So is this an open and go advent book? Its flipping pretty quickly and even on amazon theres not good sample pages. I can kind of see "if you want to read more go to..." So will i need to have a bible as well? Im kind of wanting something all in one. I was thinking the Jesus storybook bible, but I'm still debating on that or colleen's book
You read one page each day during the month of December. Colleen has a short narrative/summarized passage (about a page long) that talks about each person from the Bible that we are introduced to. At the bottom of the page/passage, there are some short questions that parents can ask their children. There are Bible passages listed if you want to go in more depth and read the actual passage from the Bible that they are mentioned in, but it’s not required. I have another video on my channel where I interview Colleen and you can see some still images of the book’s interior. If you’re looking for something easy and manageable for Advent or Jesse Tree specific, my kids (6 and 9 at the time) did it by themselves when I was sick and in bed. Their own initiative too! They would flip to the page for the day and then hang up the matching ornament. The Jesus Storybook Bible is much longer and covers many of the same characters we highlight in our book, but more Old Testament stories and the New Testament as well. Hopefully that helps answer some of your questions!
