Oh, Adam, we all appreciate you documenting this ridiculous journey you are on. Just know we are rooting for you, and are keeping you and your family in our thoughts. There's a lot of love for you guys out here! ❤
Hi Adam, I'm a new subscriber to your main channel. My close childhood friend (she's from Shanghai) was diagnosed with autoimmune encephalitis in early 2019, right after she returned from the UK, and she said this condition is pretty common for doctors in China due to the country's huge population. Her doctors advised her not to take the covid vaccine as its implication on the immune system is still unclear. Also, she mentioned that the cost of IVIG is comparatively cheaper in Mainland China at around $100 USD per 2.5g. Though it might be difficult for Americans to travel to China right now, but you might want to look into places like Hong Kong, Macau, or even Taiwan, as they may offer cheaper IVIG treatments. God bless.
Losing a testicle and shit from cancer is something I don't worry about but having people send me get well soon cards and them knowing like bro I want to keep that shit private
Sending a small token of support to thank you for being such an awesome you..an inspiration and helper to so many others. Your openness about your diagnosis and cancer treatment truly helps break the taboo about cancer and its effects. I have just gone through prostate cancer radiation therapy and chemical castration and the nasty effects, but outlook is positive outlook. You are a hero for bringing cancer out of shameful fear and darkness into public light that creates awareness and action. Sending love and encouragement to both you and Eric from Canada.
I'm with you my friend. When I got sick back in 2021, I had to lose my colon. I completely feel you in all this. You'll be okay my friend! P.S. My surgery was very close to where you're occurred. During my recovery, I called it a C-Section as a joke.
Hang in there 😟 - after this is behind you, the brain issue spiced with a little testicular cancer, everything for the rest of your life will probably seem easy 😅 - I hope it does, anyway, you deserve something for putting up with all this. I continue to hope for your rapid recovery.
Hope you'll recover fully, my prayers are with you. A lot of doctors/reports/studies say cancer is caused by lifestyle, when its convenient, would you mind sharing your eating/sleeping/exercise/drinks/diet in past few years and time when you started seeing symptoms - only if you don't mind sharing about it? No rush, rest more and more, spend time with loved ones, go out, see the world - its beautiful, above all - stay positive/strong.
Been a few months since you posted anything. Just checking to see how you're doing, if things are improving. I hope you know you still have a lot of people still rooting for you!
I'm relieved every time you put out a new video at least I know you guys are still alive testical or no testical. Unfortunately I've been going through something similar with my brain melting too and doctor after Dr visit I'm nowhere further than I was a year ago. I'm starting to think I might have MS. this is the very least autonomic dysfunction. And it f****** sucks
Sorry to hear that I had a similar operation a few years ago Take the recovery seriously, 6 weeks in you will be tempted to tell yourself you are just being weak but thats not true
I commend you and your brother for being brave and sharing your health journey with us all. I sincerely hope you find the answers and help you need, so you both can live fulfilling lives.🙏🏻 I was a long time migraine sufferer and thought I was having the worst migraine of my life one day about 8 years ago. I went to the emergency room, they treated me for a migraine and sent me home. I slept for two days and was losing the feeling on the left side of my body so I went back to the emergency room. They did an MRI and found I’d had a pontine hemorrhage (stroke). I was life flighted up to OHSU. They ran numerous test and I received excellent care from them. I still remember one of the neurologists telling me, at a follow up appointment, that it was nothing short of a miracle to be sitting across from him and doing as well as I was because of the type of stroke I had and the prognosis. Have you reached out to OHSU (Oregon Health & Science University) in Portland, Oregon? If so, did you ever receive a response?
The odds of both of these rare diseases to the same person simultaneously... You kind of won the lottery, backwards. Surely something equally as rare but great is in your future.
Adam, I hope you know that Testicular teratomas are one of several tumors that have been associated with anti-N-methyl-D-aspartate receptor (anti-NMDA) encephalitis, an autoimmune disorder that can cause severe neurological symptoms in men. I emailed you with more info
Glad you're finally getting good care! So at least some prayers were answered so far! Please ensure your brother gets his nuts scanned with an ultrasound. According to Harvard, when a identical twin gets cancer, then the other twin has a 46% chance of also getting it.
Health update on my main channel. Both on rituximab, some benefit although substantial benefit can take 6mo to a year. Hoping it continues to help. Thanks for checking in ❤️
There's a free Neuroimmune Consultation Panel through Neuroimmune Foundation, with the next one coming up on June 13. Your doctor(s) can request the panel review and consult on specific cases.
Article description: A catatonic woman awakened after 20 years. Her story may change psychiatry. New research suggests that a subset of patients with psychiatric conditions such as schizophrenia may actually have autoimmune disease that attacks the brain
My twin had a lump that turned out to be nothing significant but I figured I should get checked. Ultrasound found the tumor, biopsy described it as a sertoli tumor.
Crazy shiznit! You and ur brother gonna force some neuro books to update. I wonder if immune-mediated encephalitis was a paraneoplastic syndrome…but that doesn’t explain ur brother. Ur brother needs to check his balls daily and take 2 snickerdoodles each morning. Get well brother.
Have you guys looked into Common Variable Immunodeficiency? I have a friend who had encephalitis when he was about your age and it took the docs forever to figure out that he has cvid.
Why don't you get over to India and get treatment there. Probably cost 10% of the US price and be just as good...Some of the best Doctors and surgeons in the world come from India. Seems like a no brainer to me.
