I suggest a look at the nvidia-settings with sudo privileges, I had similar problems a while back with ubuntu 16.04 LTS. I do not know, which setting(s) solved the problems, though.. :/ Maybe it was a tweak in the 'overall rendering quality'- setting, you could set it to 'performance' as far as I remember.
I have never seen a computer struggle with SNES emulation. Even my grandma's PC in 2010 could run it with no issues, even up to N64 I was kind of a weird kid GTA San Andreas also ran pretty well there btw, don't think my grandma ever found out she had GTA on her computer. It'd be in big trouble
my main gripe with hyfetch is that you need to state your fucking sexuality to just see what crappy dual-core i3 i am using. and i don't want the CIA to know whether i am gay or not or something.
Could be worse. You could have my netbook sitting there for hours permanently thermal throttled due to a broken fan and compiling its network card driver.
Good video tho, the emulators might have ran better without using the retroarch frontend as that might be taking some extra cpu to run, which in this case you kinda can't afford to loss.
Didn't think about that! There's probably a good chance steam and retroarch are taking up precious resources where running bsnes or snes9x directly may give SLIGHTLY better performance lol.
Nouveau is slightly better than Nvidia 340. Nouveau was more stable and was slightly more performant, at least on Ubuntu 22.04 how do i have marginally less subscribers than you also that Quadro FX 3800 i got caught on fire. Nvidia has fallen. Billions must buy Radeon.
