The "debt"-talk from Chuuya at the start can just be understood when you red the manga of dead apple. It's because Dazai made fun over a dead colleague and Chuuya slaped Dazai angry for this comment. Dazai felt bad after this, so he made up a a very fast plan to help Chuuya (and the mafia) to destroy the enemies. He let himself be catched (while playing with his own life) and gave Chuuya the position from the enemies headquarters with a tracker, so Chuuya could find it (and him) and invade it to avenge his collegue. Also, because Dazai was there and helped him, he could use corruption.
26:38 Chuuya's battle cry, his scream, whatever you wanna call it, makes me weak everytime I hear it, it's such a active and serious scene as it shows how lethal "Corruption" is, and yet the holder of the ability sounds so much like some kind of straining frog or crying mountain goat. I feel like the voice acting for this show and the dialogue seems to either be incredibly goofy or serious and convoluted, it's weird how they sort of make it work.
As per the novels, the enemy fire line from Dazai to Chuuya was basically him warning Chuuya of the grenade coming his way. Atsushi's lore is genuinely so good and I hope someday you get around to watching the live action beast movie.
the woman who talks to Chuuya on the plane is Mizuki Tsujimura, one of the two protagonists of a spin off novel called "Bungou Stray Dogs Another Story: Ayatsuji Yukito VS. Kyōgoku Natsuhiko". Whilst this novel has not been official translated into English (though i think there is a fan translation floating somewhere on the internet), the first two volumes of its manga adaptation have and are available to purchase online or (i assume) in some manga/comic book stores.
This is such an awesome movie. Atsushi and Akutagawa's team up to fight Shibusawa was amazing. Also, yes Ranpo's VA is going to be different from here on out.
I´m commenting this way too late but when Shibusawa says Atsushi is the antithesis of all abilities it´s because the combination of them is a dragon and the Tiger and Dragon are used in Japanese culture to represent the Yin and Yang. Something I found about the Tiger and Dragon ¨This refers to two spirits so wildly different and yet at the same time similar, mortal enemies intricately linked together by destiny.¨ Unrelated but not really, I don´t know a lot about the book but I believe (take it with grain of salt) in Rashomon by Ryuunosuke Akutagawa Rashomon is depicted as a dragon making him the opposite to Atsushi and the best suited to be his partner (Spoilers about Stormbringer: same with Chuuya and Dazai, Dazai´s ability is nullification while Chuuya´s original ability was to amplify the abilities of whom he touched)
in the first two seasons of BSD Ranpo was voiced by vic mignogna. From this movie onward he is voiced by Landon McDonald. I assume this is due to the allegations of sexual harassment made against vic mignogna back in January 2019.

Im so glad you enjoy the reactions!! Dazai and Fyodor was probably my favorite part of the movie, I loved seeing the two of them together. Also, wow, It's surprising that the Manga hasn't explained his ability yet. That makes his character so much more interesting.

I like this movie too. I suggest that you watch season 4 when all English dubbed episodes have been released because so far have been released only 5. I am going to watch season 4 myself when all English dubbed episodes have been released. Do you watch season 3 in English dub because it exist too in English dub? Newsflash Crime And Punishment is also Dostoyevsky's book's title.
