I really enjoyed this. Can't wait for the next installments of this series: Farfetch'd Fight Bruxish Brawl Shuckle Scuffle Fidough Fisticuffs Wurmple Wrestling Zigzagoon Zaragata
@@antoniopriego5660What if you’re redirecting that move from a 6+ max attk adamant furret into a bold max health furret? Or chopple berry furret, or ghost tera furret, or endeavor furret, or +6 defense furret, or furret behind a substitute, or low hp furret that successfully set up light screen so an attacker furret can come in? Or the furret you’re protecting had +6 in all stats but 1HP and opponent has quick attack so the redirection is needed to baton pass Into the final furret? Give yourself some more credit!
Seeing Choice Specs Furret hit 5 Focus Blasts in a row live was the most excited a Pokemon tournament has made me in a long time. Thank you to Jim, all the players, and especially to Furret.
Jimothy, I implore you, please host a furret frenzy 2. I feel like I let down the fans, you, and worst of all Furret. It is about Furret’s honor. Thank you for hosting this tournament, it is by far the most fun and goofy meta game I have played.
I genuinely want to see move "all x" metagames. It's very interesting how complex the meta can be even with just 1 Pokémon and a relatively shallow move pool.
23:02 "Platypuses has done his calculations, and, in fact, the minus one knock off against an enemy Chris from Family Guy tera ghost plus two coil is a three-hit KO." Next thing you'll tell me is it's dipped in Mama Liz's chili oil.
Am I the only one that loves the way Jim speaks? like his word selection and inflection make me giggle. it also helps that the tournament is very entertaining, Keep up the good work Jim, the folks got you!
Fun Furret Fact: "Rylan" is based on a Shiny Furret I caught on my Pokémon Scarlet DLC playthrough, which I also ran with Choice Band. He's named after my partner!
Mint played pretty well, but it was a pretty huge blunder to not bring a single tera ghost mon to an all Furret tourney. That's what really sealed their loss.
Im 30 and ive been playing pokemon since before i had gained true consciousness. Ive beaten many a nuzlocke, beaten many a kaizo game, reached top 500 in multiple metas of showdown. And yet this is the single greatest and most entertaining competition i have witnessed. We have reached peak interactive gameplay.
Honestly I came here with low expectations, not believing in the endless potential of Furret Used. Thanks jimothy cool for making me see the beauty of this amazing format.
a 6v6 tourney with only Dudunsparce would be peak, with its movepool (Boomburst, Roost, Toxic, Calm Mind, Body Press, Shadow Ball, Glare, Stealth Rock, Stored Power, Coil, Pain Split, Dragon Tail) it would make an interesting tourney
Out of all the incredibly goofy sets featured in this video, I think the anti-FEAR set might be my favourite. Pinch berry to use the incoming Endeavour as a setup opportunity, Trick to safely remove the Focus Sash without putting yourself into Quick Attack KO range, boosting move to exploit your own position of safety, and finally Sucker Punch to get around Quick Attack. It's such a hilariously intricate way to ruin FEAR when simply running a Quick Attack of your own would suffice.
One of your best videos so far, the commentary was hilarious and the meta around Furret surprisingly varied. Interesting to see Chilling Water drop in usage in the top level games, I thought it would be better than it ended up being, maybe due to Batton Pass to a special Furret being an option and other techs.
The chip damage on chilling water was good but it went totally outperformed by charm, loved this event, not only it was hilarious but incredibly engaging and interesting at the same time, undeserved levels of gaming for a furretcentric tourney
I was fighting an incredibly difficult Toontown boss while watching this stream, and seeing the 5 back to back Focus Blast hits almost got me killed. It was truly insane.
Tera Electric Furret was absolutely insane and I need more of it in my life. Hyper Voice/Throat Spray to get +1 without locking in, Coil walls physical Furrets and gives you accuracy, Thunder hits every tera type neutrally and Focus Blast onetaps non-tera'd Furrets. I'm surprised we didn't see more Facade, though. Coil, Fling, Facade, Baton Pass seems like a decent aggressive lead to me, though maybe there's more value in having a direct attack dropping move like BDE.
this is really interesting and fun! i hope you give other pokémon a chance to have their own tournaments, but for now a Furret one is so sweet! i love furret even if it's not the best pokémon in the world!
I think this was my favorite tournament coverage I've ever watched on youtube. Top tier plays. Excellent commentary. An all round joy. The silence after The Item Reveal on Furret (you know the one) in Grand Finals was so loud.
Furrets forced to fight other furrets, what sick mind put this together This was awesome and the longest yt video I ever finished, pls do a double battles one
Who wouldve thought that the first few games would be so amusing while the last few would be such nailbiters. Excellent commentary Jim, almost as excellent as furret itself
This was, no jokes, the best tournament not only of pokemon but anything that I have never ever seen, an anthology event, people will still talking about this furretmania for centuries to come
As the biggest Furret fan, I am proud of my fellow Furret supporters fight so valiantly in this tournament. Glad to see all of the creative sets and builds, lots of fun!
I dunno man I feel like furret is a good enough counter to firret that furret isn't much of a problem. Sure you lose a few games to furret, but that's just part of the metagame
«The Furret metagame is evolving», «Amnesia is intelligent in the Choice Specs Furret metagame», «This is standart Furret procedure», «"Who ever coils first, recoils in horror" is a common adage in the Furret community», «Paltypus is an experienced Furreter»... The narrtion is a gold mine as a gift to the venerable Furret community.
Halfway through, and so far, this is a blast to watch. I would love to see this done in a doubles format and see what that changes about the meta. I think it would also be a great idea to host an expanded tournament that includes all first route rodents and see how that meta develops.
At the set between ausma and portobello mushroom and I like portobello mushroom’s use of fear strats but I don’t think the play is just spamming endeavor over and over to get the quick attack ko. I think the play is to have a defensive rocky helmet furret in the back that can maybe also threaten setup pass or maybe brick break so that they no longer have the hp to set up. If they ignore you to set up you have a guy in the back to deal with it that you can immediately switch out to now that they’re on 5% and if they do pop your sash then you can endeavor and quick attack
Banning every pokemon to the point that you find a million sets in a single pokemon is a crazy concept. Now i'm curious about what would happen if you loosen the restraint to pokemon with a base stat total of 325. This would include Dwebble, Eevee, Exeggcute, Grimer, Honedge, Krabby, Magnemite, Seel, Shellos (Based on Bulbapedia)
double dance/defensive tera (+ baton pass potentially) felt like the set to beat, seemed like in the absence of a hard stopper like red card it just took over games
Special Furret can break through if the opponent has no spdef boosts and no bulk investment, only issue is not getting OHKO'd before even getting an attack off. Focus Sash can mitigate that, but that means not running Throat Spray.
This is such an amazing idea, but idk if the 2 hour, low unedits, presentation is the ideal presentation. I feel like this could be huge if it was condensed
3:55 Game one we had... A furret chip-drop to berry range and +6 speed, only to die to... a quick attack right after... in a metagame- where every pokemon has stab quick attack.
