Glad you're feeling better. My grandfather once advised me "never buy cheap tools or cheap shoes." That's all I have to say about Rock Roosters or Golden Foxes.
I agree with your grandpa But when it comes to work boots, the fact that a pair of boots is expensive or Good brand, it doesn’t mean they will be comfortable It really depends on each person’s feet 🦶 I have several pairs of nice and good boots but I only wear those on the weekends and I know they’ll last me for decades. I’ve tried -whites perry -thorogood -Danners -Wingshooter -Carolina -Rocky Ram -keen San Jose -Red Wing Some of them are not necessarily expensive but the only ones that worked for me were the Keen San Jose It’s just that I wanted to try other brands, Cheers
For your work, you need protection from dropped knives and hammers, but not crushing protection. As long as they are comfortable, they're good. People don't need Nick's, Frank's, JK's boots for every job. They look decent. It will be interesting to see how they hold up. As a healthcare provider, I hope that you are taking all of your medication! If it's strep throat, you MUST take all of your antibiotics or risk fatal kidney damage. I hope you feel better soon!!
*These are perfect for your work and will help you a lot! They're amazing looking shoes too with Vibrams! They do look very comfortable! Thanks for a great video!! I hope you feel better soon! Your health is more important, so it's completely you took a break 😊*
If anything, these boots are mostly for style and comfort. Personally, I wouldn’t wear it for hard labor like construction or landscaping. Other than that, they’re a good value for affordable boots. Nice review!
Cheap you say?? Walked into Wal-Mart yesterday and at the entrance was a steel rack with a few dozen pairs of Tan & Black Herman Survivor Moc Toe boots. Each box looked like it just came off the line, each pair wrapped in paper with all the tags. $15.00 each. Bought 5 pairs....4 Tan, 1 Black. 80 bucks out the door. Junk, but I've got yard work boots for the next 5-7 years.....
I bought a pair of the “Norwood” AP611 moc toes with a leather welt. Great leather. Well made. I had one complaint. The foam insert and synthetic footbed would make my feet sweat indoors. They are great outdoor in the cold to a degree, but they are not insulated.
I just think that if you want a pair of boots that have a foam insert in them you should get whites Perry or Whites Perry select. But that's just my opinion...
Trust me I’ve tried those too I don’t want them to have foam inserts but poron foam That’s added/glued on to the foot bed when the footwear is being made, thorogood are like that but they just don’t fit me good. Cheers
If you want a really good work boot, then I strongly recommend a PNW boot like Nicks or Whites. These are the only two brands that I would recommend. [Order the same size you would in Red Wing moc toe] Franks and Drew have poor customer service after the sale. JK boots have had a history of poorly fitting boots, which I think they may have corrected. I have a pair of Whites “Springdale” boots and I love them. They are a high quality wedge sole with a leather insole and midsole. The tongue leather is the same work leather as the upper and is gusseted through the first 4 of 8 eyelets. I do not use their insert. I use a leather slip sole in all my boots. I recommend adding a pair of false tongues! The Nicks moe toe boots are the best in class. You can get your choice of Vibram soles: Wedge, V100, V430 and even the V700 if you are clever with a custom MTO boot. These boots will last you at least 5-10 years before the soles wear out.
Thanks for the info, but I can’t wear that type of boots Here at the shop, I need my boots to be soft right out the box. that’s what works for me(JMPE) Cheers!
@@AaronG2480 Clark! Of course, you know what is best for you! Most reviews of the PNW wedge soles say the boots are comfortable from day one. All I am saying is do not knock it until you try it. I suggested the “Springdale” because they have a wider toe box. You indicated this was an issue. They are easier to break in than Iron Rangers or Red Wing moc toes. Do what is best for you, my friend.
Me quedaste a deber la versión en español amigo Aaron 😢 de esa marca ya que yo tengo unas ojalá hagas un video en español de esa botas saludos desde mich.
I’ve had these boots before. They were narrow for being a wide, the insole and heel counter fall apart fairly quickly. Then after a few weeks, they developed a squeak in one of the boots.
I guess you got a defective pair, it can happen on any other brands, I’ve seen it on Whites perry, And one of my Danners bull run I’m taking about the squeaky noise (shank) But , As I said we can’t expect to much right ! $142 Cheers
I like them for light use, comfort right away, casual wear. I bought a pair of duradero for around that price point and I bet they are very similar. Mine are very comfortable and they offer a free resole! I don’t use mine for hard labor.
Que Chuladas! Seriously, not everyone is a slick hipster living off of mom’s stipend. This company is still in business because there is a market for those bad boys. $140 isn’t chump change
Buen día carnal. Those boots aren’t bad for the money.
Well I have a pair of different model (VAP 828 ) which have been put through on lotsa walking as I do deliveries. They're comfortable and the leathers held up well. Just one question for Aaron, mine has a vibram sole on it but not with leather welt instead a plastic ones. Can I resole the worn vibram soles?
