Do the traffic lights for violation, but just use wool. Red on top, green on bottom, yellow middle. Just replace the block in a 3 block stack of grey wool. Build a donut shop next to the police HQ.

@LemoningLily permits seem to only pertain to vanilla minecraft items. Services and custom items like cleos tea cups are exempt from permit office regulation and poe poe enforcement.

Skizz is meant for this, the timings and editing is so good. When he’s doing his monologue about getting feedback and then turns around and all the guys are there, you just have to appreciate the artistry. Not to mention the building skills coming out of the guy! Nice job on the interior, wow

My one feedback for Skizz's shop is that you don't need that much counterspace, and you don't need that much space behind the counter. It makes the shop feel small/crowded. I would suggest moving the counter one block back and adding another opening to the back of the counter on the right side of the shop. But that's just a small suggestion, the shop looks good either way.

He doesn't need *any* counter space. What is the counter suppose to be doing other than clicking and messing up the trap doors? It isn't functional beyond that, and it is visually just distracting. Is it just to distract from the fact that he has almost no stock in the shop? "Well, I really only needed two single chests to hold this, what do I do to hide the fact that this shop is huge? I could have just put this in the doorway!"

@@CorwinAlexander And he built a shop with a large, loud *thing* running through the middle of a gorgeous room. If he instead opened it up more and added a bit more shop to his shop, it would look great. The counter doesn't really add to the look like it does in some shops. There's no shopkeeper behind it, which would actually add a lot and explain needing to block off the back half of the shop. Currently, it's just kind of awkward.

Skizz - big empathy for trying to juggle the full-time tech job while trying to participate actively in a community and trying to put out videos regularly. It's hard as heck! You're doing great though - I really love your videos and I'm glad you're on Hermitcraft this season.

Keralis has the honey bottles permit, the honey bottles in xb's shop are from keralis. basically keralis is renting shelf/floor space to sell his items there ..edited to add bottles

Absolutely love the texturing on the cherry/mangrove shop! It's very interesting without being super noisy, and it looked great to use lighting that fit the theme of each side to make it more subtle but still have those pops of color. You won't be able to say you're not a builder for much longer at this rate!

Skizz, one small suggestion. You need a cherry tree in a flower pot on the counter. You have propagules hanging down on the mangrove side. You need a cherry sapling *somewhere*

I looked you up a couple years back when i was watching a bit of your's and impy's sky island series, and your builds were... lack luster... So naturally although i knew socially you would be a great addition to HC because you are hilarious, and i knew your building would get better as the series goes on, but honestly the amount of effort you have put into making things look good caught me by surprise. I was expecting simple builds, little to no detailing/ texturing, but its not what happened at all, and the fact as small as this shop build was that your no longer thinking in single block depth but even thinking about using roots/leaves and what should be behind them, and using as much depth and texture as you are is awesome. I look forward to seeing how much more you will grow throughout your HC journey! Keep up the amazing work skizz!

If you’re going to do the traffic lights, maybe make them in the HQ so you’re not disrupting the flow of the builds the hermits worked on. You could have a section for each permit and since you want a tall tower it would be easier to make room for them all

Honestly the biggest timesaver for Grian this season was not in delegating the responsibilities of the Permit Office to the POE POE, but in assigning Skizz to Scar-wrangling duty. Great episode, I laughed so much!

Skizz, that meeting BigWood had without you was HILARIOUS. Doc’s “so we replaced Skizz with Cub” line was so perfect and natural it had the 0.1 millisecond of “for real?” xD I hope you don’t feel too bad over the ribbing, because that meeting was worth it and wouldn’t have happened if you weren’t busy with a real life meeting!

Regarding the Honey violation: Keralis actually owns the Permit for Honey. Honey Blocks are an entirely separate Permit. The shop, which you are citing for a violation in XB's food store, is actually complaint with all the rules, as not only is Honey a food, BUT the honey section actually belongs to Keralis and is a secondary section within XB's store.

the big tower should have a giant eye on the top, to symbolize the watchfulness of the POE-POE. It should be glowing, to symbolize the light that y'all bring to the shopping district, and it should incorporate yellow/orange/red coloring as an homage to the traffic light symbols. this will definitely be a reassuring and not at all ominous design.

Mr. Skizzleman, for your consideration: Mangrove was made purposefully difficult for two reasons. The first, to encourage conservation efforts of the real plant. The second, to give technical minecraft player's a challenge. 4:43 "I have watched many a video to make a mangrove farm and I don't think it's ever going to happen...they're terrible." I would like you* to reconsider making a farm because they're fresh enough that it'd be good content. *-or rather, your friends join you in making a farm. I think it'd be a fun bit where you gather some of the redstoners on the server to make a mangrove farm and their real challenge is you managing them lol.

I love that everyone’s builds are these cohesive massive cities and Skizz has a base and random statues in the front lol. I love your vids Skizz. I’m not much of a builder in Minecraft. I love exploring the world and interacting with peeps which is what you do in your vids. This is why you are my favorite Hermit. Great job with the shop btw. You did great.

Impulse has already demonstrated the form malicious compliance will take. If the POE POE upset the Hermits too much, they'll take turns buying out your shops putting you continually in violation. Might get you lots of revenue, but you'll be too busy restocking to enforce Permit Office regulations.

The shop looks amazing! My one suggestion would be to blend the divide between the cherry and mangrove a little more, but that depends on the look you’re going for. I love the natural vibe.

So, I know hermits hate complex pricing (cause they never get it correct), but I think your mangrove and cherrywood shop might be well served by a 'scaling price model' to disincentivize large bulk buyouts from a certain goat. 1 diamond block per stack: limit 4 per hermit 2 diamond blocks per stack: limit 2 per hermit All further stacks: +1 diamond block per stack per stack Pricing limits reset on shop restock. I love the idea of the Poe Poe HQ upgrading as more citations are written, and perhaps becoming more overgrown if no citations are written for X period.

Skizz, awesome idea for a skit. Big Salmon needs to, at some point, pay the PoePoe to look the other way when to comes to keeping your shop stocked. Have fun with that!
