I Light Singapore is Asia's premier sustainable light art festival, first held in 2010. It showcases energy-efficient light installations created by local and international artists, aiming to inspire eco-friendly habits among attendees. The festival includes various activities, enhancing public spaces in Singapore’s city center.
For its 10th edition in 2024, the festival runs from May 31 to June 23, featuring 17 artworks by 25 artists, under the theme "Cyclical Nature." This theme explores sustainability, focusing on redesign, restoration, and repurposing of everyday objects to emphasize the circular economy.
The festival will expand beyond Marina Bay to include locations like South Beach, Millenia Walk, and Tanjong Pagar. Notable installations include "Spin Me a Yarn" by Studio Vertigo, which critiques modern unsustainable practices, and "Kinetic Perspective" by Juan Fuentes Studio, an abstract piece using upcycled materials.
