Super cute and tasty idea! But a note: use UNSHELLED pistachios. Opening those things can be little buggers, and are very frustrating and time consuming to crack open!
@@brandywineblogger1411that's a first world problem for people that spend their income gluing plastic to their body. The rest of us have natural nails that bust these treats open no problem
Love this! Very classy. A little extra work but it keeps people's fingers out of the common bowl. BTW- I agree about getting shelled pistachios. They're often difficult to open.
I like to have a savory appetizer which is easy to eat. I would use nuts with no shell and skip the cookie. Save the sweet for dessert. Otherwise very appetizing and beautiful!
Not too keen on mixing desert items with the Charcuterie BUT The whole idea is AWESOME, since anyone can purchase a dozen plastic champagne cups anywhere. Thank you for sharing.
I *hate* serving on plastic or paper! A set of small dishes (footed or not) is easy to find at a thrift store for not much more than plastic, can be used again and again, won’t be prone to tipping over like lightweight plastic, and won’t end up in a landfill after one use. Same with utensils. A collection of thrifted flatware (mismatched is fine) can be used for picnics, camping, and outdoor events, saving you from losing pieces of your good set and being cheaper (in the long run) and sustainable than plastic.
@@altitudeiseverything3163 100% correct! I also cringe when I see a family eating off paper plates 😱 That being said, having lived in a home with a pool, I've had to adjust to the use of plastics (the type that can be cleaned in a dishwasher without the heat element). Yet, I must admit that, since my Formal dinner service is made-up of different patterns, I could have followed through with my outdoor service. (Though I am particularly pleased with my Bamboo theme in sustainable & shatter-proof materials).🤩
@@danieldumas7361 I can see how breakable dishes would be a hazard around a pool. For outdoor use, we bought a set of plain white Corelle plates because they’re so break-resistant. That was more than 25 years ago and not one has broken! But I do love your idea of using bamboo items: gorgeous, more sustainable (and sturdier) than paper, and also lightweight. I need to get a few bamboo plates before our next camping trip!
I would try dried medjool dates and maybe some apricot for a bit more color. Also a tip if you find raspberries too tart, if you stick the blueberry in the raspberry and eat them like that the flavors play off each other amazingly! Go ahead and add some mint with the rosemary too, that combination works well together!
Super cute!!!! Anyone getting these at a party would be thrilled to see and try these. Would be a great conversation starter and a fun treat as they unveil each layer
I love the olives, just not on top of the blueberries, and under the cookies! I'd be tempted to stick to either sweet or savory, and not mix them together.
This is so very cute and so easy to make substitutions if need and still get a beautiful effect. Probably the only think I would do different is to not put the macarons in the arrangement, even though it made it look cute (maybe taking some icing and "glue" it to the foot of the champagne glass?). All I could think of was that macaron sucking up that olive juice. Thanks for sharing your very pretty & creative idea!
All that yummy cheese but only 1 cracker? Thank you very much for the salami rose idea. Id be afraid the cookie would taste like olives with being so close. Such a cute party snack cup to soak up the cockatails. 🎉😊
We had something very similar served in mason jars at a funeral post pandemic, so that they didn’t have platters of food and people sharing them! Great idea!
Those are beautiful! I love the pistachios with the shells on them. Great to keep you occupied if you get into an awkward conversation with someone at a party! 😉
I love how those turned out... I definitely will be making those salami roses for my board this year... I am pretty sure I will have to make up some little "cups" of something as well...
That looks very pretty I want to try this, this will go perfect with our sister’s night, thank you for sharing this with us ❤from Diana Vasquez 👋🏽👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Ok, such a cute idea. That’s exactly what it is an idea. Do it your way. Thank you I’ll do these for our ladies events. Love your sharing I’ve subscribed 😊.
Looks great - I'd switch a few things though. I really liked the salami rose haha.... but my favorite thing was honestly the support her husband was giving her and how excited he was. Lol so sweet ☺️
Pistachios shell on, blueberries right out of the box without washing, salami slices right on the counter, and then you fold them with the hand that’s been touching packages and everything . Uh.. no thanks
I am french. You would never, ever, mix macaroons in an aperitif cup, particularly with charcuterie ! What a fault of taste…. (And so bad American food) And no berries, but rather dried fruits (apricots, dattes, figs) walnuts, grapes…and stuffed olives (with almonds or cheese). I would also add some veggies sticks, or mini tomato/mozza brochettes with basil….Then, you can prepare the same cup for dessert with your macaroons and berries…macaroons have a very delicate taste that you cannot marry with everything
Unshelled pistachios makes more sense because everything else is grab and eat. Also those Macarons (different pronunciation) from Macaroons (her pronunciation) and a completely different thing
So you put oily olives and greasy salami on top of nuts that must be shelled before eating? Sounds like a mess of slippery fingers to me. Presentation is one thing but guest comfort is more important. I can imagine the nuts slipping out of their fingers and landing on their clothing causing oil stains.
I would skip the rosemary and add basil leaves. And then add some cherry or grape tomatoes. Love how you can change this up to fit your own tastes. Rather big for an appetizer, though.
Love the idea...surprised you were not wearing gloves... What about putting parsley or cilantro or basil (or something) on either end of the salami toothpick for rose leaves? I agree about shelled pistachios. Could also use walnuts...
Love this!! Going to prepare for my airbnb guests!! I need to add a piece of french stick!! Lol i love bread n cheese with olives Are these plastic champagne glasses? Where did u get them? How many ounces? Love it
15 cheeses and 1 crackerd. It's super cute, but I would've worn gloves if I'm feeding folks outside my home. Don't care if her hands were washed or not.
I like pistachios, don't care if not shell is still on if im just munching on pistachios. However, not mixed with other items that can be eaten directly. In that case preferred unshelled.
Cute, but I would omit the blueberries and raspberries on the bottom, and add some red grapes on top opposite the olive side- and no macaroon on top of the olives!
