The amount of toughness damage is actually getting added in 2.3 on all characters moves and above enemies healthbars

I thank the star rail devs for creating DoTs and Super Break. Now I dont have to suffer from crit rolls anymore

They say superbreak damage increase from HMC only affects HMC's ult given superbreak. But who knows.

If I do get it correctly, superbreak in breaking-attacks works in a way that, if the attack has multihit attacks (e.g. Topaz's Numby), then the superbreak starts to count the toughness reduction after the hit that broke the shield, also nullifying all the toughness reduced from the previous hits including the one that broke the shield. So for Sam's Enhanced skill, which is a multi-hit attack, should be prefered to minimize the enemies toughness as much as possible before Firefly breaking the bar in order to maximize both break and super break damage, given that the last hit of her skill has the highest toughness reduction value.

Agree with most of this but the HMC Super Break DMG Bonus specifically says that it boost Super Break Dmg dealt by Backup Dancer which means that FF Super Break is not boosted by HMC.

Are you sure that HMC's A4 affects firefly's own super break damage? cause in the trace description it says it only buffs the super break damage triggered by the backup dancer effect (which is the name of the buff provided by HMC's ultimate)

Smack are you gonna talk about Firefly and Himeko amazing syzygy in pure fiction. Since Firefly applies fire weakness both of them can break and make the way through the content. The team would go like this Firefly, Himeko, Ruan Mei and Harmony tb. Please make a video on this. Also in my opinion Jade has no pull value if Firefly with Himeko can do so well in Pure Fiction😃.

The fact that Harmony MC is even a thing blows my mind. Star Rail went and gave is a support that can turn any character into a dps. Its funny watching Gallagher hit for like 60k damage. Super break was an amazing addition to the game

very easy to understand, this helped a ton. I don't know if you said it wrong but did the math right, but you said, that HMC A4 adds on to firefly's build in super break, but it does not. It only applies to super break triggered by the back up dancer effect.

I didnt even know super break was a thing, only recently met firefly in story as sampoo came out of nowhere to my surprise. I dont like Ruan Mei in anyway so I doubt I'll ever get her boosts unless I get I get her free from an event haha. I do have a bronya so I'll have her as a replacement for ruan mei if I get firefly, saw a pic somewhere of Sam and didnt know Sam was firefly till yesterday so spoiled myself I guess? I want a mecha suit unit and outright dont care for the little girl haha

Super Break is the best addition to the core gameplay thus far imo. It works on every character with a free support and anyone can clear MoC 12 now, even with free characters. It’s to the point now where if you can’t clear MoC 12, you’re bad at the game. That’s how it should be imo, especially with the different game modes now.

Ive got acheron/kafka/bs/aventurine s5 for one team and ruan mei/hmc/Gallagher and soon to be firefly for the other. That ought to cover omni weakness/brute force until Jiaoqiu comes out for e2 acheron shenanigans.

a little bugged about how the new update shows a different metric then the one the community made (basically 10 toughness equalling our perceived 30) cause it's going to confuse new players discussing the game with old players and vise versa

I would also love a character builder where you can see exactly what would be the BEST possible equipment you can put on your character.

10:45 The reason Bronya works well specifically with Boothill (and arguably better than HMC) in a break DPS comp is because Boothill has a ramping damage problem. In order for Boothill to really start dealing damage he needs to first stack his pocket trickshots (usually by farming trash mobs) and then break the beefier targets. The problem is that the only way to speed this process up is to either buff his weakness break efficiency or grant him more actions, of which HMC unfortunately does neither. Bronya basically doubles his actions which can allow him to easily farm the trash mobs and break 2 elites in a zero cycle. Additionally, Boothill has significant break detonation (which keeps the properties of physical weakness break) in his kit that makes him much less reliant on HMC for damage than other break DPS characters.
