interesting to see but not all to surprising i have played three houses and mainly crimson flower enough to know that it is very possible to get a first try iron man on it i know its the route i am picking if i ever do it myself

Currently watching this while doing Golden Deer on Maddening (not Iron Man though cuz i could never lol) and Viskams make the early chapters so damn easy Although my Blues Lions Maddening run... I think I got stuck on the final chapter and never finished it. Hope I didn't delete/overwrite the save file but honestly now that I know what I'm doing I should probably redo it anyway

I wish I could have been there at the finale but Twitch wouldn’t let me see non-german stream as there were always error messages. If I was there I would have used all my channel points for music request "God shattering star" 😊

I tried doing this, I made good progress until I got to Red Canyon, and well RNG, let's just say anything that isn't a 100% hit is literally a 50/50, the plan was perfect, everything was perfect but then Byleth got destroyed by a 2% crit, forcing me to start again... Yeah, I'm not gonna make another attempt. This makes my blood boil, 89% hit rate missing, 2% enemy crit rate landing... I hate RNG.

I definitely found a lot of the difficulty in this run to be pretty front-loaded. Once you make it past the first few chapters and your units really start to get rolling, the difficulty starts to balance out.

I think the farthest I got was chapter 9 (or 10? whichever one was the chapel) The monsters were just too much to deal with.

Nah, unlike Fates, Three Houses is one game so I'm satisfied to just see the end credits once. Plus I reeeeeaaaaally don't wanna do Maddening Hunting By Daybreak in an Ironman setting - that's why I chose CF in the first place.

Who tf are those students?? Are there different casts of students depending on which class you take?? I've only just gotten to playing 3H and I'm playing with Claude's crew but I've never seen half of the students on your team like???

Yeah, each of the 3 main houses has a different roster; and there are also DLC characters like Yuri, Coco, Hapi and Balthus. Most students can be recruited outside of their starting house as well, so you are free to mix and match.

@@FosterTV_ OH they're DLC, that makes sense. I know there are different students for each class, but I was certain you interact with all of them throughout the school anyways, I didn't think the entire school roster changes depending on which class you choose, lmao. Figures there's DLC characters 😮‍💨

Yeah, I'd say that run is easily the most brutal guantlet I've subjected myself to so far in my career. I guess we'll see if anything ever tops it in the future, but the bar is set high.

It helps to try and plan builds in advance, ultimately tho on lower difficulties you can kinda just take units down their natural paths and be fine. Also, if you're really not sure what to do with certain characters there are tonnes resources online that can help.

Cuz doing it this way means I have to work for it as part of the run, instead of being gifted it for free from a previous playthrough. I wanted this Ironman to be as self-contained as possible.

@@Jonas_TGCW You have infinite resources with NG+. When you calendar skip, you don't get as many actions that month. You do get infinite repairs for Byleth's weapon, but nothing else.

@@Sarmachus Tbh I don't too much about calendar skip, but that sounds quite a bit worse than NG+ true. I think OP just thought that if he goes and uses a glitch to get something he shouldn't have (Which I don't mind personally) He could've used NG+ for that since using them like that does gets you the same thing. :)
