Personally I also think both parties should be willing to spend on dates and do the same things for each other regardless of gender, in my opinion I think that also has unesseccery hindrance on potential relationships. If I'm a guy "chivalry" aint my thing unless we are both doing the "chivalry" otherwise I don't feel worth shit either , in other words ,fairness where it can be possible.

@@dcal1452 It is the classic 'all men are pigs' saying, which has the obvious answer of 'well, do not exclusively date pigs then'. Men obviously have equivelant phrases and the answer is the same. Thing is there isn't really a clear solution to it, you can't really help yourself, but be attracted to certain types of people.

Oooh girl that's a bit of a worry that you feel tied down by your relationship and want to see what else is out there (that's the way it's coming across). Sometimes the grass isn't greener on the other side. If he treats you well and is a good guy hold on to what you have and forget about the hypothetical guys you could be dating. Men's shenanigans nowadays are something else.

It’s definitely a southern thing. I have never paid for a date in my life. I had a conversation with a guy friend about this. It’s kind of messed up but his answer made sense: he said he goes 50-50 with the type of girls who carry more masculine energy, didn’t see themselves as the prize. But he never made me pay because he valued us as “girlfriend material.” Women on TikTok have been trying to tell the girls this the whole time. Not everybody needs to play the submissive, docile role, to each their own. But if women carry that kind of energy chasing the man there will be consequences lol. We were drunk having this conversation but it was spot on. He basically say he doesn’t respect the girls who would go 50-50 but he would sleep with them anyway because he got what he wanted out of it and didn’t even have to do much. It was completely eye-opening and I never ever forget. Edit: corrected typo

(My ex is not from the south but he came from an established Mexican family and it’s in their culture to naturally be the sole provider.) I think all men deep down want to be providers, if they can’t afford it then that’s a predicament. But I don’t think any man genuinely wants women to be paying half for everything. That’s why I tell college girls to just wait until they’re older to look for a relationship because you can’t go 50-50 when you’re pregnant lol. I’ve had honest conversations with young guys like my friend who say they end up not respecting the girl because they make it so easy and then they feel like they’re not doing their part as a man. I told a story about when I was in Boston dating a guy. He had some issues with toxic masculinity and was not a good match for me. But I was really open about my channel growth at the time and when he saw my apartment he genuinely got upset because he thought I was more successful than him. Those are the type of guys to AVOID. I don’t think it’s bad at all to let a man do what he actually wants which is to take care of us.

@@KellyStamps them in that case paying is not the problem, but that most men just don't like or respect women but see no problem with using them. Men act like women having sex "too soon" is shameful but will do the same and not lose "respect" for themselves for doing the same thing that they would criticize women for. Honestly dating most men is not even worth it. Why would you be okay with men who would be okay treating certain woman badly but as long as they treat you well it's okay?

@@KellyStamps I think more so that “feminine energy” it’s about whether the man really likes/respects the woman and her internal sense of worth and boundaries. There are a lot of feminine women getting used or played. I know women who are not traditionally feminine: they aren’t small, well dressed and they are opinionated (which is apparently masculine now?), but they are taken care of and happy nonetheless. I will say, a guy asking to do 50/50 (versus the woman initiating it due to her preferences) is a red flag that he’s hedging bets and trying to get without giving. Personally, I think rather than masculine or feminine people should be their best selves and love who appreciates that. If tweaks need to be made to attractive different types, that is fine too!

@@gensai93 I disagree. Most men DO like and respect women. The problem is this ...the guys who have the OPTION of having sex with many women, are few and far between. The guys who do like and respect women, women don't even see them or desire them. So women see those guys(Chad, Tyrone) as having lost respect for them. They are just exercising their options.
