Very, very beautifully perfrormed by all. And on the vocals, I love that this was not cheery, as this is not a cheery song. Very smooth voice. Excellent background vocals during the chorus. This was exactly how you bring a timeless song into today, so bravo for the modernization. I could see this performance on the Billboard charts.
Great cover! Brian was right, he wasn't made for those times. His songs are pure genius, but so much more complex than songs by bands that The Beach Boys are typically compared with, like The Beatles and Bee Gees. Unfortunately his cousin Mike Love didn't get it, his father didn't get it, and the record company preferred the car/surf songs from the early sixties. To quote J.Swift: «When a true genius appears in the world, you may know him by this infallible sign, that the dunces are all in confederacy against him."
Wilson was a big fan of the creepy old horror-movie Theremin, which used an electrical current to produce eerie varied tones. It's a major part of "Good Vibrations".
