This did happen to me about two years ago when I was first moving to Spain to teach English. I packed two brand new suitcases with pretty much my whole wardrobe besides my Minnesota winter clothes. Both bags were stolen off the baggage claim belt in Madrid within 10 minutes of my arrival. I lost years of collected vintage pieces, things passed down from my grandmother, and my childhood quilt. All I was left with was a couple pieces in my carry on bag. Every once and a while I am reminded of a piece that I lost, it was devastating. I just hope whoever stole them was my size!

This literally just happened to me ): I moved to seattle a week ago and someone stole our uhaul and the police found it abandoned and wiped clean of everything my partner and I owned. I'm currently trying to rebuild what I can but the years of collecting and vintage clothes I curated being gone rips my heart apart. I would immediately buy a couple oversized graphic t-shirts (I love the ones from urban), my frye banana campus boots, a couple pairs of thrifted mens' jeans, and like three of the free people easy street sweaters in various colors (the best sweaters on the planet). add in a couple dresses and maybe a pair of sneakers and I'm set for YEARS

I loved loved loved this video because of your challenging me to think about what i would want to repurchase if i lost all of my things. This was shocking for me because i realized that there is very little that i actually have a specific connection with in my wardrobe. Now im rethinking everything wondering why i don't LOVE any of my clothing items to need them exactly again. I think i would want a pair of medium wash vintage Levis 501 jeans and my Steve madden rocky boots in black. I want to continue to think about what i truly love in my wardrobe now!

This happened to me In 2020 I lost all of my possessions not just clothing but furniture all my possessions. I had to start over with my wardrobe of course. And over the last 2 years I am really happy with the fabrics and items I have added. Getting things that will last the test of time! (And then I went and lost 20 pounds lol so I need to replace some pants/jeans and then I’m good to go again! ❤ Great video!

Interesting video concept! I think one of the first pieces I would rebuy is my Faconnable linen jacket that I bought many years ago. It’s a bit oversized, almost more of a car coat than a blazer. It’s that neutral sort of flax color, the linen is heavy and it’s lined so I can wear it Spring through fall. Of course it would be impossible to find now. But it’s such an indispensable piece in my wardrobe, it’s the first thing I thought of.

Honestly I would repurchase my black sambas too😅idk they’re really cool and comfortable to me.also my gentle monster sunglasses.

Madewell Button Front Wide Leg Crop blue Jeans, Uniqlo black T-shirt, Liberty of London ditsy button down shirt, black and white polka dot shirt (any brand will do), striped business shirt (any brand), fitted black velvet blazer (my current one is from Aussie brand Sportscraft), black teva sandals, Birkenstock Gizeh's in stone, an assortment of flower brooches for my blazer, a dark denim tote bag (my current one is Levi's but I'm always on the lookout for any brand as long as it's dark denim. That's it!

Couple of my staple items would be levi’s jeans (501 or rib cage straight), Nike air max 97 spesifically in a pearl pink colour way (love a chunkier sneaker) and a quality wool coat cause i live in colder climate. i have one from the brand comma and would totally repurchase even though that would be expensiveee.

My choices of the moment are Vans Slip On Checkerboards, old Lee Jeans made out of 100% cotton, 4 vintage leather jackets preferably in black, brown, white and dark blue, a pair of classic black shoes, tank tops and longsleeves in black, brown, dark blue and olive green and two white neckholder summer dresses

The men’s goodfellow brand at target makes a great cotton tshirt pack, I think it’s like $15 for four or something.

This might be unhealthy, but the thing that I would repurchase, legit no matter the cost, would be specific concert merch. I am OBSESSED with music and have been as long as I can remember and my style has a comfy/edgy touches to an otherwise thrifty "aesthetic," so band tees fit really well, but the ones of my favorite artists from shows that I've been too would gut me if I lost them somehow. Not only is it an "I love music and these are my favorite artists," thing but also I often go to concerts with friends and family so those garments don't just remind me of the artist and their show, but also time spent with loved ones. I do have an irreplaceable cardigan that was handed down to me from my great great grandma and one from my great grandma that if I lost those, I could never replace them and it would absolutely KILL me. Especially the one from my great great grandma.

I’ve always loved a low profile sneaker tooo… I had a pair of sambas years ago, and wore through the sole. And repurchased… my gotos are keds champion, onasuka tigers and converse. I too has such a hard time getting on the dad sneaker trend.

Theyre so comfortable I even made it my airport shoe once and it didn’t hurt my feet. I love them and use them almost everyday.
