St. Louis Blues fan here …. Congrats and huge props to Jonathan for an unbelievable career in Chicago. During those Blues - Hawks matchups all those years you never wanted to see #19 on the ice. Jonathan is a sure first ballot Hall of Famer !! St. Louis Blues Nation salutes you Sir. Well done.

A very humble and classy person. Only a true leader would acknowledge the training staff who's been there longer than he's been alive. You can take the player out of Winnipeg but you can't take the Winnipeg out of the player. Congrats on a great career in Chicago, hope you can have a couple more healthy seasons.

It was truly amazing to watch Toews, Kane, and the rest of the group from the dynasty era. I haven’t agreed with the organization for a long time, and Kane and Toews were the last things connecting me to the Blackhawks. Hometown pride isn’t cutting it for me anymore, and I am leaving my fandom behind as these two legends move on. Best of luck to Toews, and thank you for an incredible ride in Chicago.

I love how he pointed at the upper deck and said I love you all the way up there. Those working class folks who can’t afford season tickets and scrimp and save just to attend a few games a season. Those are true fans and they love their Captain.

As a Bruins Fan, It still warms my heart to see the Love and Respect these Chicago fans have for him. You don' have to like a certain team but you can always Respect a Great Player no matter what team they play for. A team is a Team, but Great Player is always deserving of appreciation and respect.

This is the kind of player you can only truly understand why he is one of the best all time by watching him, and it’s so sad he went out the way he did with sickness and mediocrity. But either way, he is one of the greatest players the game has ever seen and I’m so glad I got to watch him lead a dynasty.

They were unstoppable during the cup playoffs against Philly. He got a very well deserved standing ovation here. Hope he does well entering into the second chapter of his life.

I was at his first game and the game against Colorado with the amazing move / goal. Truly sad to see both Kane and Toews are no longer Hawks, thanks for the three cups and bringing Chicago hockey back to the championship level. I hope the rebuild can reach the levels that you brought the team to, not sure that will be possible.

Hockey is now back in session i am watching the avalanche vs blackhawks game right now and it is different not seeing number 19 on the ice he was truly one of the greatest Captains to come across the nhl winning 3 stanley cups with the franchise he will be missed sincerely a Colorado Avalanche fan

Great captain, great leader on and off the ice. As a life long Blackhawks fan and beer leagues goalie I'd play with this guy anytime anywhere. Jonathan, Kaner and Patrick Sharpie went to Northwestern Hospital to visit a young man that suffered a neck fracture. It wasn't just any kid but the son of one of our teammates. They heard about it and did what they have always done...showing up to lift his spirits when nobody was watching. Pat Foley and Edzo highlighted it during a game during a break. We were beaming with pride not only for our teammates family but for the Hawks leaders showing up. Class act 💯. Tip of the hockey helmet 🏒. O Captain my Captain

Captain Serious. Toews and Kane were the heart of this team for a very long time. Won 3 Stanley cups together. Great send off although it would have been awesome if they were playing the Rangers instead so Kane could be there too but still good nonetheless.

Toews excellent player and real captain of team, the leader on and off the ice. I Pens fan from Eastern Europe, but I with big pleasure watched how young BlackHawks team won 3 Cups. Wow! And I not able to imagine Toews in other hockey jersey, only Chicago! 👍 Best regards to Toews and to all BlackHawks fans. Unfortunately, every team go through difficult time for rebuild, refresh power and in future BlackHawks will be pretender to Cup again and hockey magic will repeat. Go Hawks!

I donno, I’m an Avs fan but I thought this was kind of underwhelming? I just thought it should have been more epic cuz he deserves nothing less. I mean 3 cups and captain? Should have been more tributes from former players and stuff. But maybe they didn’t have enough time to put this together but I just think he deserved way more for a send off 🤷🏼
