It is adapted from the novel Hou Gong Ru Yi Zhuan by Liu Lianzi and is a sequel to the critically acclaimed 2011 television drama “Empresses in the Palace.”

The young woman portraying Ruyi is a phenomenal actress. The whole cast is great. I don't even know how I came upon this series but I'm glad I did. So enthralling!

Umm, yeah, tell the Empress I'll see her when I get the time...as he's sitting on his arse doing NOTHING! When Emperor Slime Dog finally visits Ruyi, he blames her for somehow purposely making sure their son dies during labor...WHAT? Then he decides they should mourn separately? Here would be my plan, I would consume every heathy item Emperor Slime Dog brought me, exercise until I was good and strong, then kick the living stuffing out of him until he begged for mercy...then continue the beating.

Hey I know someone just confessed that they caused our son to die but, it is still your fault so peace out. Yeah I’m so torn i know how this all ends for here. She gave her life to him he loves her and this series eludes to wanting sons , children but how many got to die before he wises up. Well apparently a lot. The actress that plays Ruyi is perfect. I barely like her character in Yanxi. I love the first Empress in Yanxi as well. Neither are completely factual.

Not saying what Nanny Tian did was right, but when Ruyi gave birth to that princess with a weak heart they all acted like it was also the fault of the midwives and Ruyi ordered their pay to be halved so Nanny Tian couldn't buy medicines anymore for her sick daughter and Consort Ling took advantage of her situation. See what happens when a mother is pushed to desperation.

@@dramaforever9143 I'm not saying what she did was right, what I'm saying is it made Nanny Tian vulnerable to manipulation in the court. Ruyi's action back then indirectly caused harm to Nanny Tian's daughter. Mothers who see their children suffering deserve a little bit of sympathy whether they're a young pretty empress or whether they're an older poor midwife. My point was to explain that Nanny Tian is also a tragic character with depth not just some stereotypical villain out to get the empress.

Her husband did care. about her she just het baby and he is not there for her. He was there when the other wife have there baby. You act you love so much .what she went through and last the baby and he took the baby and she did not get to see her daughter that hurt her so much.
