Started the day early and headed out to estate sales. I got very frustrated and lost my patience and turned lemons into lemonade by finding not one but two new thrift stores to me! I found so many awesome treasures for resale, come along on my thrifting adventure and see what I found!

I can't tell you how touched I was with the love in your voice when you spoke to your turtle, the little one trying to grab on to the lettuce. These beautiful turtles have got the biggest personalities I’ve ever seen in a turtle and it is because of the love they get from their mommy. 🐢❤ They are living their best lives for sure. My late mother loved her auroa borealis necklace and even suffered through wearing the clip on earrings; I grew up with the adage, "You have to suffer to be beautiful." THAT is MY opinion of clip on earrings!

Im in California, SF area, part of whats known as the East Bay. We have been in a horrible heat wave. On July 5th at 4:30 pm it was 122 on my back breezeway. It gets hot here until about 7 pm. It was 124 in Death Valley. We dont have central AC and the window units cant work hard enough to help. Its been 94/95 in the house. Fruit is rotting in the kitchen. We still have a few more days, cools a bit, thrn goes up again. I actually sat in the car for 2 hours with the engine running just to cool off. Its bad, really bad.

I would lose patience with the unpriced sale. Why would I waste time and energy running back and forth...What great prices at the Thrift Store!!

I can't imagine an estate sale without marked prices is going to be selling much. I suspect it's being run by inexperienced people, maybe family clearing out a home, or it could just be laziness... pricing is time consuming. I wouldn't have the patience either, plus, it encourages bargaining.

This was fun! I like the music added here and there throughout the video. The new thrift store has such a great cause, helping veterans, and really seems like a nice shop. I hope they have continued success. You found nice things at the sales and both thrift stores. I hope you are remembering to stay hydrated in that heat, and don't worry about the air-conditioner sound---it's not bad at all, and you need to stay cool. Have a great day! 💞💕💞

Well, just for a comparison......it's only 80 in League City TX right now at 7:35PM CT.....and we're just waiting the Hurricane Byrel to come ashore sometime tomorrow AM...After that, we'll go back to 95 w/humidity at 80%......The glass thing w/brownish lines and a plunger dohicky....is a French press for coffee.

We have a cat rescue group that runs a very nice thrift store Cat "Adopt a Cat" resale, near me, in S.FL. It's a very neat and clean with good merchandise, but I think their prices are a bit high. Once in a while they have a sale day with 50% off, except for some prices they call FIRM... Those are the best days to shop, obviously. I have started taking my donations there instead of to Goodwill.

It's just brutal all over the place. We're not too bad here in Md. w/high of 94 heat index 105. My brother & fam are sweltering in Central Fl w/111 and 144 heat index. I don't do well w:the heat. I've been inside most of the day...I need to do some yard work & gardening but I just can't bear the heat. Stay safe - Stay cool 😎

I love in central Florida too and have heard no reports of 144 heat index. 111 I can believe, but 144? That's hotter than the highest temperature ever recorded in the hottest place in the U.S. which is Death Valley.

Danni the amount of jewelry you will need to store needs open topped or clear topped trays.ask Dawn where to get the professional jewelry trays. You will really like them Sell the jewelry boxes. NEVER turn the air conditioning off in the car.😅 that crystal necklace may be better than you think. They are hard to find now so check before pricing. Austrian crystal??

Your vintage glass tray was likely Avon. I have that exact one in my bathroom that I purchased from our then local salesperson in the mid 80's. That glass jar with the platform and rod was probably a pickle jar that you lift to get a pickle out without getting your fingers in the juice. I watched one of Lady Mary Beth's videos just yesterday. She was in Germany and showed a vase with the bird on it surrounded by the cranberry colored glass by the same company. They are very beautiful pieces.

You really got some great goodies! Good prices too! I’ll bet it was fun to discover the new one and visit some you haven’t been to for awhile! That clear kind of crystal necklace and earring set I have one pretty close to it! I got it over 30 years ago. I took it to a jewelers and they said it was worth $150.00 and that was years ago! Still have it! Take care!❤❤❤ Thank you for your turtle tour! They get ice to keep them cool and big fresh lettece (I think)!

Hi Dani 👋 I think the second store you went to is one the helps kids, especially older kid's find school clothes at no charge. Backpack, shoes, personal items, toiletries, hair products etc. And they let them pick out the clothes because they know how important individuality is. I think I remember some other RU-vidrs.

I tried to send a comment to you on hitch lady shop because I screwed up up on an order ….however it kept saying follow the format…I am sorry not to be understanding. …but I have no idea what it wants….trying to order I lost the page …panic set in and it said I ordered asa,ad set for 350.00 no I did not…and could not find the cancel….so this was the only way I could think to get to you…sorry 77yrs doses are doesn’t computer very well …I probably will give all a laugh.💁🏼

Thank you for taking us on your thrift shop journeys. And you can donate to them your items besides going to Goodwill. In my state Iowa, Goodwill has gotten more expensive but, cheap items. So disappointing. It seems like they don’t even get to the shelves they either go to the bins or online.

I bought that necklace and earring set at a thrift store 30 years ago, it was priced $40.00 and then dropped to $20.00 but the jewelers said it was worth $150.00!😊

My Daughter were in Las Vegas last week with her Friends from High School, Girl's Week Out. I have never been to Las Vegas, being disabled, with having to use a Rollator walker, I wouldn't be able to Be Able to tolerate all that footwork. I was so tempted to ask my Daughter to visit those awesome GOOD WILL thrift Stores ya'll have there; but they would not have scheduled those within there busy itinerary this trip. The did go to all the candy stores, and of course, saw the " BOYS OF THUNDER " 🤣 they are supposedly from AUSTRALIA; however, one guy was from Mexico, she told me. The only time I got to Vegas, was while we had a layover at the airport, inside; returning from Illinois, in 2020 when we had attended My 91 year old Mother's funeral. She died from complications stemming from COVID 19. 😞😰

I think that blue butter dish was chipped along the lower edge of its base, unless my eyes have failed me again. I love cobalt blue, light blue, my Daughter loves the turquoise and bougie blue and grey hues.

thanks for starting out with the turtles. so cute to see them eat, especially the last one.. have you ever been bit by them accidently? I'm just curious on how a turtle bite would be? is it gummy or do they have sharp teeth? at 31:31 I had to take a double take and see if that glass dish was a Disney dish.. i don't know. they looked like mickey heads all around it, but then it had birds on the bottom? very cute! Danni 110!! I don't have to tell you be so careful and hydrate, but don't get too busy to hydrate!! Loved the new stores! great finds!

@ 26:29 I recently sold a similar Italian chicken pitcher but I think I only paid $3.00 for it. I like the independent thrift stores too but it’s surprising at the difference in prices from store to store. We have 2 in my smallish town. The larger one seems to look up items on eBay & prices some things at those prices. The other one, which is smaller, just wings it & prices are very reasonable.
