Hello! I am Cathy. I have bipolar type schizoaffective disorder, agoraphobia, panic disorder, and generalized anxiety disorder. I was struggling last week. So I had an appointment with my psychiatrist to discuss my mental illness. I was having a horrible couple of days. Why didn't I tell her about my symptoms and panic attacks? Allow me to explain!
We're on a mission! We are David and Cathy. Both of us live our daily lives with mental illnesses. Despite our mental illnesses, it is possible to lead a semi-normal life and have a great, loving relationship. We want to show the world that it's possible to function with a mental illness. We want to debunk all those common myths and stigmas! While the world of psychiatry has come a long way in the last 30 years, there is still so much to learn and do! We also want to reach out to people like us and give them some hope that they can be okay. They are not alone in their battles. We want to at least be able to say we tried.
