I don't get the hate for Carl. Never ducked anyone, hard as nails and very skilled, and a fantastic career. I think he's a bit of a nervous speaker but he doesn't mean any harm. Decent bloke imo.

Alot of people say Carl is full of himself but he talks sense and anyone getting in a boxing ring achieving what he has should be proud of all the milestones in there life.
always loved watching Carl fight ,never boring always exiting ,I think most people completely misunderstand were he's coming from ,he says it how it is and most of the time its all tongue in cheek .
I really don't get all the hate on froch. Whenever I've seen him interviewed he always comes over half intelligent and perfectly reasonable. I think there are just a lot of jealous no mark around who will never achieve a thousandth of what this guy has. I think he deserves a bit of respect. After all he didn't stop the first groves fight the ref did and he was gracious enough to give him another go. Can't be fairer than that. Yes I think it was unfairly stopped first time round but that's hardly his fault.
Perhaps i am missing something . He seems genuine and reasonable enough , so why all the negative comments . He worked in Tesco , if that is true , good for him perhaps people were expecting an interview with Noel Coward .
I was in the ring as an amatuer , i wasn t very good , out of 17 fights i lost 11 times and won 6 . But i can assure you it takes balls to enter a ring and alot of these comments would not be said to his face . He seems a decent enough bloke and the amount of slagging off this man is getting is disgusting .
Sam Sum well said ! seems there’s an awful lot of jealous people hear who’ve never entered a ring, Carl was a great boxer and should have the upmost respect, all these haters wouldn’t stand a chance with the man in or out the ring 🥊

Carl we sparred in London in a boxing gym off appold street in 2007 and it was a great pleasure as a student spending time with you delighted for your success and pleased to have discovered this channel

He was. GGG fought a super middleweight in Euro level Martin Murray and Murray took GGG 11 rounds. Froch would have blasted Martin Murray out in just a round or two. Froch had something like a 5 to 6 inch reach advantage over GGG and was way taller. They say a 2 inch reach advantage is huge let alone 5 or 6. It would have been like Froch Vs Abraham. Abraham was a heavy handed middleweight who was undefeated knocked everyone out in dramatic fashion. Absolutely everyone said Abraham was going to kill Froch and beat him easy. Froch boxed his ears off as he was simply too small.
@David David Ofcourse you can. Murray was Euro level who failed every shot he had at world titles against crap world champions. And he lost to people who Froch beat. There are levels and Murray was not world level like Froch.
@David David Again, there are levels. Froch was world class and Murray simply wasn't. Everytime Murray fought anyone remotely close to world level he fell short every time. Froch would have blasted him out within 5.

GGG kept saying he would move up to super middleweight an clean out the division, but he never did, why? Because he tried his hand at fighting a Euro level super middleweight as a tester and got took the furthest he'd ever been, 11 rounds. All experts said GGG was too small for super middleweight. Froch had a massive 6 inch reach advantage over GGG. They say 2 inches is massive let alone 6. Froch V GGG would have been exactly like Froch V Abraham. Abraham was an undefeated middleweight monster knocking everyone out and everyone said he wasn't just going to beat Froch, he was going to kill him. Froch was simply too big and boxed his ears off. A good big man beats a good little man. Only reason GGG use to use Froch's name was to ride off his name as he only ever used to mention Froch when he had a fight coming up, never after.
Gotta love the Cobra! It's nice that he has the right balance between having boundaries and yet realising that he can mean a lot to people, so gives them a chance. It's a hard balance to get right I presume

I was in a pub in Norwich once and I bumped into Herbie Hyde spilling his beer. He apologised to me before I did likewise. Funny but there is no way I would ever dream of getting in an argument with a boxer even though we were about the same size. Thankfully it never got anywhere near that.

I’ve met Carl and I have to say he was a complete bellend. I was stone cold sober and very respectful and he just dismissed me in the most arrogant of ways
