@@gamingnurse5.56 If milsim guys are being honest, a lot of them are there for the Barbie doll tactical dress-up accessorizing in desert tan and coyote complementary colors. I laughed so hard when I heard that the first time. There are some great mods for Arma 3, but the amount of HDD space people dedicate to purely cosmetic variations that offer no difference in gameplay speaks for itself. :D
I haven’t watched any arma or Dayz content in a while and damn it’s so nostalgic. There’s something about this engine that always just felt right even though it has it’s fair share of problems
@@Acrophobia2 not really DayZ is running a hybrid of old and new Enfusion engine... but a bit older version ArmA Reforger is officially FIRST and ONLY game in the world running FULLY on Enfusion ArmA reforger and DayZ feel very similar but also very different... It's not ENTIRELY different engine lol

This was genuinely funny. Hilarious when you bugged 1st Lt. Capt. Spartangraph; his reaction was great. The way you stayed in-game while the server imploded, and took cinematic shots, elevates this from regular gameplay.
I love the "Get in cover!" from them as they try to yell but not yell in their basement or in their room without waking family and you know they're just sitting at their TV in like a beanbag
@@francmeister420 What? I'll make fun of a guy wearing full mil gear at his desk demanding someone call him sergeant. Just that's the most common situation of someone playing console, they're sitting(beanbag, a chair, whatever I chose beanbag because they're comfy and what I used when I played console) and the endcards literally mention someone who was yelling was told to go to bed by family hell, it wasn't even a dig I just found it comedic, it wasn't a "haha, I love how they're too poor to own a pc yadada" I'm saying I love the attempt to not anger family while keeping it serious
The part where Viking is yelling at the other two guys for 'disrespect' is so accurate to a lot of milsim groups. Superiority complexes are never fun to play alongside. I'm so glad to be a part of a good and friendly unit these days
That's why when i'm in charge of people in milsim servers on reforger i Always act like the cliché vietnam sarge, it makes everyone get a good laugh and they listen to me at least 😂😂

@@praharin every interaction I’ve had with him in game he has been loud and doesn’t listen. Idk if there is history but he has a rank and is expected to act like it. It’s a milsim group and he has been warned 🤷🏻♂️ the footage recorded was the first time the lobby had ever hit 40 players max. There were many bugs with the gms taking away the command and structure. Unfortunately the way this video was edited, it made it seem like this is a insight into the group, when in reality nearly 85% of the lobby was randoms. Since this video has been uploaded the servers had been trolled to the point we had to shut them down. The group is less than 2 weeks old and it’s already getting annihilated

17:20 that Viking guy is actually why I stopped playing Arma years ago. Too many people take it way too seriously and think it's a perfect sim for them to revisit their glory days in the service, or worse, LARP because they never joined
While there are certainly are people like him, I guess it's just about finding the right group to play with. I definitely know about groups that are milsim but relaxed at the same time, but to be fair I am not from the US and the mentality certainly is a bit different, as we are not a big country to begin with
We had a group and we were getting ourselves called Bravo-6, WE were playing milsim style but no one could give us orders without us changing the whole plan, ending up working good for us, and people loved us cuz we were playing milsim right but there's a small detail, we were all acting like the CoD Bravo-6 members and everyone loved it 😂
Yeah I took 1 year hiatus from arma for the same reasons. From 2016-2022 I was with a large arma milsim group that I won’t name. There was some great people in that group, but also some guys that really ruined the fun of it. One guy in particular was in a position of power in my unit. He had previously been active duty before he got into arma. This guy would get really drunk and start yelling and belittling everyone under him. He would micromanage everyone and go on these long tirades of “if this was a real life situation you would (insert the blank)”. And once he was blackout drunk he’d start telling everyone they don’t know what it’s like to serve their country, wouldn’t make it, ect. Took a break, now I play with a smaller group of guys that like to keep it milsim but way more relaxed and not over the top.
As a former Xbox guy, I’m not surprised to see so many Xbox players on Reforger! I remembered a lot of the guys and gals I played with wanted to have an Arma experience on console. After all, not everyone can afford a high end PC
@@owenmoore7656 public servers on arma are almost always shit shows the private servers are where it gets really good 2nd ranger private (speaking from experience) is very organized and disciplined

Really pulling for Spartan to get promoted, I wish the upper ranks knew that he has a baby on the way and the wife has been busting his balls off for him to get their growing family into a bigger home.
They will never fit all the controls for a traditional ARMA game onto a gamepad. So I think it's safe to say none of us should get our hopes up for ARMA 4 if the devs are abandoning PC players for some console cash. And they will say they aren't abandoning PC players yada yada. But we all know that in reality they aren't going to basically develop 2 completely separate games. They'll more likely just water down the PC version instead. If they can't get something to work on console then they will probably just cut it on PC too for parity and cross-play purposes. That's not to say it won't be a good game, but we might always wonder exactly what we may end up missing gout on because of console 1st mentality.
I knew from the thumbnail this was gonna be Reforger and so I probably know what group you joined up with, in fact I thought I heard you in one of their videos recently.
Console and Milsim just don't go together, consoles are made for casual games most console players are casual which in turns any Milsim game into a more casual battlefield experience. I understand not being able to afford a pc I've been there but if was a console player wanting that Milsim experience I would just wait it out until I can get myself a pc because even when you get into that casual buggy mess of a console "Milsim" game you won't find that Milsim experience you were hoping for that you see all the youtubers on pc have.
As of now I have formally apologized to carrot and said it was a big miss understanding but all of you know he only recorded one day of footage I'm not always that mean to carrot lol but good damnit carrot if your reading this turn off the god damn radio

I forget how disorganized other MILSIM Units are on Reforger. This is definitely not a good representation of this game, but I hope you enjoyed our 3/75th mod at least

Dunno how you stayed sane lol Feel bad for these kids chasing ranks in a group that doesn't care about them. To each their own, but when i was looking for a group to play with, i could not stand milsim groups with a permanent rank structure. Need me a sim group who'll just bounce ideas, doctrine, and theory off eachother. The strict yet inconsistent SOP a lot of these public milsim discords employ feels a tad too lord-of-the-flies for my liking.
