It was a nice reminder when you mentioned about asking ‘Why?’ As well as ‘How?’. I think Corey will do well as a mentor, when he first appeared on the channel, he seemed a bit uncomfortable but then when he did his EICR, he was a different person, full of confidence and enthusiasm and hopefully that’ll help Oscar gain confidence too.

Good call on equipping Oscar properly ! BTW , PPE wise , he needs a working at heights helmet like a Petzel . Regular hard hats are basically useless in a fall situation .

Hey Jordon What steps did you go through to filter through learner to the right one Oscar? Obviously interview? Trail? Etc any forms to use? Looking at/need hiring but not sure on how to filter through the them

When I was teaching folks I started a running narrative of what I was doing to help them understand why I was doing things that way.

What qualifications are required to become an apprentice ?. I would love to know as I’m turning 16 this month and still in school and plan to finish it. I would love to become an electrician one day through an apprenticeship.

@@jonathanstephens7804 unfortunately you can just end an apprentice and their apprenticeship and career, it happened to me, in 2003 my career was at an end and being under 18 i didnt have a leg to stand on legally

@@n4thb4dc0 The same goes for any career that you’ve been working in for less than 2 years. If you do an apprenticeship under a governing body like JTL then you are protected from things like that

here's a head start with the study questions Oscar: Q1) What is the minimum caresses-per-minute an appliance chould receieve during installation by an electrical artisan? Q2) What is the minimum allowable percentage of plant-based ingredients in an electrical artisans lunch? Q3) If a consumer unit is upgraded without pictures posted to instagram... can it be considered truly upgraded?

Well done Oscar, don't waste this opportunity to learn.. We have 2 apprentices starting Monday, lets hope they want to learn and not spend all day on their phones.. One little criticism Jordan, you're still too quiet, I know you are wearing masks, but yours is the only youtube video site where i have to turn up the volume, then quickly turn down when the adverts come in..

If he only knew what is waiting for him . Working in tight spaces were you relying on feel only. The nasty horrible loft insulation. God I could tell you some horror stories. The only thing he should be glad of his dad is not his boss and not in charge of 50 other sparkies . God I by it in the neck and kicked up the ass so many times, when I was an apprentice . It's a shame your not allowed to hit apprentices around the head anymore
