For those curious, as a new dad myself who had never seen this before, the shininess around the eyes is likely just the ointment they put in the baby’s eyes shortly after birth to prevent infection. Had no idea that was a thing when the nurse started squeezing a syringe of goop into my 10-minute-old daughters eyeballs

This gonna sound absolutely terrifying, but before this whole “pushing the sleep paralysis gonna go into people’s dreams” started, I had a dream that Danny was working on a video in his office and for some reason I had a desk next to him. All of a sudden Danny is just STARING at me like he hates me or some shit, and he told me to “Go bring me my item” I was confused af because he didn’t specify. When I asked, he cut me off and said “I asked you to bring me my item.” Because I didn’t wanna ask him again, I just left the room. I turned the corner and that moment a brown egg spawned in my pocket. I assumed this was “his item” so I tried to turn around. But (in dreamlike fashion) I COULDN’T FIND THE FKING DOOR TO HIS OFFICE I LITERALLY JUST TURNED AROUND BUT IT WAS GONE. When I turned back around Danny was standing right in front of me like a creepy ass scp and he started yelling at me that I couldn’t find the item. I started crying right then and there until I saw a plastic blue ring you get in party bags or at Chucky cheese teleport into his hand. All I heard him say after blowing up on me was “Oh you found it! Bye.” And he walked back to his office which was the door right around the corner even though I previously checked it and saw that it wasn’t there. So for some reason this brown egg spawned in my pocket and it wasn’t even the item he wanted, and his “item” was a Chucky cheese plastic ring.

I love how excited Danny is that HIS post on HIS OWN subreddit is the top post. Very wholesome

Having a subreddit of inside jokes means your Reddit’s doing really well and engaging with the videos. A lot of the time RU-vidr subreddits fall off because they don’t get that material, so constantly having jokes and references to throw around (like the gregolution, the dads and cables etc) goes a long way.

If that "bad realism" artist is watching and (hopefully) reading this comment, I've got some good words for you!! While the proportions may be skewed, that's actually very common with people who are learning realism! Your shading is actually really good and you had all the parts done well, but putting them together seemed to be the tricky part. As someone else in another comment said, "Next time, the artist should map out the proportions correctly, step back to view the bigger picture (instead of the small details), and compare it to Danny's actual face." It seems like you went all in on the details instead of mapping/guiding first (though that's just my guess). It can be difficult to draw guidelines for realism unless you practice a lot, but they DO help immensely. The eyes seem to be a bit too close and large, which is the most noticeable flaw. And the shoulders are quite round lol. Overall, your realism has SO MUCH potential and if you were to really hone your skills, you'd be able to make quality portraits with ease! Keep up the good work, don't give up!

That realism piece is actually pretty good. Obviously some of the anatomy and features are off which makes it look odd, but honestly the shading and stuff is pretty good.

I'm glad he mentioned it because Danny was actually my sleep paralysis demon a few nights ago! At the time I had been beyond horrified to see an evil version of Danny with bright red eyes squatting in the corner of my room but when he pulled a box of J's of his demon void, I realized he just came to celebrate 4/20 with me! I couldn't move (as I was experiencing sleep paralysis) but thankfully, Danny sparked up for me and talked abt his evil alternative idea for this video where he did fanart of all the dads in the subreddit.

In my opinion the drawing is really good! The facial features are really similar and drawn well, and the shading is good! Only thing is the proportion, but that’s always the hardest part. The artist should have just focused more on the sketch, but it’s really good!
