I Love Pro Evolution Soccer 5 ♡ 

PES 3 to PES 6 was the golden age of Pro Evolution Soccer for me. PES 5 was such an improvement from all the football games at that time in terms of graphics, gameplay, etc. Always great to play these games with all the legends in-game.

I've said once and I'll say it again, PES 5 is better than PES 6, and I think it's the best game in the franchise!!

Ball physics and player physics are way better on PES5. PES6 is very arcadish and a step back

I still play this game today! 18 years later it’s still a masterpiece! The balance just feels perfect! And every game feels random! No samey goals etc.

After all these years I came to realize that PES 5/WE 9 has way more animations (and many of them better) than PES 6/WE 10. I always loved PES 6/WE 10 and thought it was the best of the franchise, but now I think PES 5/WE 9 was actually better.

My first favorite game, I played it for more than ten years in a row until I completely switched to pes 6. The exciting realistic London derby (ARS-CHE), The best Serie A that was in the current millennium, Barcelona and Real with players you can't hate and much more.. PES 5 was something else

it was legendary era like r9, ronaldinho, beckham, adriano and the dawn of our GOATS at that time.

The worst thing i can say about older PESs like PES 6, PES 5 and others is shooting sensitivity. I need to push the button for 0.1s to actually score a goal.. 99% percents of shoots is going to see what is outside the stadium.

I still play PES6. Love it. I am playing Master League very simple, nice game play.

Light years ahead of any football game at the time. Also when PES 2021 came out i thought they'd dominate for years, but regressed somehow. Now there isn't a good football game around.

I remember mostly playing ISS on N64 and then I start playing Fifa so I went back and rented PES5 from Blockbuster, it blew my mind and I became Konami fanboy again. This game was something else. Fifa had all the licenses but this game had player ID down, all the players moved like real players and the physics were unmatched for the time.

Something that always bugs my mind is why in the original version of PES 5 Villarreal has a strange kit (yellow, blue, blue) and it is sponsored by another brand. But in that season of the game they actually used an all yellow combination and they were sponsored by Puma

They even nailed the stadium specific broadcast angles 👏

It's the momentum physics on this game, the ball moves so well and the animations are smoother, pes 6 had janky movements compared to this

This game is fun but the shooting sensitivity (though far better than pes 6) is just frustrating when you're losing. I also hate whenever you get the ball it's almost always a foul. Lastly, transition from difficulty like Amateur and Regular to professional and top player in friendlies is ok but in master league it goes from super easy to unplayable but other than that these games are so fun to play till today

On PC, why pes 5 play not smooth as pes 6. I like pes5, but pes6 gameplay so good.

This and tiger woods were grwat in depth games, editing was unreal. Now they just knockout any old rubbish and use online as a n excuse for a reaply poor core game
