I always knew cat and IIMs are waste of time 10 lpa from iim was wastage . In Canada truck drivers are earning 40-50 lpa . IIM graduates are earning 15-30 lakh that’s worse condition of india . I am leaving india now best decision

Speaking from personal experience, start-ups are always like this. Honestly, they don't care about your situation or the problems that you are facing. They just want best quality work at the cheapest rate possible, in fact if you work for free they will like it even more, unimaginable working hours. The recruiters tend to be rude and very prideful (I have faced this in an interview). My experience with 3 start-ups was horrendous.

I am currently preparing for CAT but an advice from someone who has worked as a recruiter for 2 years. If a recruiter from startup delays your joining a couple of times. Start looking for a new job! Often, it's the role of the recruiter to stall the candidates when their offers are not confirmed. It's a harsh reality but it's true. Recruiters are not to be blamed here since it's the management that asks them to do so.

It's their loss. They lost a talent. Although good companies offer competitive package but there is one bad downside to it that you are just an employee working under a dictator obeying their rules. It's good you are not part of this matrix. Life is full of opportunities ahead. All the best brother!

Don't worry bro. Last year I graduated from an IIM and just 7 months in the job, company decided to get rid of me, and they gave me 2 months notice period. I found another job in the mean time, with the help of my alumni, and with a little lesser pay to be honest, but its a whole lot better than my previous job. To be completely honest with everyone, an MBA graduate draws a huge salary at a young age, so when cost cutting is decided in corporate, we are in the most vulnerable situation, much more than a B Tech fresher because his cost doesn't impact the company's base line that much, and with both of them being very less experienced, its easy to guess who will take the blow first.

No faith on corporate job, best time to prepare for government job or involved in own business...

Don't worry it's hard time, best thing is that you are an IIM passout, which already gives you an edge from others, you will get another opportunity very shortly. This is happening not just with freshers but with experienced candidates where companies hire and fire in no time, just think about them who don't even have such strong academic background, how difficult it is for them to get any other opportunity in such situations.

In corporate, you can't trust, even your own brother working in the same company...VERY CRUCIAL LESSON....see, I am not a management guy myself, but an Engineer. And tbh, If a company delays my joining by even 2 months, I keep my job search going...I don't understand how you, a management guy from IIM did such a mistake!

I only see morally unscrupulous people getting ahead by getting away with all the wrong things that they do. I only see evil people winning in life. Especially in career and business, in the workplace, etc.

For God sake avoid joining the startups for a comparatively higher salary. Go for an established company where salary may be slightly low but job is secure and you can learn a lot of things.

My friend is waiting for infosys joining from past 1.5 years. Another from Capgemini is waiting for past 1 year. Job culture in India is very bad. Corporates have complete monopoly over employee regulations and gov is not ready to intervene.
