Apparently this is similar to a minigame on Hypixel. I wasn't aware. I made a prototype for this about a year ago and remembered it recently. Just a coincidence I guess. This exact minigame exist since 2012 in many french servers. We called it "dé à coudre" which mean "thimble", because at the end there is only a few blocks of water available to land. This is like trying to land in something as small as a thimble.
I invented a game also, Sort of a mix of fishing, basketball and quidditch, also explosives, First you need a glitched tnt, when you blow too much up at once it makes a white larger than average about to explode tnt that doesn’t explode and you can fishing rod it, Then you need to build some hoops vertically (as many as you want and as high as you want) for each block up the hoop scores a point, at 3blocks you can get 3 points and -1enemy points and you can increase with higher hoops, Aim is first to (set number, eg. 20) points by fishing rodding (in creative) the tnt through their hoops wins, pitch can be as large as you want and it is very customisable in layout and rules
i played something similar except there was no fighting to the top, it was just taking turns, jumping and placing a block where you land. if you die from fall damage(landing where someone else landed) you are out and last to survive wins.
These mini game ideas are reminding me of back when I used to watch stampy make all his really cool mini games and then play them and then I would replicate the games to play with the brother
I made one once called Moshpit, a giant multi level arena with an open roof filled with honey ice and slime. You wear leather armour, and have wooden swords with knock back 2, and an infinity punch 2 bow. The sim is to kill all the other players.
Ok, to build this thing here's a tutorial: Step 1: get friends Step 2: make a 10x10 hole and fill it with water Step 3: build a ladder about 20 - 30 blocks high up Step 4: nest to the ladder, place beds then the wool of the chosen color And your done! If it was me, step 1 is the HARDEST step
but then the player that gets to jump off first has a disadvantage since the other can take over their wool, so both players if they think about it would wait for each other to hop first
Minigame idea: This mini game uses stuffs like Powdered Snow Snow Stone Bricks Lava Terracotta (Any color) Pickaxe and shovel It's like spleef but with an extra twist it has powdered snow so it's basically a more risky spleef with some real blocks (That's why there's a pickaxe)
I'd put a checker pattern on the bottom of the pool (maybe using light-emitting blocks so it's easier to see) so that it's easier to discern exactly which block you landed on
bruh people saying "its from hypixel" disapoint me so much, its not because its on hypixel that they invented it this minigames has been around since minecraft added water...
I’m an OG minecrafter comparing this to spleen witch doesn’t require red stone I’d give it a 10/10 it super simple no red stone and easy to build. Nice work
I don’t think that the fighting aspect of it is a good idea, that would make the game unfair in a sense, where more players would be able to place down more wool than others simply because they know how to press a few buttons better than the other players
i havent seen that many videos from this guy but this is as far as i can remember is at least the second time a minigame is just suspiciously similar to another already existing, so this for me is strike two.
I'm a beginning map maker and I would love to put all of these in one world, flesh it all out with datapacks and commands to make for an awesome multiplayer map you can play with your friends, so don't be suprised if you see me using all these amazing minigame idias soon.
