to force bulbs, you don’t need to plant as deep which is not the case for yours.

Do you know what the diameter of the bowls are that you used? I prefer to order pots instead of taking the time to hunt down the size I think I need. I think those bowls look sturdy enough to hold a grouping of amaryllis bulbs. 🙏 Thanks!

Hi Deborah! The larger bowls are 14” and the smaller ones are 12”. I think they would be perfect for Amaryllis!
