Everyone talks about his superior angles skills and im here adoring that he doesnt waste vinyl planks and cuts scraps untill they dont fit anywhere. Thats some extra material managin skill
My man must’ve aced geometry! He’s a master of angles. Watched that entire video in awe of how he made every piece fit like a puzzle. Very satisfying to watch knowing I’ll never lay a floor down like this…
@@JohnDoe-vm1rr it's still consider big deal dude you know it yourself and that work still need bit of effort if you didn't have any experience or you have you don't have to be overestimate your experience or look down on others work , because they gained it and work hard for it.
😂😂😂 When I read your comment, I nearly fell out of my chair laughing. I think maybe this video had me mesmerized. Pretty sure I didn’t know I was here. Really sure I don’t know how I got here. Thanks. A good belly laugh is needed occasionally. 😂😂😂
I agree...100%Master of side cuts. We hired a so called tile layer for our house. We had to fire him & he left with our$. Tiles on the floor toes busted, edges look a mess in one bedroom & kitchen.
If this whole flooring gig doesn't work out for him, he could be a geometry professor. This is a master class on angles and craftsmanship! 10 out of 10. The best there I've seen. Mad skillZ!
Would take me days to do the corners alone. Guy just does it automagically. Granted the video might be sped up but still I would have to think about each corner plank each time. Guys a true expert.
The critical part is getting your center and guide lines laid out before adhesive goes down. You can see his pencil lines at the start. Pause the video right when he lays the first strip down. You can see the center line and crossing angle for the first strips. Once those are correctly placed, he's off to the races. Without a proper layout, the job would be crooked and look terrible. Meticulous preparation is key and he did it. Excellent work.
Don’t forget the surface prep. A dusty or uneven surface would ruin the job. At least half the work/ time of this project is not laying the pieces. It’s scrubbing the surface, leveling compounds and meticulous vacuum and sponging down surface. All this was done perfectly. Shame they didn’t show it here. (Maybe it was another team or contractor)
While he does exceptional work, the cutting of angles are much easier than most think. The utilization of every piece of material is the impressive part to me and I have been doing commercial glue down for 20+ years! I would hire this guy on the spot!
@@chrisf.9350 This guy has been doing this for a long time and you understand exactly what's going on if you slow the video down by by tapping on the 3 dots in the upper corner corner you'll really be able to study exactly what it is hes doing. Look forward to hear from you by for now Ken
@Joe Andersen still a bad testimony. Now I'm co vinced your a bot though. Thanks, now I can report your account and not just your garbage span posts. I'm just not sure to what end you're spamming everyone.
Video was speeded up but not by much. He'd be done while I was still looking for the carpet knife for sure. Amazing. May use this technique for my bathroom floor
He surely took the necessary steps before he pre-cut some front angles and then he transfered those angles. I still amazed that he did it by a show of hands
That's beautiful! Thank you for sharing your talent. It looked like having to put a 1500 pc jigsaw puzzle together, but cutting the puzzle pieces as you go. Great job!
You know when someone is a good installer when they never use a measuring tape to make cuts. I love installing glue down lvp in a herringbone, it's lots of fun. I'm a commercial flooring installer myself. Good work, man.
Genuine question but whats wrong with using measuring tape? Im no expert at all but they way he cuts them only works in perfect paralel walled room no?
@@Spacidius nothing wrong with using a tape. It's just much faster and cleaner scribing it. He is just marking his long point on the board and cutting his angle. You can use this method on very out of square rooms and it works great. On your first cut piece, you can lay a temporary piece in place then overlap it with another piece horizontally tight against the wall then draw or cut your line. Then you have a pattern piece. Hard to explain without drawing a diagram or showing in person. There's probably a video that explains how to scribe lvp, I'll look it up and share a link with you if I find it.
