The same voice actor dubbed him in both Brazilian and English. He's called Wagner Moura and he was Pablo Escobar in Narcos. Also, if you know any Brazilian movie it's probably Elite Squad (Tropa de Elite). He's also the MC in that movie.
Besides the Eng version when Death hits ground with stickle he says "Fear" but in Persian Character says the entire sentence and even adds "Now Come Here", quite common thing adding words & phrases.
@@VarxenToll The harsh consonants like r, ch, and sch make it easy to make aggressive. Also probably some bias against a certain austrian guy has made German sound scary.
I’m French Canadian, something I find interesting is the word choice between English and French. They communicate different things. In English the word “Love” is used but in French the word used is « raffole » despite the fact that the French word that would translate directly would be « j’aime ». « Raffole » means to like something in a way that makes you crave it… but in a pleasurable way, something you can’t get enough of, something that is almost climactic. It means something different than love and if definitely gives the wolf a much more sinister, evil vibe in French. It’s something the English vocabulary can’t capture. I wonder if other bilingual speakers have noticed this in other languages? The slight nuance that adds a lot of depth to the character.
In Russian, the chosen word is somewhere between love, adore, and be crazy about something. Interesting how a language can change your perception of a character.
The French voice is actually wild. I felt like most of them weren't giving off the vibe of a large imposing... well essentially murderer whose only intent is to kill, but that guy sounded more like a wolf than a human

I was literally crying tears of joy when I saw Hungary lol they never mention us in anything Also, French nailed the voice, it sounds like a blood thirsty monster which goes amazingly to the role of death!
If I'm not mistaken, only in Persian language at 3:18 all cat's sighs and all wolf's sounds (including sniffing the air) were dubbed... Huge respect to their voice actors, it's too rare! Plus it's my favorite of all these versions, wolf is savage :) And Franch is my second favorite.
French and Brazilian Portuguese are my favorites. By the way, where can you go to watch movies with this many languages available? I’m a self-taught Russian student, and I have a very hard time finding any good content with it as an audio/subtitles option.
Absolutely agree. I'm Italian and Death's dubber Andrea Mete should just stick to dubbing handsome/young good guys if this is the best he can do when he dubs a villain (though he was decent when he dubbed Riddler in the new Batman film... but again, he wasn't really an imposing/spooky type, more vulnerable/manic and it fitting Paul Dano's appearance) I would've gotten Roberto Pedicini and asked him to do his Anton Chigurh voice, or Luca Ward or even someone like Pino Insegno, in the first "Ice Age" he made Diego sound pretty sinister when he's menacing, not to mention he dubbed Freaky Fred.

Ho trovato che tutte le altre lingue abbiano fatto una macchietta dell’originale, mentre noi siamo riusciti a dargli una bella caratterizzazione anche senza copiare l’inglese. Poi gustibus ovviamente 🫡

@@jacobniemann4756Wagner Moura is Brazilian so Portuguese is his primary language but I think he only voiced the English dub. But Death’s voice actor can speak English, Spanish and Portuguese.

Queria tanto que o Wagner tivesse dublado em português tbm :(. A dublagem br não ficou ruim, mas né... imagina o quão foda poderia ter sido ele dublando nas 2 versões.
Jestem ciekawa jak to brzmi dla osób które nie wiedzą słowo w słowo co on mówi. W sensie takim jak my słyszymy węgierski czy portugalski, gdzie liczy się sam wydźwięk słów, nie tyle ich znaczenie.
So I like Original(English), Franch(because it is absolutely sharp and animalistic), Hindi( because it just sounds right and so hoarse), Ukrainian( because it sounds sexy and maybe because I’m ukrainian) All other are good too but I liked those the most.
I can think of a couple of Italian VA that would have been perfect for the role, I don't know why they picked Andrea Mete. He's t very good VA but he makes Death sound young. I wish they called Luca Ward instead.
@@Dracogame they chose him because his voice sounded similar to the original one, which also sounds young. Despite what most italians think, Luca Ward wouldn't always be the perfect choice for any role😂

@@thevaltwo Their voices sound similar, but they are not the same. If the version you’ve seen really was the one from France, then it was a different voice.

Well, many are, Puss in Boots is Italian and death is an original character, though wolves are symbolic of death in several European cultures and around the world.
Correção: o que o Vagner Moura fez não é dublagem, ele foi a voz original ou seja a animação foi feita por cima das falas dele. Dublar é ter a animação pronta e adaptar para encaixar as falas com o movimento da boca. Resumindo só pq ele fez o personagem na voz original não existem garantias que a dublagem dele fosse boa pois ele não é um dublador.

Oq você disse não faz o menor ssntido, pq se fosse assim ninguém falaria "eu prefiro a dublagem original". O ato de dar sua voz para um personagem é dublagem não importa se vão fazer a animação por cima ou se é você o ator da cena.
