I am a new Yoimiya main. Got her in 4.3 after so much unluckiness. I also got Furija on her first rerun and now this duo is my favorite duo. Like..due to my bad luck with artifact rolls, all my mains are weak even with signature wrapons. Im even scared of doing damage test with Yoimiya vs wolflord (i know many peiple can obloterate that dog in under 30 or so seconds with Yoi) but when i paired them, i :as surprised that my Yoi killed in in under 20 seconds it didnt even reach its most annoying phase.
You forgot Layla! She has a shield almost as strong as Zhongli though shorter, but her cryo application works well with Yelan and also activates Yun Jin 'Breaking Conventions' passive. She has become a favorite among Yoimiya's fans, for those who don't have Zhongli.
@@yahallo9812 To me it's Layla. You could argue for Diona because she heals a bit, but Layla has the best shield between the three and 100% uptime on her cooldown.
She's my second favourite 5-star after Nilou! She feels so good to play, and is super cute while doing it! Probably the best DPS for overworld content, even though she falls a little behind in abyss. May all Yoimiya wanters become Yoimiya havers! 🙏
yeah, especially being a pyro bow user for non-combat related reasons in addition to her combat conveniences. Perfect for lighting fires and various challenges. I think overworld usage is highly underrated due to the over-glorification of the spiral abyss, as it's the best place to push characters to their absolute limits, but it ultimately does take up only a small fraction of genshin's total gameplay experience, and is totally optional.
Fellow Nilou and Yoimiya main too! Pulled for her since day 1. Her quest that she got was so so so good and such a redemption arc for such an awesome girl who recieved way too much hate and misinformation. On the otherhand, i have a c1 Hutao thats been on the bench since day 1 and Baizhu's story quest made me dislike her more. Man i know im about to get hanged for this.
I think Yoimiya is one of those criminally underrated characters. Yes, like every hyper carry (Eula, Xiao, et al), she needs the right support cast. There's no way around that (even I've seen her solo abyss 12). But with that support cast she's amazing. The F2P friendly supports are: Fischl,. Thoma, Bennett, Xingqiu, Noelle, Yun Jin and Sucrose. Having any of those is really all you need to make her good. That being said a real shielder like Zhongli is way better for her.
Yoimiya is probably the only DPS character that I’ve felt that I never really wanted any of her cons since she’s sooo good at C0. Experimenting with her on different crazy teams is one of her most enjoyable aspects. My favorite teams I run are OverVape (Yoimiya/Kuki/Beidou/Yelan) and VapeMelt (Yoimiya/Mika/Layla/Yelan). Even running Gatling gun Yoimiya (with Mika/C2 Jean/C6 Yunjin) is crazy but it works lmao. Definitely Yoimiya>>>Hutao (from a C3R1 Hutao haver)
I definitely think Yoi is one of those 5 star characters where you either keep her at C0 to save your primos, or you get her all the way to C6 because you can, and REALLY want to experience those extra hits, collecting the other buffs as a bonus.
@@kimjongsplooge she is far from being one of the worst dps , just run a shielder , Bennett of yunjin and you are good to go . If you wanna do some hard abyss or something then off you will need to build the team but in overall just put slingshot on her a Bennett ot yunjin and a shielder and she can clear almost everything
@@kimjongsplooge as a C0 RustR5 Yoimiya haver and a C6R5 Hutao haver, I say to you one thing. Yoimiya is better then Hutao EVERYWHERE but the specific abyss floors Yoimiya struggles on. I am not talking raw numbers, I'm talking clear times, ease of use and effectiveness.
Ya yoimiya definitely out performs hutao in lots of areas, hutao shines only for big burst on bosses with lots of hp. Hutaos really there for one shotting. Yoimiya puts those same numbers down very quickly albeit not at once.
Normally I only do abyss showcases but while making the video I realized I lost all my old yoimiya footage 😭 and this abyss isn’t the greatest to showcase her so I had to throw together some overworld showcases on top of the few abyss runs I do have in there. They’re much squishier than the abyss enemies but she still claps them in plenty of time.
I passed Abyss 12 first half with Yoi-Yun-Ye-Ben team. Sometimes the crocodile one hit her but if you can manage to dodge and time the rotation right, everything after that just went smooth as butter.
Must say that she is really not worse than Hu Tao as many content creators are constantly saying. Yes, Hu Tao can do better on large bosses that don't move around and she can't phase through. Anything that moves alot or flies away is Yoimiya's territory. Yoimiya also have more team options compared to Hu Tao and can set up her own VV shread, something impossible in almost all Hu Tao teams. Even though my Hu Tao is much better invested (artefact RNG), Yoimiya usually clears bosses faster without her signature weapon and horrible artefacts. What I'm trying to say is "Yun Jin master race".
Eula or hu tao critting for million is showy and can potentially be worth a lot of views and just feels incredible. Putting a million arrows into the enemy in a minute or two without resetting until you crit can also be awesome but isn't really the same spectacle of obvious worth

Yoimiya is good. I got her on her first rerun, I like her and recently she's one of characters in my main exploration party. She saved me together with Yelan back when there was the Robot Snake in Abyss. I'd say she's almost as good as Ganyu.

Yep, for real. I said this one day and got crucified by a Ganyu main and a Hutao main for daring to compare Trashmiya to their dps queens. I love how CC love to mention that she NEEDS a shielder bc if she dodges she loses some dmg off her attack string. When i mentioned that if u dodge while charging Ganyu shot, you deal 0 damage for that charge attack rotation, no body wanted to hear that. This is this thing i hate most about this community.
@@anheld8726yeah, ganyu and hu tao need shielders too, bcs one of them needs 2.5 sec to charge atk and the other one runs around the arena with less than 25%hp with almost 0 stamina left. Somehow requiring a shielder is a weakness on yoimiya's side
Im finally getting her. What i love about her is that she’s so easy to build and also kinda cheap since rust is good on her and there isn’t a huge difference between her signature and rust
either be good at dodging or just have a shield/interruption character, she'll be protected and makes her easy to play after that. I like Yoimiya if only I wasn't a Hu Tao main would I uses her more.
Wait how does burgeon yoi work? I thought her arrows were single target, so if you shoot the seeds it means you don’t hit the enemies so you don’t vape your powerful hits anymore 🤔
@@simonditomasso9868 her burst sets off nearby cores but it's mostly a vape team with occasional burgeon damage. You don't exactly aim for the dendro cores it's more of a passive thing. It's a bit tricky to do without Baizu or Nahida tho
Good questions. from when I played it it seemed like the arrows did a tiny bit of splash when I hit the enemies so that exploded the cores. But im not sure about that tbh, need to study and test more
I'm counting the days unitl I get her! I've been pre-farming for her and her future team of Thoma and Yun Jin for the last three weeks and I can't wait until she's finally on my account. I fell in love with her playstyle ever since I first saw what she can do and even though she's Pyro, my least favorite element, she's gonna be one of my best characters. She's amazing!
I don't understand why I get strange looks from all sorts of people whenever I mention burgeon Yoimiya. It literally solves all the problems people had with her! Not to mention it gives her burst a pretty good case for using it too
Her two story quests have me in love with her. I'm pulling her after Navia in the second half of the next update. Also, I fully built Yun Jin and Layla really want to pair them with Yoimiya.
i missed Yoimiya on her last banner despite wanting her(lost 50/50 and didn't have enough primos for her) but now I have a guaranteed and Its gonna be for her. In about 19 days. I will pre farm her everything, he materials, books, exp, even her teammates
Honestly I have all Pyro characters and before dendro I was mostly using Yoimiya or Xianling from pyro element. Hu tao without c1 really feels clunky to play and Yoimiya is really good at because of her long range attacks
Great info as always! I like when a 5 star character works well with a 4 star weapon because while I've had good luck on the weapons banner, it's honestly a trap.
She absolutely destroys Puppet Raiden and is amazing for farming in certain domains. Some of the more annoying cryo domains come to mind. I skipped her on the her first banner to save for Raiden which was the correct move. But I snatched her up on her first rerun and have a blast playing her still. I was using Yanfei for ranged pyro before I got her.
Finally after 2 years I'll get her. Along with kirara I want to try unusual team comps like burgeon, overburgeon, overvape etc... Can't wait for wednesday !!
Yoimiya is still my best boss slayer ever. Even though i got her by mistake trying to get Sarah but between Sarah and yoimiya the first one to get Lvl 90 was yoimiya and i practically use her on every boss.
I got yoimiya on release by skipping both ayaka and the raiden shogun, but although I felt uncertain about it at the time I slowly realized that I hardly ever wanted to play anyone else; she just feels so nice to play and I love her design!
What people miss out on with characters like phys fischl, dehya, alhaitham, yanfei, scaramouche, cyno etc is that yea they dont have that big juicy burst, but they put those same burst numbers down quickly, quick enough that it doesnt matter. Playstyle is the difference.
I have both yoimiya and hu toa C0R1 and here's my take. Whenever its really small fry very spread out (abyss floor 9 stuff) or 1 big target that moves around a lot (think raiden weekly or thunder manifestation) she is straight up better then hu toa, honestly almost every other situation she is a lot worse. When theres an abyss room with 2 or 3 big enemies, with hu toa if played well you can hit them all every charged attack consistently but with yoimiya you just lose that skill ceiling that can really pull hu toa ahead. Theres no real way to play yoimiya better, esspecially bc a shield is so recommended to get that fifth hit so that dodge skill is also often irrelevant. Played at basic skill level they are very comparable if not yoimiya better (on phones she is pretty much always better) its just that hu toa has a WAY higher skill peak
The part people forget is that she is very F2P friendly. She is complete at C0 she can use Slingshot a 3 star weapon which works well on her and if you get lucky with rust shes works great with that shes also very easy to build and understand. Shes a great character to pick up for anyone who doesn't want to invest alot or play everyday. Also shes adorable.

it's sad when people actively discouraging other to pull for her. probably just blind metaslaves who don't see past beyond big pp damage. she isn't that bad either on big pp damage. it's also came from an old bug that makes ranged normal attacks missed 50% of the time. it has been patched and ranged attack is given more range buff and boost of accuracy. She hits her target 90% of the time now. what's in her beyond the big pp number, you asked? she is cute, she is sexy... oh yeah she is sexy to the point of threading on thin ice on CCP rules of nudity in media. she is voiced by ueda kana, the voice actor for Rin/Isthar in FGO

Amen! Like you said, she's a boss killer and she's really good in chambers with multiples weak ennemis like hillchurls shaman and crossbows, treasure hoarders with molotovs, ranged fongus,etc. Meta slaves are some of the most toxic people in the game and they'll do anything to try and ruin your fun. Not a surprise, but a huge percentage of them are Hu Tao mains

I hope you do her justice by building her right. I too have been loving yoimiya and lisa and a few more underrated characters. lisa n3>tap e infinite loop chain combo is kind of busted. lisa thoma xingqui nahida is a broken team ive been loving so far. aggravate spread hyperbloom electro charged burgeon overload and vaporize reactions going crazy. i build thoma hybrid with er sands hp goblet and em circlet. 24k burgeons with good defense and lisa aggravate with crit stats but with em goblet for 21k hyperblooms and good aggravate damage. xingqui rainswords provides dmg reduction that effectively increases thoma shield damage absorption. lisa n3>tap e combo makes her insane driver for xingqui and thoma
Thanks for the comment man. For the lisa guide it’s going to have to wait a bit because I’m probably going to wait until I can get her c4. Right now I’m at c2. So probably during fontaine haha unless I get lucky and get her from standard sooner Unless there’s enough demand to do it sooner :) there’s just so many characters left to make videos on!

I started playing about a month and a half ago, during Nahida's banner, only just got to AR50 yesterday. My only 5-stars were Nahida from the limited banner and Mona + a Wolf's Gravestone from standard. I do have a secondary team with Kaeya and Xiangling, but I wanted a solid DPS unit that's easy to build and that can cover my Nahida team's weaknesses (mainly cryo shields and single target damage). Yoimiya's a godsend (and my 2nd 50/50 win). Didn't waste any primos on getting Rust, I just slapped an R5 slingshot on her and use bennett + yunjin to make up for the low base atk. She's so easy to build and she slaps hard even with my trash artifacts.

im just really unlucky with some characters. i recently checked how many hundreds kills i have on electro lavachurls and it reflects in the amount of great emblem sets i have. i wouldnt complain about those. but in all that time i still have not gotten a single usable Shimenawa sands, circlet or goblet for Yoimiya that has more than 2 relevant substats. rust is also the only 4* that just wont drop for me. i only ever got 1 copy so im sticking with the slingshot. hyperbloom has been my crutch for a lot of content since 3.0 but if i get a chance to bring yoimiya ill do it anyway.
Just got yoimiya by mistake... I have like r5 rust already... So wanna ask Should i pull for thundering pulse or save it for alhaitham's or kazuha's sword? (i wanted to pull for alhaitham btw and i won 50 on yoi)
I'm a F2p, and I have Yoimiya and Thundering Pulse. Also just 2 sets +18% ATK, but I destroy everything with her, she makes a lot of damage and I think she's really fun.
Yoimiya is awesome and I also have hu tao. They get used about the same but I definitely enjoy using Yoimiya more. Sometimes I struggle with her but that's always self-inflicted lol we don't run any shields around here lol.
Welcome to Jello Impact where we make you want to pull for every character! 😂 jokes aside I've had Yoimiya for a long time now and I never regretted pulling her, she's crowned and I spent months strongboxing a great Crimson Witch set for her. She's fun to play and I love her bubbly personality. Unfortunately I've never gotten her to be useful on floor 12 (maybe cause I don't ever use Bennett with her). If you have the choice between building Kuki or pulling Yoimiya and your main concern is abyss I would pick Kuki any day.
I still dont get why people think Yoimiya is worse than Hu Tao?! I really dont get it. Yoimiya is more single target focused...but you only have lesser targets to kill ... I would even say she does a better job than Hu Tao. And both of them need Zhongli to work without problems. Besides that her personality is just wholesome...and despite her liking for children like things...she is very mature when she needs to be. I even skippen Raiden vor her on purpose. (We all know the Yomiya.exe video)
@@joeltoomer3332 as he mentioned in the Video. That may be true to a certain extend ... but you also need to take into account how mobile and/or far away some enemies are. The time it would take to reach that target ... And even if its only 1 - 2 seconds is time your skill is activated...but no damage has been dealt. Yoimiya doesn't care. She keeps attacking which results ... again ... in more damage. I have both at C0 without signature. Hu Tao has 2 50 CV artefacts and much better stats over all. But ... eventough I can jump cancel no problem...Yoimiya is easier, and better. At least from my experience.
I really love her but being Xingqiu-less and Yelan-less makes it really hard to get much out of our best girl 😭 Also R5 rust is harder to get than a signature 5* 🤣
use Yun Jin/Mika instead as compensations to boost her attack speed to the max, not exactly same as good, but closes at least the gap to those two significantly enough.. With C6 Yunjin and Mika, you can boost her Attack Speed by like around 50%, letting her do alot more shots while her E skill lasts, dealing increased damage, which compensates some of the extra damage dealt with the E and Q of Yelan/Xingqiu
@@ChristianKessler4185 I only have C4 Yun Jin 😭I was thinking maybe Yoimiya with Fishl/Beidou but I don't have C6 Fishl either so not sure if it will work as good as a fully overload team would with electro on normals from Fishl C6.
@@Szczurzyslawa i highly recommend using star glitter to get a single copy of Xingqiu! He'll be available in March and September. C4 Yunjin is usable and can enable geo resonance. Just be sure to try and give her some energy. hope you can get copies of her👍
Her burst for me is a great way to dodge and gives good vape when swapping to yelan. My only complaint is I don't enjoy spamming left click, but everything else I enjoy
I love Yoimiya, she's my main pyro DPS, got her on the first rerun and her bow on the second one, I do plan to get her to C2 eventually but now I just have primos to pull for a C0 Miko, I even crowned yunjin to make her stronger just need to get a good shimenawa set, I farm that domain so much and haven't got a better set than my 2 PC glad/2 PC wanderer =/
@@francisr8205 currently wander is built as the DPS...still building my team, but the element mix seems stable to play. I trade mona between yoimiya and beidou depending on necessity, and finish with wanderer...beidou makes wanderer an excellent electro character by the way...lol
I'm thinking of pulling Yoimiya, even though my account doesn't need her (I have a very invested hyperbloom team, I already have Hu Tao) BUT, Yunjin is my favorite character (I have her c4, crowned burst, a cracked Husk set) but I have no one to use her with! And Yoimiya is her perfect partner so I might just... 😍
Well you CAN use yun Jin with Hu Tao! especially if your hu Tao is just C0, you can do her combos that use more normal attacks and go hu Tao xingqiu yun Jin zhongli!
Due to yun Jin’s buff limit, AOE characters like wanderer, ayato, do not use yun Jin very affectively. Better to use characters that can properly buff his AOE. Unless you’re using him strictly to fight bosses and have zhongli for geo resonance so like zhongli/faruzan/yun Jin that could be solid. But I actually don’t even know how good his single target is. Like I know it’s solid but not sure who he’s comparable to
@@JelloImpact He still gets great use out of her even in AoE. Yun Jin is his most popular 4th slot teammate even in chambers that have some AoE, such as current floor 12 top half. Like, Yoi getting more effective Yun Jin stacks than Wanderer in AoE does not equate to Yoi making better use out of Yun Jin than him, if he still doing more damage with her than she is. And you absolutely do not need geo resonance. And his single target output, comparing everyone at c0 (assuming c6 faruzan ofc) is basically the highest in the game with only Xiao with a good amount of collision plunges, and Quickbloom Cyno, being fairly similar
If you like yoimiya she would be a great character to play through the game with. She’s my favourite overworld character. Kokomi is very comfy as a healer and has a lot of teams she’s good in. Both are great choices. Someone like Hu Tao I would not recommend as someone’s first five star because her overworld performance is meh IMO. Also burst reliant characters are not always the best for brand new characters, which yoimiya is not
Yun Jin thrives in teams with 4 different elements, since her buffs grow stronger the more different elements are in the team. Also, Yoimiya is not the only char who can benefit from Yun Jin's buff, Ayato does it perfectly
@JelloImpact Yun Jin literally has a ascension that improves her speed perk more with different elements? And Ayato is a normal attack focused character as well.. what do you not agree with? Lol. 😂
I’m very torn between Kazuha and Yoimiya. I like both of them a lot (Kazuha more because I know his lore), and my account is relatively new so I only have one team for Spiral Abyss (Keqing Aggravate). I have 70 pity and 50 pulls currently. I want to main DPS Kazuha if I get him but I don’t really have the units to build that, and I don’t have any teams that I could make or add Kazuha to aside from my Keqing team which does decently enough. Yoimiya on the other hand gives me a Team 2 main DPS that I can decently build right now if I pull her. Not sure which one gives me more account value
She's the only character I was able to use without much issues while I have my left arm injured which is a blessing for me. Also I'm curious, how did you build Thoma for her? I haven't used him at all but figured might as well try to build him for Yoimiya.

Please don't remind me about Rust. I've been playing since 1.0. Got Yoi on her first banner. Got Thundering Pulse on Yoi/Nahida banner. Got my first Rust a few weeks after that. Slimgshot was carrying me for more than a year. Also her second quest was super cute.

Love her to death, I used her in every single abyss since then ! I wanted to ask you, I usually run yelan/yoimiya/bennett/thoma, but I have zonghli and yunjin (C2); should I replace bennett/thoma with zhongli and yunjin ? PS: would love to see even just a very quick video about that yoi burgeon team and how it works !

I run Yoimiya C0 with r5 rust, Yelan C1 with Eledgy R2, Zhongli on Millelith and bennet/Yun Jin c6 let me tell U I easily do 80-150K on normal hits and 200K+ on vapes... I am going to wish on the Yoimiya/Miko weapon banner if I get the bow my Yoimiya will take on Celestia next😎😎 I love Yoimiya my only triple crown character and I have farmed her artifacts for 2 years now...I don't get the yoimiya hate she is so easy to play but does so much single target dmg that it's insane...I have seen people hating on her because she is so easy to play but then people also hate Cyno who is not so easy to play IDK people can be indecisive all the time..If u like the character play them that's it. It's a single player game no one is going to judge U...just play what u like.
Double geo should be better out of those two. Double hydro with xingqiu should be close but that depends on the investment of your xingqiu. I think double geo still is a little better Zhongli yun Jin yrlan

I wish I liked Yoimiya. But even after really pushing myself to like her. With 9 9 9 talents 78 crit rate 270 crit damage and thundering pulse. I just cant stand her missing so many shots. When the enemies are standing still and the stars align. When the bow goes pew pew pew and the numbers skyrocket she feels so fucking good. But her range is too short, if I want a full attack sequence to hit I essentially have to be melee range >_> Also dont judge me. I stole my Dilucs artifacts and I got Thundering Pulse by luck. >_> She has by far my favorite design and theme...
Despite her simplicity I think she’s one of the most beautiful characters I may pull for her in 4.3 - I wanted to pull for Navi’s but with my team comps nothing would really click with Navia!
Honestly love the love for her.. but alot of this is an extremely L take. First off.. you do not need c6 for an upgrade. If anything c6 actually massively throws off her balance for vape. I was lucky enough to get her at c3 r1 and with shim pieces her vapes consistently crit for 90 to 110k. Hu Tao almost requires c1 to be full use.. and she does not synergize with Yelan who is the strongest hydro sub dps. (Doesnt trigger on Hu tao charged style).. It seems you play with quite a low investment Yoi, and ofc that causes her to suffer. She can handle aoe well because she has auto aim over distance, and blows thibgs up quickly.. as well as being most likely the best single target dps in the game. Definitely one of them. I have a hugh investent Nahida, XQ, Kazuha, Cookie hyper bloom team that crushes.. and yet my Zhong, Yoi, Yelan ans Bennett team is OFTEN my hyper carry in Spiral Abyss, getting the quick times to allow my hyperbloom team more time. You might have a point at c0 with rust only.. but the rest of your assumptions about more high investment Yois were way off. C3 R1 with 2400 Att, 81/245 crit and 150 EM is a massive amount more invested then the 1500 attack Yoi you were showcasing. (And in a full burgeon team, rust actually takes away from reactions she triggers. You are better off using an EM based bow). Good vid regardless. Enjoy your Yoi.
Why do people think Hu tao outclass her in terms of damage? They are even. The only difference is that Yoimiya is too focused on single target. That's why against many mobs, Hu Tao is far better. But against single boss (especially those who fly) Yoimiya can be better.
She's arguably the easiest to use Pyro DPS in the game. Yes, she's not perfect and needs the right support cast, especially Yun Jin and Xingqiu/Yelan, but Jello said it best: you built her right, she's gunning down all the trash mobs and does very good DPS. Also try being sad listening to her... just try. :) She's so animated an bubbly.
