I thought that after Bobby Jellison's final i love lucy appearance in the episode the star upstairs. He could have been in more episodes. The following 9 episodes after "a star upstairs" were still set in Hollywood" he was initially their milkman in the season 1 episode the gossip. He could have have even made some appearances in the last two seasons of i love lucy. Possibly as Bobby the bellboy's identical twin brother. He was a good actor. May he rest in peace.
I went to the Lucy Desi Museum in Jamestown New York, several of her outfits are on display there, including the gypsy outfit in the Operetta episode❤️
This ts the first time I ever saw one of these vids where it is backwards. Everything is switched. Even the pocket on his sport coat is on the wrong side.
On some show (and I’m trying to figure out which one), he would pop up from behind the desk, really suddenly, like a hotel clerk desk, and do this very obnoxious “yessssssssss?” I was like 5, and it somehow still sticks with me. I did impressions of it all my life because I thought it was comical. Any idea what show? I’m thinking Jackie Gleason or?
Good review! It confirms why this movie won for Best Screenplay and Doris was nominated for Best Actress. The character actors were all extremely good too - from the young college son who tries to seduce Doris to Thelma Ritter adding spice to the dialogue with witty comments along with Tony Randall, Doris's boss and other designer/assistant to Brad's other women and the singer at the bar restaurant who catches Rock in the act - her expressions alone were entertaining as were the songs and music. Truly a 10 score movie!

Don't get it twisted though. Another reason that the show had been initially rejected was because it featured a black female bridge officer who had authority. We love you Nichelle Nichols. That BS excuse about it being too similar to Lost in Space was just an excuse.
My parents bought his house in reseda and we lived there for many many years. My parents bought it from his wife Karen. He passed away in the house. This is so cool to see. I’ve always wondered about him. We bought the house in December 1983 and sold it in 2019. It was a wonderful home.
This is a wonderful tribute to the great chemistry between Rob and Laura. If you ever decide to do another one I highly recommend Perry Mason and Della Street. 😊
Apparently she also lived in the building. In the episode where the lady burglar is burglaring the apartment building, the neighbors wake up and they all join Ethel and end up knocking on Lucy's door at the wee hours of the night and they all barge in with the cop and there is Hazel, curlers and all!! LOL. She had some fabulous legs!! And she looks like a "Hazel"!!!
Lucy gives pro golfer Jimmy Demaret a “Mashie” penalty in front of Ricky and Fred and stomps his ball into the ground! 😂😂😂 He should have known to avoid that penalty with his experience! 😂
Google struck through part of my testimony just below this and Apparenly doesn’t like my mention of the diety who created earth and his Son; so has blocked that part: but the three, (father, son, and Spirit) -saved me from worsening effects of caffeine! Even “decaffeinated” caffeine that 60’s folks used in the form of Sanka: we know deep down when we are under the control of any drug/ and the side effects of things that are OK for others may NOT be for us. So let’s have some more Sanka ads. Not more Red Bull sponsorships of sporting events, please! Thanks for your hard work!
I do appreciate the Santa ads: now that every gas station is a wine cellar and “energy drink” outlet. Funny how we have subliminal & devious ads now, but Andy clearly stated his claims were forced on him by sponsors… And despite Starbucks success, I had to go into 12-step Celebrate Recovery and “AA” over CAFFEINE ADDICTION, and the rage it leads to when you’re coming down; and the insomnia & inability to Guage how much energy you really have left vs: “borrowed” energy… I had a spasm of a coronary artery and resulting heart catheterization 25 years ago at age 40 over my caffeine abuse: I quit in fear for 2 years, but needed my Lord & 12-step to FINALLY totally quit caffeine which blew up relationships like alcohol for others, 2 years ago: can’t even overeat chocolate anymore; the southern fuel of iced tea is also off-limits; any amount makes my control of rage, over-talking, and driving narcolepsy impossible! I now quit using coffee-meth (it affects me like meth) You may be as allergic to it as I, and your family paying for your rage and intensity under the influence -But God warned me about coffee when I first became addicted in my 20’s with a cartoon called “Too Much Coffee Man”, in the student newspaper at UW Madison! Hope this helps someone! Sad fact: I cannot have decaf coffee either: I begin to abuse it also, ‘cause when I’m “clean” from caffeine, it gives me a blast of fake energy- it STILL contains caffeine & other related alkaloids so I just drink MORE-Just like a smoker who draws harder and more often on a filter cigarette to get the same “high” Sponsors have to stay happy- so still appreciate Samoa ads, and loved Andy! “Less sugar than the kids would use themselves?” “Controlled sweetness!!” Sugar & starch is artery-destroying & inflammatory -my folks SHOULD have stopped me from adding 4 tablespoons sugar to my Cheerios ! This advertising ploy is still used: last night I actually saw Cascade at the grocery claiming DAILY DISHWASHER USE SAVES WATER, over hand-washing… possible, but they used ridiculous figures! That the machine uses 4 gallons but that hand washing for 11 minutes uses 18 gallons! I’d like to have seen THAT hand washing study! Prolly had an idiot leaving the rinse water running the entire 11 minutes. “Figures don’t lie, but liars figure!”
I remember those multi packs of post cereals-My Dad would cut flaps in the top & we used the little boxes as bowls. Only occasionally the wax paper liner leaked… and of course the sugary ones were my favorite… “less sugar than the young ones put on themselves!” It took the Keto Diet revolution to overcome the natural knowledge parents already had about SUGAR: and, I DID PUT SO MUCH sugar on my cereal I could eat the sugar sludge out of the bottom of the bowl… But the 1977 “Food Pyramid” pushing sugary fruit and high starch, has ignored our grandparents’ concerns with EMPTY CALORIES and turned us into a nation of diabetic blimps: and iphone still lies by telling me when I ask that there is a huge “recommended daily intake” of carbs when I search grams of carbs in various foods using SIRI…
Can anyone help me with a very strange dream I just had: dealing with things before my time, (since I’m just turned 65 and only saw Andy Griffith in reruns in the mid / late 60’s?) In this dream, Zero Mostel is very old, nearly unable to communicate re: vision & hearing loss & is cared for by a special woman caretaker, who takes the time to communicate with him, in his isolated & lonely state. Mostel says he has “just downloaded some Andy Griffith shows” and is concerned about Humana ads seen in those shows. Dream then ends. (A) I knew NOTHING about Mostel, & couldn’t name a thing he did though I just now as a result of the dream went online & searched & watched a “rare 1962 TV appearance”-(a pantomime) (B) he died in 1977; no “downloading” anything was possible (C) I searched “Andy Griffith ads;” & they seem to be Santa coffee, cereal, and maybe Ford Motors… QUESTION: Is my dream then perhaps ACTUALLY concerned about folks of the age, now, such that they had watched the initial Andy Griffith? (Boomers older than myself?) (D) I just signed up for both Medicare & Humana Medicare Advantage in real life. less than a month ago, just prior to my 3/2024 birthday; having felt my wife’s provider, United Healthcare, being allied with AARP, wasn’t good because of AARP’s pushing of social agendas; like abortion… but signed up though knew nothing, really, about Humana -but that they weren’t named with AARP… (A quick internet search shows issues with Humana “Advantage plan” ads being deceptive about “zero deductibles”). I feel that a dream SO SPECIFIC, about things so “out of my wheelhouse” -yet of a warning tone, could be from The Lord (I am a Christian &, I believe in propjecy, dreams, & visions). But of course we have an adversarial spiritual entity also, who is master of accusations & of slander & fear-mongering. Looking at another search result l, I don’t know if I like the theme of Humana plans “evolving” since of course this term “evolution” is associated with much error, death, revolution, humanism, and denial of God, as abortion is. (And Darwin’s macro evolution lie may lie at the fundamental root of the clearly murderous symptom l: the PRACTICE of the abortion I referenced my concern with above re: AARP’s advocacy of it….) Any help here appreciated, and “thank you0 in advance (as Andy Griffith says after delivering his ads, done with Opie and Don Knotts, right onstage, in a sort of self-deprecating, honest & charming old-school way.).
