I think Heeseung was not the main vocal in this ranking because honestly Heeseung can be any position he wants because he's really talented in all aspects. In my opinion he is the All-rounder in this group.
Thank you for clarifying my thoughts. He's my center candidate and I thought that centers are not allowed to have two main positions so I just put him in the lead. I'm pinning your comment 'cause I think some people might misunderstand me TwT.
Same here...for me Geonu is an awesome vocalist but I dont think hes main vocalist material, if he trains more and all sure hes got the potential but now its between Heeseung and Jungwon...those two mehnnn....faves all day😍😍
Yeah I think Sunghoon's voice was underrated in this video, his voice is very angelic and soft, but I agree with the criticism too but if he could get more vocal training on technique and sing a little bit louder then he could make a great lead vocal
Personally, I would put Geonu in the main vocal, because he saved a lot of performances with his voice and he is great. In addition, there is no problem with high notes.
@@busayofash I say here that this is one of the advantages of Geonu and it is not the only Jimin's story goes on. BigHit thought he had an ugly voice, but with Geonu they don't think so
Heeseung with his versatile voice, Jungwon with his unique and stable vocal and Geonu hitting those high notes! What a trio! 😍 Also, really great video! I was looking for something like this! 😁
Hanbin's and Heesung's voices stand out to me the most because their tones (and pronunciation for hanbin) are different than the rest of the group. You should check out the I & credible studio version ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-_opdEOd7DTY.html . You can listen to the whole song and you would only recognize Hanbin's, Heesung's, and Jungwon's voice (I think the main reason why they all sound the same is because they may have used a little bit of autotune).
For me Main vocal : 1 of out 3 Heeseung : have a good control vocal, his voice color nice, his range enough Jungwoon : the most noticable vocal color in iland alongside with hanbin but stronger, more power and more stability Geonu : strong vocal, better range than other but his vocal color not as good as jungwoon heeseung and hanbin Lead vocal : Jaebeom : nice control, good breathing support Sunoo : he is better singing a bright song like he singing crown by txt, can exspress song well, great facial exspression other than lead vocal he can be face of the group Seon : i believe with 4 years trained his vocal quiet good, nice control Hanbin : he have really good vocal color rare in kpop, you know what ? He have much part in i&credible and into the iland cause his voice really good. Producers must be like his voice. Sub vocal : The rest
Wait what? Geonu's voice color is definitely a lot, far better than Hanbin. WTH. Their vocal teacher said Geonu's voice has a emotional, dramatic, sweet tone in it, the other said he has a strong high voice, Mnet said he has crazy singing skills, which they never said to others. Only Jungwon has a better tone than Geonu, that's it. The rest falls under Geonu's vocal prowess.
@@geonuvocals5032 its my opinion, if you have opinion just make ur opinion but not here, i said vocal color, not high notes, breathing support, power, nasallity, tessitura or else, and i know ur geonu fans right ? , i am not geonu jungwoon or hanbin fans, just casual fans who likes everyone, my bias is double j specially jake, so i just judge it objectively. You know, mostly in every group the one who got the main vocal is someone who have strongest vocal or unique vocal color. Example Strongest : wendy, yuju, chen, solji, jinho, kyuhyun, jonghyun etc Unique : rose, hui, baekhyun, sandeul, miyeon, seungkwan etc If its strongest in iland , it must be geonu heeseung jungwoon Unique vocal color : it must be heeseung jungwoon hanbin So the most contender beeing main vocal is heeseung ..
In my opinion Heeseung voice suit to be the main vocalist, his voice is kinda universal.. not sure what they voice coach call that 😀 it’s the same with Jungkook, his voice can blend easily to anyone. He has a stable control. As Bang PD and Zico says, his voice is the trend. And that’s one quality they need in main vocalist. Stable control and universal. You’ll be hooked once he sing, you could feel the emotion, they story he convey 👌
@@btshaters8707 there's a lot more than trendy voice that makes it natural for Jk to be the main vocal though. And I must say that Heesung indeed has everything he could demonstrate up to now.
I know ^Jimin is so underated but why?😕... *also I love Jaebeoms Vocal😢 BTW Heeseung our ACE is my Bias💜 They're not even debuted Officially but Heeseung get the Main Vocal Position based on I-land Tracks ^studio version☺ but still OT23 here😊 love them all
Hanbin's vocal is on another level, I love it, hanbin has a different tone that makes him stand out from the rest so every time he sings his voice is the one that stands out from the rest, in short hanbin can be a vocalist, rapper and dancer.
i think he already has a good voice and tone. however, he isn't the most stable, and he also doesn't have the best technique. but with training that can be changed.
If Hanbin is so fabulous - I wonder why he never really pulled through. As Rain said there is a reason why they were in ground - and not always because of lacking skills - but lacking confidense - believe in themselves - fighting for what they really want. Those words were so true - to be an idol you need to push yourself forward - push your limits. If you do not have that inner power - you will never reach your goal. When they get out in real life after the debut it will only get tougher.
GEONU, JUNGWON, HEESEUNG ARE THE VOCAL TRINITY! but i personally think Geonu and Jungwon should be the main vocalists while Heeseung perfectly fits for the center position. If these three don't debut together, i'll go to korea and protest infront of bighit's building👊
@g guk yeah i know. but there are other trainees that also stand out as vocalist like jungwon and geonu so i think it's better to divide the position equally. there's nothing wrong not being the main vocalist especially if you're already the center. just sayin'.
@@aryan_mahajan_ bts' case is different from i land. i land has 3 stand out vocalist. again, it's better to divide the positions (equally?- idk the right term but what i mean is it's better to give the main vocal position to other stand out trainee and give the center to other considering both positions can have decent amount of lines) hope you get it:)
I really like jungwon and geonu voice so much!! It's strong, powerfull and soft. Both of them should be debut soon❣ please keep streaming jungwon and geonu fancam and i wish geonu to next being part 2😍
If we'll go by Big Hit standard, Heeseung will likely be the Main Vocalist Jungkook, Taehyun (and HyuKa), and Heeseung are kinda similar vocal wise +Jk, Taehyun and Heeseung also looks similar in appearance 🤣 I'm personally into Yeonjun and Jungwon's vocals, it's very distinct (Disclaimer: TXT doesn't have official positions but you can kinda tell that Taehyun is filling the main vocal position)
I think Heeseung, geonu and Jungwon are the main vocalist material based onthe studio version that BH released Heeseung really got more lines there 🤣🤭 i was shocked when he was not included in ur main candidate for main vocalist LOL 🤣🤣🤣
Honestly heesung could be anything he wanted to but probably in charge of Center, the Ace of the group or even Leader? LMAO but in my head the main vocal probably still Geonu and lead vocal jungwon. Well just my opinion lmao
@@bitnaneun_byeol No he can be candidate in main vocal too. we all know his capability in singing and the way he control his voice and hit the high notes while doing choreography. Yes he can be the center and leader but he is also one of the strong candidate for main vocal.
@@mariaclaudineleal5519 Geuno can do the same thing, that's why I said it just in my imagination the main vocal could be Geonu but sure Heeseung could do anything. I just meant that when you forming a group he couldn't be labeled anything eventho he can do anything, but maybe like TXT since all the members are all rounder and heeseung was also part of it, so maybe just 'All Rounder' with more bit and pieces but let's just see how they labeled the debut members when the show ended cause we all know heeseung will surely gonna debut no matter what happened 👀
"His voice naturally imprints in every song that he performs." "If he ever debuts, Jungwon's voice will be one of the group's key attributes." Such powerful words! 😍👌
I'm really surprised when I first heard jungwon voice. His voice is so distinct and heavenly. You can immediately recognize him. Plus he is also a great dancer. He seriously need to debut. The future main vocal + lead dancer
Great Video! You were able to back up your picks with logical reasons. Here is my take on the top vocalists on I-land to further add to what you've already said as well as other additional notes for more insight lol. Main Vocal Picks- I agree with both of your picks. You are right about Geonu belting with his chest voice too much, but he can receive more training in part 2 if he makes it. His powerful voice will really be useful in the final group. As you said, Jungwon's voice will be a trademark to this group if he debuts(most probably will lol) and he already established himself as the one of the best if not the best vocalist in I-land. Stability, control, intonation, style, execution, technique(could be developed but anyways), he has it. You notice when he first sings the part, he actually doesn't get all the notes right, but he always perfects it for the live performance. I'll throw my 2 cents in here and say that Heeseung should also be a main vocal candidate. At the moment, he is unmatched in technique among all of them, and as you said, he is extremely versatile. Jungwon's voice may not suit all kinds of songs and Heeseung is needed to to balance this with his versatile voice and stable vocal control that can execute most genres. I think the vocal trinity of Heeseung, Jungwon and Geonu will make up one of the strongest group of vocalists in 4th generation K-pop. Lead Vocals- You make a really fair comment about Jaebeom. It's a real shame that he most likely didn't make it to the final 12 and his dancing skill will be the worst among the final 12 even if he makes it. It's a real pity. Daniel indeed uses a lot of his nasal voice, quite similar to Jungkook actually. If he can fix this, he will be able to stand as a solid Lead Vocalist. Sunoo just needs to improve in terms of technique, he has the voice that can match well with many songs. I noticed that his voice suited basically every song he performed, he just needs to work on stability and lessening the airiness of his voice(although it is already not very airy among the I-landers) I'll also give my opinion here about one of the members you didn't include on your list, namely Jake. His voice actually impressed me more than Sunoo's in the crown performance in the very beginning it's just that Sunoo did better in the facial expressions and stage presence which made him the top performer in that particular performance. But the best singing was by Jake. He has one of the most developed falsettos among all the candidates and has strong and stable vocals in his mixed and chest register. I think he could be a potential lead vocal with more training. Sub-vocals- Initially, I had Sunghoon in my list of potential lead vocalists for I-land, but after seeing what you have to say, I agree. He should be sub-vocalist at most if he can't learn to control his dynamics. He is usually very soft in most performances and executes the higher register notes much better than the lower register ones. He would be suitable if this group releases more slow, ballad type songs to sing the falsettos when he gets more training to reduce his airiness in his falsetto(it has good potential, but I think Jake's and Heeseung's falsettos are better) For the rest of sub-vocalists, I more or less agree. You had valid points about each contestants voice which backed up your reasons very well HOWEVER, I'll also throw my 2 cents in and say Jay may be able to become a sub-vocalist. From the get-go, we already know that Jay doesn't do high notes well. He can sound very shouty when straining his voice. So why am I recommending him? Majority of your picks above have good higher registers, but in terms of lower registers, not many of them are stable or reach that range very well, with the exception, of Jungwon, Heeseung, and Geonu(as we've seen so far at least). Jay's lower register is actually among the best among all I-landers. When we heard him sing "run for your heart run for your life ye" in into the I-land, he nailed it. Perfectly. Completely Stable. Great tone and vocal colour. He would really add something when the group is doing lower songs. Speaking of lower registers, Nicholas would also make a potential sub-vocalist. His vocal colour is especially unique and suitable for lower notes. He has greatly improved as a singer in I&credible. My final 2 cents for potential sub-vocalist would be Niki. Like the other 2 on the top, he does lower chest voice ranges really well and has greatly improved. I feel like his voice is also somewhat unique, maybe if he trained even more, we can see his real potential in singing. I think there is some hidden potential in him that we haven't really seen. Anyways, thanks for the video! You are the first person to do something like this and this is exactly what I've been looking for! Many thanks :D
Thanks a lot for sharing your insights! Yours are actually more precise and you seem to have pretty good ears. Also, about Heeseung, not being included in my main vocal picks; I actually hesitated as to what position I should put him. I was afraid 'cause I thought I was just being biased and I had no enough solid and valid reasons to stand up for him. But now that you've addressed it, I'm definitely putting him back! - I'm not really that confident about my reasonings since I'm no professional and I thought I was just blabbering, so thanks for the compliment. And thank you so much for bringing up the points and trainees that I missed and for coming up to me in such a nice way. :>
@Silyan el Kattabi I suppose I just preferred Jake's tone I suppose xD but Sunoo did great in singing as well, it's just what stood out for me more was his stage presence. But I rewatched the crown performance again and I see what you mean!
This comment is so satisfying to read. I love that "Heeseung Jungwon Geonu trinity" i'm really looking forward to that in the future 🧡. Also, yes, during that crown unit performance, aside from his visuals, i was impressed by Jake's vocals tbh.
For me, Jake got 3rd in Crown' performance. His voice didn't harmonize with the song or his friends' voices at all and seemed like he was talk-singing.
Heeseung - trendiest voice, widest vocal range, most versatile vocal Geonu - strongest and finest vocal Jungwon - most unique vocal, softest But the strongest candidate for main vocalist is heeseung. his vocals is no joke. he has the ability to shift notes flawlessly and has the versatile vocal technique which is evident in their butterfly performance. plus his cover of im so tired, how he nailed the high notes in his boss performance. It shows how versatile his vocal is. And i have to mention his adlibs in into the iland and i&credible both studio versions. That’s so insane! And the fact that he has the most lines means PDs recognize him as one of best vocalist in the group. Edit: Plus heeseung’s vocals in Fake Love. ♥️ But Geonu was eliminated. 🥺
Thank you for including Jungwon's vocals in "All I Wanna Do" coz for sure that would also help gain a lot of fans for Jungwon. Honestly, it made me curious of his vocals when Bang said *"If you have a chance to listen to his voice, pay attention. His vocals are very charming.",* that's why I try to focus on his voice and I fell in love with it and even until now I still watch that entrance song test and listen to his voice. Jungwon's voice is very attractive, it's like *"I'm gonna steal your heart using my voice effortlessly"* . It's hella attractive considering the meaning of the song, it just clashes. His voice and the meaning of the song "All I Wanna Do" just perfectly fits. I believe every song he performs he'll make a new variation out of it, whatever genre he's given. *He gave the song a "variation" or a new "taste" because he simply doesn't copy the tone of the original singer as if he owns it like you said that he has his "own identity"* . Also, I can't imagine other trainees could pull off the Part 3 of "Into the I-land" song like how Jungwon did coz that part is really made for him and ONLY HIM.
*Geonu really is a promising powerhouse vocalist. I can see his voice going in a Baekhyun or Seungkwan level in the future, if nurtured more. His voice is full, not in anywhere nasal, and his chest dominant mix is very promising. I can sense he has a really really wide range hidden there and if he learned to enter the healthy balanced mix, he'll be unstoppable. Oh good grace, I can't even imagine.* *He will be a competent vocal representative of the team, and his addition to the group will make the I-LAND debut group more vocally prominent and powerful.*
Honestly I'm a Sunoo stan but Jungwon's voice is so satisfying especially when he sings the "I'm scared" part, eargasm! Taeyong's voice is really good too and it left an impression to me, like what you said he really knows his voice. Jaebom is really talented, he's not given a chance to show what he got because he believes that he's not an amazing dancer like the others, bighit seems to really focus on dancing and choreographies even on songs like Save Me. Of course my Sunoo, it's really obvious he was nervous during the vocal battle, he seems so worried about his voice but he overcame it at the near end and was singing comfortably then...
I like Sunoo too - but the thing is that these 23 trainees are all the best of the best they could find - so the competition is tough. They are all so good still some are Better than others. And now they are getting cut down to 12. As it looks and sounds like they wont stop there. How many they cut down to - we dont know. The further down they cut the less room there will be for someone like Sunoo (and so many other great trainees) - I would like to see him in the final group - but the smaller the group gets the smaller the chance.
K and Sunghoon have the potential to be lead vocalists imo. Im sure they'll shine in some performances in pt.2. My top vocals ranking are: 1. Geonu 2. Heesung/Jungwon 3. Sunghoon 4. K 5. Sunoo
@@jm2elica789 yeah, too bad he couldn't really showcase it. His voice is so unique and i think he's the only one with that kind of voice. I really love his part in "fire" eventhough it was so short
Jungwon probably has my favorite voice among all of them. Plus he is so stable. A+ in both singing and dancing. When it comes to vocal I also really like sunoo 's voice. It sounds very pleasant to ears I see sunghoon, sunoo and Daniel as an all rounder. They are a delight to watch on stage. With time they will definitely improve. Hoping for their debut
Actually if ever jimin would be lucky to join the iland he can be the lead vocal 😭 your right he really nailed the 4th test thats why i noticed him and i dont know his voice is so good
Personally, I think Heesung and Geonu will be the main vocalists of the debut group while Jungwon, Sunoo, and Sunghoon will be the potential lead vocalists of the debut group
When I saw Taeyong, Jimin and Jaebeom included here too, I was fully convinced this is legit. They're so underrated but I love their voices so much. I'm still recovering from Jimin's parts in I&credible. Btw, inarguably, Jungwon, our baby, will be an asset to the group if he debuts because his voice itself is a diamond.
Thanks for your interest in Hanbin. He has some elements to progress at round 2: dance, voice, visual, character pleasant and sociable, improved day by day. Please care about him more and more and support of him in the future. Love you.❤❤❤
I personally think the main vocalists should definitely be Heeseung. Geuno and Jungwon, they definitely have the most powerful vocal voices I’ve heard and one of the best.
Daniel can be a Lead Vocalist with more work i think, i like his voice he has a strange sexy voice !! I love Jungwon and Sunoo voice too especially Jungwon voice
But, for me, Daniel's unwanted raspiness present in his voice adds flavor, and if I didn't knew that he's sick, I would definitely think that his voice is just like that💗 very appealing and sexy 🔥
Yeah, like people don’t like the unclearness to Chaeyeon from Izones voice, but even though it’s typically undesirable, like Daniel, I love it so much!
@@susannekrog1069 yes Daniel's voice was not in conditioned during the performance of save me. Daniel said that his voice wasn't well bec it got cracks due to their performance of fire. But despite being sick, he and Sunoo still rock the stage🔥💜
@@winterbear6595 Oh I see - then he really did well despite his illness. I was more thinking of their last performance I&credible where K was not doing so well. I thought for a moment you had mixed them Up. But I see now that you were referring to another performance. Yeah I think it can be tough on them with constant tests and little time to train - on top of that they are nervous and they want to do their very best. All of these factors can get them down - so I hope they enjoy their little break while we miss them.
After watching I-Land (finished 20 min ago) I think K and Heesung are the two most well rounded and proficient on the show- I still don’t understand how K didn’t make it
Heeseung is a main vocal.. I really like his voice so much.. the way he sing boss in ep 1 it catch my attention even the producers praise him for that.. I more thing in butterfly, rain also praise him for it.. so maybe many will agree to me that heeseung is a main vocal of the group
Geonu’s vocal is rly powerful and his high notes are no joke. That’s why Rain pd said he’s needed in the team. Also when the vocal teacher complimented him, she said that he hasn’t shown us anything yet, nd she believes in him. ‘main position in i-land: HIGH NOTE MASTER’ that’s what they described him. So I think if he gets more training he’ll definitely improve more. But hope he makes it to part2..
Mnet also said he has crazy singing skills, spoonful of soul. Ugh and that Main Position really got me. That's basically saying hey this is the Main Vocal 😂
finally someone who recognize jaebeom talent, his voice is one of the most beautiful and different from all the trainees. Jaebeom, jungwon and geonu voices are my favorites.
Personally I think Geonu is really the best contender for main vocal tho still needs some improvement. Jungwon is good too but he still lacks the power that I'm searching for a main vocal same goes to Heeseung (but personally I think Heeseung is more versatile than Jungwon). I think Seon should also be rank higher because he has clean and not exaggerated voice. Can be a potential lead vocalist in the future.
I hoped for Hanbin, k, and Daniel, I hope that in the near future they will become a kpop group together. They are wonderful cheers for everyone who arrived at the end
Heeseung, Jungwon and Geonu are my picks for Main Vocalists. Geonu's vocals is very powerful. Listening to him reminds me of Jaehwan. (Again, "reminds." He hasn't shown his full potential yet) Jungwon is very distinct. And Heeseung is very versatile. EDITED.
Geonu is indeed the most powerful voice in I-LAND but he's nowhere near Jaehwan, Jaehwan's like one of the best main vocalist in the entirety of kpop right now.
@@silverdiangelo8117 "He reminds", not that op means he is already on Jaehwan's level. Ofc Geonu has yet to show what he has there, and Jaehwan is basically singing all his life 😂, won many singing competitions, already reached his full potential. With more honing, Geonu can practically reach that kind of level, he has the voice, the tone, the power and the range. A promising 4th gen vocalist.
With the current I-Landers, this is what I think MAIN VOCALISTS Heeseung(obviously, hsuper strong and very versatile) Jungwon(I love his tone it's unique an not too nasally) Sunghoon(I have grown to love his vocals and he has a strong voice) LEAD VOCALISTS K(in Part 1 his vocals weren't the best but he has improved greatly and his voice is way more stable) Sunoo(bright, strong, sweet vocals) Jake(not the strongest, but not the weakest either) Daniel(unfortunately has not been showing his best, but I think he has a really nice voice, especially at his age) SUB-VOCALISTS Jay(seems like more of a rapper than a singer) Niki(his voice isn't that stable)
