Truly excellent video. Lots of great facts and information like always. I love learning new facts especially about these classic shows. These are some of my favorite episodes. I remember watching these shows as a child with my grandmother she was a huge fan of I Love Lucy and my mother and I are too. Thanks for a great video.
What I find amazing is that they did most of these episodes in front of a live audience, even the episodes with very large sets like the ocean liner episode or the train episodes.
This is a great video! So many interesting facts that I didn't know about the filming of the show. This is so fascinating and informative. Thank you for sharing your information with us. The fact about Lucy putting her nose in the coffee cup was brilliant on her part and can't imagine it any other way. Great video!
This was awesome! Some of it I think I knew from the many books I have about the show but overall this felt like new information to me. Anyway great job! I love it!
Robert C From my understanding, it was a unanimous decision between everyone: Jess Oppenheimer, Desi, the writers, etc. Everyone agreed the show needed a new direction. It was Desi who thought Hollywood would be a good decision to take the show so they could have celebrity guests, but the writers knew they needed some new creative ideas away from the apartment.
Their 13th anniversary was at CIRO's Hollywood, Ca. Not Mocambo in L.A. And that was in 1953. The movie "Too many Crooks" was in 1959 so, how could a T.V. roll out and play for the 1953 guests? By then, Lucy & Desi were warming up to 1960 divorce.
