Make sure to follow my WTL team on X/Twitter and let them know if you appreciate them picking me up for this event :) Thanks for watching everyone! twitter.com/OFFSYDE_Esports
this thing doesn't work properly on my side of the globe so i'm cheering for y'all here (i also don't have a twit acc that's not banned for extremism lol)
Hey Marc big fan- quick question about why Terrans never drop mules to draw enemy tank fire/splash? It seems like if you dropped a mule or two into his mineral line at 37:42 that would have been massive splash from his two siege tanks, right? Similar situations could apply whenever you scan and see a clump of marines with enemy tanks sieged nearby. Love the vids, keep up the great work!
@@uThermal ah makes sense, thanks for the response, would love to see you YOLO that move someday in the right situation (if you're maxed/rich/have extra orbitals, and that move might even work with dropping changelings near tanks in the split second before they morph right?)
He really is becoming a Random pro. I can see it already. He will ascend higher than ever before. Never again will he be limited to one race. He will master all. And give us all cheese.
I hope so, would be really fun to watch. But he has to have at least 3-4 builds for each of 9 matchups (super hard!), AND be able to adjust when he gets countered while offrace. Right now he's a one trick pony when zerg or protoss. Everybody sees his lingdrop/hyrdra coming when he's zerg. I love watching thermy, so positive. I hope he succeeds
@@__Mr.White__ Simplifying a bit, in the WTL, individuals on the teams play 1v1's against each other, and the team that wins more matches overall wins. I believe there are two reasons they chose a format like that: 1) _SC2_ is very much balanced around 1v1, so co-op often gets very, very cheesy and is at least _perceived_ to have some pretty big race imbalances. 2) All the focus in pro play is on 1v1, so the top-tier players are rarely well-practiced at playing 2v2's and it often shows. In the matches I've seen, they don't adjust their play much, and it often feels like the victors blundered their way into their win due to luck more than skill. Still, I find 2v2's and Archons to be a lot of fun to watch (often even more fun than 1v1), and I wish there was more of it.
OFFSYDE watching in horror as they see you proxy a CC and engineering bay while starting a Ghost Academy in your main. Do it for the memes. Do it for humanity.
Yall have much to learn. The force is strong with your clan but until youre sending 3 workers in the beginning then this is just glamorized bronze league. 1 drone to attack their mineral line draw attention. 1 to kill their barracks worker, 1 drone for cannon rush. That is the challenge for YOU, Mark, win a match with only buildings and and worker bees.
10:49 my goodness. Finally someone talks about this. I'm from Australia, so the AU server has low ping and singapore has 120ms, which can be hard to micro oracles on, but on US west the ping is 180-210ms and it is IMPOSSIBLE to micro oracles on that server. Because of this I try to play more economical (closer to a hero style, at least initially) so I don't have to kill very many drones at all and I think my pvz has improved a lot. I so hate how the oracle moves and sooo wish it was more like the banshee so you could actually micro it. I see so often the oracles decide not to fire on a drone for no particular reason when pros micro them, just cause of how the oracle moves and rotates.
Mastering all races gives you 2 more advantages, becouse you will experience weak /strengt points of a race vs another, better than a single racemaster
As a casual observer, I see banelings lose really hard to marines. If you want banes you HAVE TO either burrow, sets of 2 or be way up on eco. Every other baneling play is a losing play.
UThermal, Can't you just click a speedy dropperlord with banelings on the dropship and if he unloads to kill the banelings you just drop the banelings on top of the marines?
Because its not as interesting to watch, even 2v2 is a little bit hard to watch at time these days. Protoss would almost always massing Phoenix, Terran would just Mech, with PvT is ideally the best combo in 2v2. Basically its not as balance.
I don't understand, you play random, and he plays zerg? Why don't you pick your best race? Reynor is like 6th as zerg but 30th as random, so I know random isn't a benefit.
It is so great seeing you compete again and having a lot of fun while doing it :) And at the same time you are actually doing really great. Having fun nets the most wins :)
incorporating reapers with your marines can be great, right? the nads can bounce/stun enemies while your marines murder. maybe im dumb, but im not sure why more pros don't use reapers past early game. the stun seems pretty good, no?
20:05 Workers decelerate when nearing their build destination, a fancy micro move is for you to move command them (not to the geyser but somewhere beside it) and only build when the unit graze the structure placement. This causes the unit to immediately begin structure without decelerating. And since it's a geyser as a zerg, it's even more fancy I have a big suspicion that you lost that drone because it decelerated just in time for the repear to get its next shot off.
Absolutely awesome as always:) sadly I don't want to go anywhere near the cesspool that is X so I won't be going there, but I am definitely looking forward to seeing you taking your random prowess to a professional stage, gl hf :)
9 matchups that he has to prepare for. TvZ and ZvT might be "the same matchup" but he needs to prepare terran build orders and zerg build orders, so for his preparation it's two different matchups.
when you play Zerg you can play: ZvZ ZvT ZvP when you play Protoss you can play: PvP PvZ PvT when you play Terran you can play: TvT TvP TvZ so it's nine match-ups
