3:31 Can't believe Danny named his guy character "squeet", and then about 1 1/2 years later, Kurtis accidentally says "squeet" in his latest Christmas movie review. Life repeats art.
Oh my god, watching this back I totally thought that was a sweet reference to the time Kurtis said squeet - not realising that happened later xDD maybe it was a Freudian slip after watching Danny's episode video too many times 👀
I know this is an old video but the whole apology at the beginning makes a lot of sense actually! Episode isn't a writting software completely, it involves programming and that can be very hard. So things like making the reader pick their name involve harder mechanics that a begginer may not be able to work with
jamie gonnga Danny made a video on his second channel after he made fun of the iheart radio talk show. The girl host started coming at his fans and said “he’s about to get slapped by legal” the video is called “Getting Slapped By Legal” it’s rly funny
the author talking directly to the audience thing happens a lot in fanfictions. for some reason it's just the thing for the author to be like "hi guys, I hope you enjoy! sorry its bad >~
@@bumbabees (Explanation)I know i'm just saying that you can't apply the same standards or formats of books to an episode story because they're different forms of media, it's a bad expectation to believe that games will have the same standards and formatting as books and it can lead to dissapointment. (Possible Solution)Also you can skip through the dialogue if it's truely annoying, just click rapidly. (Apology)Sorry if this reads as being rude, i'm just trying to showcase my own opinion and criticism, if you decide to not listen to me then that is perfectly fine with me.
tbf authors notes are extremely easy to skip. also fanfiction are not normal books. they’re made by fans and members of a fandom simply enjoy interacting with each other. the authors are putting out this content for free out of love and just want to talk and interact with other fans like anyone else. authors notes also often offer content warnings or update schedules which are very valuable!
Do you read on ao3? It makes it super easy to get right to the fic without having to scroll through notes. The author notes and end notes are both separate sections and easy to ignore. Part of why I like it is that I can put a note at the beginning if the fic has any triggering content and then put detailed warnings in the end notes. Then anyone concerned about the content can click to skip to the end notes. It makes it easy both for people who dislike reading content warnings and people who need them. Also, I often spend at least a week on each fic and one of mine took over a year to finish, so I sometimes put notes at the end to explain what I’m working on or when the next chapter will be coming. I write for some very small fanbases so often it’s other fic authors who read my fics. Most of us will put in author’s notes because others will discuss those things in the comments. It’s really interesting to hear other authors’ takes on characters and how their writing process goes. Basically what I’m saying is: check out ao3 if you aren’t already on it, and if you are on it, then please understand that a lot of work goes into the writing and sometimes the authors just want to comment on it lol. It’s easy to just go right to the fic itself.
Fun fact: The "I'm clever" villain is from a cartoon named "Big Muzzy" or something like that, and it was used to teach Danish children English in school. That's how I learned it anyway back in the day 😂
as someone that is still on episode and has been since 2015, it’s pretty funny seeing youtubers play it 😂 a lot of the stories are genuinely good, and scripting a story takes a long time (if it’s well done). so happy i found a youtuber who didn’t immediately make fun of episode!
10:17 That's actually Muzzy! A short film to help people learn a bit of English OR Spanish! In our Spanish class we like to watch it after a test or when we have a free day!
I PERSONALLY laugh at almost every joke😭 I really like to watch your videos while I’m smoking too and the jokes that are already good jokes become even better
This was the first ever Danny video I watched and I couldn't stop laughing like I'm not kidding right now I genuinely almost died anyways coming back now I feel it was a pretty good choice :D
The "I'm clever" vine is from the ony thing I watched as a child (although I watched it in german) and he's saying that to teach kids adjectives in English. I loved my old Muzzy tapes so much and I still have a lot of german knowledge from rewatching them repeatedly.
