Rupert has a very uncommon capability to use rational arguments to explain non duality at the same time that shows a great love and compassion for his interlocutor

My late husband once had an out-of-body experience, and the last thing he heard was, “Live your life. Nothing is wrong.” That’s the good that knows no opposite. I love how the Consciousness-only model is diametrically opposed to everything we’ve ever been taught, and yet everything Rupert says is reasonable, rational and logical. I get a kick out of being in the middle of an experience, like a yoga class, and thinking, “This is imaginary. This is simply the activity of Consciousness’s imagination.” It immediately takes the anxiety and pressure out of life. Nothing is wrong. I love it!

I had 2 NDE's and there was no time. Everything was simultaneous. There is no external "God" from any religion handing out rewards, punishments or judgements. I saw that there is no heaven or hell, as in places we go. I saw that evil comes from fear and not knowing/remembering who we all are. It is not ultimately real. We are all Pure Awareness/love but that is saying too much. It's beyond the mind, beyond conceptual thinking, yet includes it all. Nothing and everything simultaneously. I heard a very clear voice say "Have no opinion. Hold no judgement. Therein lies freedom".

This stuff is so difficult to explain and Rupert has done such a good job here. I had a near death experience back in the 1980s and during this experience, the things Rupert is explaining were part of a "groking" thing i went through. During this experience, I "knew" in a sort of "package" of knowing the things he's explaining. I think this experience helped me understand this now. All we have is our own experience while we're here in this lifetime. So to explain this to another person, I use metaphor and examples and maybe something I might know of their experience. I struggle with the telling and the whole time I know that I'm not able to communicate what is there. It was like opening this door into a room I forgot was there and finding it filled with light and thinking "OH, yeah, I remember now!"

For a person on earth the sun rises in the east! If we ask the same question to the sun what will the sun answer???? The sun is beyond rising and setting but appears to the earth beings as if it rises and sets! Similarly awareness/consciousness is beyond any duality of good bad etc.

I would like Rupert and his "followers" to consider that "awareness" does not exist. Inquire, is it possible that "awareness" is merely another "thought" that in such a case takes the form of a consciousness perceiving itself as distinct from its environment? Duality (the split between subject & object) may be the very nature of reality, needed for reality to exist, or appear to exist. We NEED duality to be, for our very "being-ness" to be. Ultimately, awareness is just another thought, and a kind of illusion, and being-ness (which is beyond awareness) is the true but unrelateable reality.

The issue is most people still continue to relate 'awareness' and consciousness' to the body-mind as they have had no direct experience or glimpse of their true nature and have forgotten ultimately. I guess a way we can respond with body-mind awareness and true self-awareness to help them make the distinction.

I understand the teaching value of "I AM" but it is fundamental to understand that in the truest sense it is really the "I" that creates something out of nothing. By its very nature it can only be one syllable. Even to use the I AM for expediency when relaying the concept corrupts it. So how can one eternal "NOW" ever escape or experience anything more? It happened when for whatever reason a single point was contemplated outside of its self. Reality exists via kind of a ratchet like contemplation rather than an actual linear time line because time doesn't actually exist. The very best way to visualize the basics of how this works is to imagine how an elaborate grandfather clock works. To progress the pendulum does not progress on a linear time line from A to B C D E F G H I etc to infinity. Instead the pendulum swings from point A to point B repeatedly and RATCHETS its elaborate advancement of geometric gears mathematically to progress its seconds, minutes, hours, days, months and even moon cycles some of these clocks. Again, all simply from the pendulum alternating from point A to point B. The "I" contemplating the progression is akin to a bell ringing. A massive bell with sides 3 feet thick of metal when struck with a solid object may not move at all but ring by vibrating from point A to point B. This relates the OHM that monks chant. Now you need to comprehend the importance of math and geometry that comes into play between the point A and point B. As the "ONE" contemplates its "I AM" as it alternates between the point A and point B with a series of numbers and shapes. It has been said that math and geometry were not invented, but discovered and this is why. If all of this sounds preposterous just contemplate the computer you are on right now that uses a binary operating system of just "1's" and "0's" to create a rich 3-D interactive environment resulting in consequences and high fidelity sound. When you comprehend the importance of the "I" and of the eternal "Now" you can then progress to deeper into how to perceive and influence our seemingly physical reality but that would take many pages to cover.

Ok, but how far does understanding take you? Wouldn’t taking a mind expanding medicine fast track you to having a more direct non-conceptual experience? Ok, consciousnesses is dreaming everything, but the dream characters can suffer enormously. For many it is a nightmare, without any chance of realising their true nature to somehow ameliorate their predicament. Consciousness seems rather callous and indifferent towards suffering and good vs evil, since it remains unaffected. Lucky ol’ consciousness, poor humans and animals.

The reason for our becoming self-conscious, or self-aware, creatures will become apparent later on, when we begin exploring the nature of being human in greater detail. But this human self-consciousness is something quite different in nature to the reality of the Consciousness that lies behind and within everything to appear as the myriad forms in existence. Consciousness inhabits and animates creation and its creatures not unlike the power that flows through a computer to make it work in accordance with the hardware and software of the device. By this analogy, the specific physical characteristics of a creature’s body constitute the hardware, and the programming of its mind the software. These things are important to understand because if this conceptual ground is not firm, the model we build from here will not endure, and its potential value will be lost. What all this is pointing to is that what you really are―what we all are―is an eternal, unlimited energy source capable of creating and experiencing events. What you are is this creative source, this Consciousness. Who you are is how this Consciousness works through you to express as something unique in the world. Powerful creative Consciousness is your true and essential nature, but of course, you experience your life through the limitations of a human body, so it may not seem that you are an all-powerful being at times, or indeed ever. By its very nature, the body exists as some ‘thing’ and is, therefore, a limitation or restriction of ‘everything else possible’, to become something specific and useful―a human being. And then it must be remembered that these bodies we inhabit are a product of Mother Earth, and have developed for good reasons. Although today there are many philosophes, theories and just sheer guesses put forward to explain the purpose of our existence, none of them fully describe or satisfactorily explain the original intention for our emergence. Some bodies born into this world have, or will develop over time, physical or mental attributes that further alter the creative opportunities and experiences available to them in a lifetime. The influence of our national culture, the general culture of our times, and the impact of our upbringing by parents and other significant people also become major influences that can place limitations on our thinking and power. Other restrictions occur as a result of the pains we might experience in life, the emotions that often get buried in the body as a result, and the accumulating limited beliefs they then give rise to. There is also the concept of ‘karmic debt’ that will limit opportunities, and this too will be discussed later in the work. The state of your own evolved Consciousness is another factor affecting personal power. All these things limit the opportunities you have in life, and so it can be seen that although your true nature is something quite grand, you find yourself in very limiting circumstances. But it is important to keep perspective. Your essential nature is a free and unlimited Consciousness, a potential capable of eternal creation and experience. And this Consciousness was the reality before the Universe that we know emerged.

Could there be 8 levels of consciousness. 1. Dreamless sleep. 2. Dreaming sleep. 3. The waking state with a train of thought. 4. The meditative state of being restfully alert without a train of thought. 5. Bliss consciousness (The Rapture in Christianity) in which the ego disappears and extreme joy is experienced. 6. God consciousness in which a sensation of infinite expansion is experienced. 7. Nirvana (???) and possibly 8. Death Consciousness, but no one comes back from that to report back.

If God is reality, And if reality is consciousness, Then God is consciousness The Need to Create, Discover, and Explore. God becomes a creative source. He gave us our birthright of curiosity. He remains unknowable, but he unfolds one secret after another in creation. At the far edge of the universe, the unknown is a challenge and a source of wonder. God wants us not to worship but to evolve. Our role is to discover and explore. Nature exists to provide endless mysteries that challenge our intelligence - there is always more to discover. This is your God if you live to explore and be creative, if you feel happiest confronting the unknown, if you have total confidence that nature can be unraveled, including human nature, as long as we keep questioning and never settle for fixed, preordained truth. God becomes pure wonder. After reason has reached the limits of understanding, the mystery remains. Sages, saints, and the divinely inspired have penetrated it. They have felt a divine presence that transcends everyday life. Materialism is an illusion. Creation was fashioned in two layers, the visible and the invisible. Miracles become real when everything is a miracle. To reach God, one must accept the reality of invisible things. Nature is a mask for the divine. This is your God if you are a spiritual seeker. You want to know what lies behind the mask of materialism, to find the source of healing, to experience peace, and to be in direct contact with a divine presence. Unity, the State Beyond All Needs. God becomes One. There is complete fulfillment because you have reached the goal of seeking. You experience the divine everywhere. The last hint of separation has vanished. You have no need to divide saint from sinner, because God imbues everything. In this state, you don't know the truth; you become it. The universe and every event in it are expressions of a single underlying Being, which is pure awareness, pure intelligence, and pure creativity. Nature is the outward form that consciousness takes as it unfolds in time and space. This is your God if you feel totally connected to your soul and your source. Your consciousness has expanded to embrace a cosmic perspective. You see everything happening in the mind of God. The ecstasy of great mystics, who seem especially gifted or chosen, now becomes available to you, because you have fully matured spiritually. The God that brings the scheme to an end, God as One, is different from the others. He isn't a projection. He signifies a state of total certainty and wonder, and if you reach that state, you are no longer projecting. Every need has been fulfilled; the path has ended with reality itself.

That's why all the ills of this world will never be solved once and for all, because it is like one of our nighttime dreams ? Or, they could only be solved if all people realised this ? Subject and object belongs in grammar ! Thank you Rupert for your lucid explanations.

The creation of the Platonic Solids from nothing in Geometry is a nice allegory I think of how consciousness created everything. Allegory might be the wrong word, maybe reflection is better. Geometric Genesis. In the beginning was nothing. Then in the nothing was something (a dimensionless point). The point wanted to see itself. To do this, 3 things had to happen, in no particular order .. the 1st dimension had to be created, the point had to copy itself, and then draw that copy away from itself into that 1st dimension forming a line. Even at this stage, there is no 'size', since there is nothing to measure anything against. There is no time, since there are only two events (like the points at each end of the line), the creation of the 1st point, and the creation of the line bounded by the two points. One might say ALL suffering began when the copied point is drawn away from the original point. The next stage is a fractal of the 1st. The line wishes to experience, see, itself. As a result an arc is drawn out, into the 2nd dimension, held by the original point. The two new end points see each other and the 1st triangles is created. At this stage we now have size, and we also have time. And so it goes on till we have the world we exist in today. I do think that this geometric genesis has something important to say about how consciousness created 'experience', duality, and the fractal archetypal holographic world we experience.

I... is all which truly is. Dukkha is all cosm of the cosmos which seems... to be. ☯️

I have a question..Why does that Consciousness have attributes and values like positive good ,beauty and so on, because of that only Mind could create the opposite values like bad , ugly as such.One may argue that if those good values are not in Consciousness , there can't be any way of showing up or expressing in Mind the opposite of those attributes and values.What is the source of opposite values, is it the mind ?

Imagination - Process of Pure Creation The whole of Creation, including the cosmos, exists in the Mind of God. The process of creation starts with thought - an idea, conception, visualization. Everything you see was once someone's idea. Nothing exists in your world that did not first exist as pure thought. This is true of the universe as well. Thought is the first level of creation. Next comes the word. Everything you say is a thought expressed. It is creative and sends forth creative energy into the universe. Words are more dynamic (thus, some might say more creative) than thought, because words are a different level of vibration from thought. They disrupt (change, alter, affect) the universe with greater impact. Words are the second level of creation. Next comes action. Actions are words moving. Words are thoughts expressed. Thoughts are ideas formed. Ideas are energies come together. Energies are forces released. Forces are elements existent. Elements are particles of God, portions of ALL, the stuff of everything. The beginning is God. The end is action. Action is God creating - or God experienced. Hang on. There's one thing more I have to tell you. You are always seeing what by your terms you would define as the "past," even when you are looking at what is right in front of you. I am? It is impossible to see The Present. The Present "happens," then turns into a burst of light, formed by energy dispersing, and that light reaches your receptors, your eyes, and it takes time for it to do that. All the while the light is reaching you, life is going on, moving forward. The next event is happening while the light from the last event is reaching you. The energy burst reaches your eyes, your receptors send that signal to your brain, which interprets the data and tells you what you are seeing. Yet that is not what is now in front of you at all. It is what you think you are seeing. That is, you are thinking about what you have seen, telling yourself what it is, and deciding what you are going to call it, while what is happening "now" is preceding your process, and awaiting it. To put this simply, I am always one step ahead of you. My God, this is unbelievable. Now listen. The more distance you place between your Self and the physical location of any event, the further into the "past" that event recedes. Place yourself a few light-years back, and what you are looking at happened very, very long ago, indeed. Yet it did not happen "long ago." It is merely physical distance which has created the illusion of "time," and allowed you to experience your Self as being both "here, now" all the while you are being "there, then"! One day you will see that what you call time and space are the same thing. Then you will see that everything is happening right here, right now. This is....this is....wild. I mean, I don't know what to make of all this. When you understand what I have told you, you will understand that nothing you see is real. You are seeing the image of what was once an event, yet even that image, that energy burst, is something you are interpreting. Your personal interpretation of that image is called your image-ination. And you can use your imagination to create anything. Because - and here is the greatest secret of all - your image-ination works both ways. Please? You not only interpret energy, you create it. Imagination is a function of your mind, which is one-third of your three-part being. In your mind you image something, and it begins to take physical form. The longer you image it (and the more OF you who image it), the more physical that form becomes, until the increasing energy you have given it literally bursts into light, flashing an image of itself into what you call your reality. You then "see" the image, and once again decide what it is. Thus, the cycle continues. This is what I have called The Process. This is what YOU ARE. You ARE this Process. This is what I have meant when I have said, you are both the Creator and the Created. I have now brought it all together for you. We are concluding this dialogue, and I have explained to you the mechanics of the universe, the secret of all life. Okay. Now as energy coalesced, it becomes, as I said, very concentrated. But the further one moves from the point of this concentration, the more dissipated the energy becomes. The "air becomes thinner." The aura fades. The energy never completely disappears, because it cannot. It is the stuff of which everything is made. It's All There Is. Yet it can become very, very thin, very subtle - almost "not there." Then, in another place (read that, another part of Itself) it can again coalesce, once more "clumping together" to form what you call matter, and what "looks like" a discreet unit. Now the two units appear separate from each other, and in truth there is no separation at all. This is, in very, very simple and elementary terms, the explanation behind the whole physical universe. Wow. But can it be true? How do I know I haven't just made this all up? Your scientists are already discovering that the building blocks of all of life are the same. They brought back rocks from the moon and found the same stuff they find in trees. They take apart a tree and find the same stuff they find in you. I tell you this: We are all the same stuff. (I and the Father are One Energy) We are the same energy, coalesced, compressed in different ways to create different forms and different matter. Nothing "matters" in and of itself. That is, nothing can become matter all by itself. Jesus said, "Without the Father, I am nothing." The Father of all is pure thought. This is the energy of life. This is what you have chosen to call Absolute Love. This is the God and the Goddess, the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. It is the All-in-All, the Unmoved Mover, the Prime Source. It is that which you have sought to understand from the beginning of time. The Great Mystery, the Endless Enigma, the Eternal Truth. There is only One of Us, and so, it is THAT WHICH YOU ARE.

What should I do

The only rebuttal i would have is that this infinite thing would have to be all-knowing, from every possible perspective. We either believe in/posit a superior awareness and intelligence i.e. God, or we don't. There's no riding the fence on that. If we do then there can be no theory of the physical universe forming by itself whether it is an illusion or not it is a thing that exists regardless of its true form is, it has a form. So then God created this illusion for us and is aware of it of course, or God randomly, chaotically, accidentally came to be. How did we, why did we, as a part of that one consciousness end up divided into this physical world (or illusory world), into bodies? The only explanation seems to be that That single consciousness must have a body as well thus is not seperate from us and that body would be every object that exists everywhere.

Contrast this with science that tells us that the self is a mental construct created by the brain. We don't have to worship at the altar of science to believe this. It is self-evident. Where do "you" go when you go to sleep? Your conscious self does not exist until you wake up the next morning and consciousness is rebooted. Where is your free will when you know you are made of atoms and that atoms obey the law of cause and effect? The need to believe in the self as a supernatural, immortal, and unchanging thing is the root of most of the evil that man perpetrates against himself. It has grown more powerful as society has grown duller and more self-obsessed.

The purpose of life is to wake up! Looking into the mirror, you see the reflection of your self ( ie physical body appearance) in the mirror. When you look at the flowers, trees or any objects around you, it is reflected by and in your 'body mind'. Looking at a tree - the tree is reflected in your 'body mind' - a tree - becomes the reflector ( instead of a mirror), whose reflection of the tree - is your True Self Nature itself. Thus, everything you look at - _is connected to_ and *IS* your True Self Nature. If you look at the flowers, the flowers are you/your True Self Nature! The Zen Masters often say - _"All that is - is it."_ Enlightened 6th Patriarch *_Hui Neng_* says, (to paraphrase). _"Ignorance turns into illumination when the very principle of the Dharma Laksana is realized." ( _*_Platform Sutra_* - refers ) *_Dharma Laksana_* ie Objects & phenomena. ( Sorry, this is hard for most people to realize this profound Dharma laksana - to wake up.) 😊🙏🙇‍♂️🌷

But why does god dream this suffering separate subject at all? Isn't this proof that god is not only bliss, but is also suffering? I think it is.

Ok. I habe the feeling that Rupert is right. But every time I get the feeling, if everybody is the I, is this not some kind of solepsism? There is only consciousness, so everybody is exactly only one being? Sorry for maybe being too naive.

Consciousness is truely non-duality

This is why Christ taught that to sin in your mind/heart is the same as to sin in reality. To consciousness it is the same. It is an event of knowledge acquired. It is the same experience.

When Rupert says Awareness only knows Itself and It's own activity, what is that activity It knows?

A quick question to anybody that thinks they can help me! I'm struggling to find where intent fits into everything. It seems to me intent is a feature of awareness but as I understand it awareness is featureless? Thank you love to all
