I love my 12 mini, for me it's the perfect size. It doesn't feel like I'm carrying a tablet in my pocket anymore and I have the iphone 12 features i want.

Love my 12 mini! I have an Ipad air and my mini offsets it really well. Also, it’s smaller than the 8, and has a bigger screen. I don’t disagree with your review though. Niche market fir sure. Be well.

Love my Mini. I work from home so the battery life has never been a big issue for me. Though I get why people feel that way. But the size is PERFECT for me.

@@enamuljim5502 there is not much difference of battery between 12 mini and 13 mini. Both are trash and when the battery health goes down to 90+ , you will see it going down even faster. This is coming from someone who manage to maintain 100% after 5months, and now 10months im at 89% so u can see the downfall after 6months. i dont game and only charge between 30-80%. fyi.

@@enamuljim5502 i think i've explained it well, you can't watch youtube for too long, if at all. also one thing to note is that using cellular drains the battery way faster than wifi.

I loved the Mini 12 to the point that it has ruined me for all bigger phones at this point. If Apple really does decide to kill this lineup after the 13 Mini, I think it'll be a major loss.

Agreed with everything said here. iPhone 12 mini was a failure not because people didn’t like it, but because average people didn’t find value in it. People liked the previous small phones because they were small, but they were also CHEAP. Apple deviated from the formula here, and that didn’t end up well for them. Great video, loved the pacing and b-roll!

i choose the size over the battery, my 12 mini is on 100% battery life and it hasnt gone flat on me either i only charge it up when i need too and thats not even too 100% you must sit on your phone ALL DAY lmfao thats something you should be more worryd about then the battery 😂😂😂😂😂

I used to love having smaller phones for easy of holding in one hand and small it fits in my pocket. Basically just how compact it is. But my needs has changed. Started watching more RU-vid videos. Needing it as a GPS. Sometimes gaming. And of course taking better photos and looking at them. Went from 6 to 7 Plus. Haven’t looked back.

Check out Jordan Peterson. He mentions a study where lobsters that were defeated in a fight for the right to mate will feel demoralize, but when they were given antidepressants that humans take, the lobsters were willing to give a fight another chance for the right to mate again. Interesting stuff if you're into psychology

Awesome video! 👏 I actually don't see little phones going mainstream anymore. The use scenarios were quite different before the big screens. Maybe they'll scale down a bit from the 6.5-7 inch sizes.

I have the I phone 12 mini for more than 6 months,and the size works for me just fine. No complaints at all, since I moved up from an I phone 6s.

Just bought the 12 mini coming from a SE 2016. I loved the SE but thought it was maybe a tiny small, so wanted something a bit bigger. I almost bought the regular iphone 12 when I learned that the mini was larger than the SE 2016, even if smaller than the SE 2020. I could have chosen the SE 2020, but the camera was what made me choose the 12 mini. You can't get any decent night pictures from the former (I can't consider myself a photographer, but every once in a while it is nice to be able to get night or low luminosity pictures). And to be honest, I guess it helps that I have the money to spend at the moment and felt like I wanted the newer thing (with also a bit better battery). And with the higher screen to body ratio, the 12 mini should also feel even more a bit bigger than the SE 2020. I don't necessarily want the smallest phone out there, but one where there is a nice balance between size and portability. Something I can put easily in my smallish pants pockets without feeling uncomfortable when I sit, but which I can still decently type with.

The SE 2020 is actually bigger than the 12 mini in overall size. It's just the screen size the 12 mini is bigger than the SE 2020 in.

This was probably the most useful breakdown of the iPhone 12 Mini sales that I've seen-that if people cared about either of the two main selling factors (size and price), there were already other options for them. I'm planning on getting an iPhone 13 Mini because big phones are just too unwieldy. I don't care that much about the battery (anything is gonna be better than my old 6s now lol). It's really too bad about the cameras, but the size usability matters more to me.

I’m getting 13 mini too. My iPhone 8 has cracked screen, full storage, limited battery life, and poor performance. I can’t wait to get the 13 mini!

My sister who has an XS Max didn’t even know about the existence of this phone. when i told her that Apple has a mini 12 for their lineup she was like “for real? i never knew!”. at this point i’m convinced the lack of sales is due to the average person not knowing about the existence of the phone

iPhone 12 mini was the only choice for me. I've watched the "brickification" of phones, as I call it, with distaste and loathing. Smaller phones will always be better, IMO.

I really like my S10E. Samsung had the same issue with sales creating a mini version of their flag ship. The E stood for essentials which is not really confidence inspiring if you dont know the specs. The Mini name is a much better choice. Non the less both of which were not very successful in sales. I gotta give it to Apple for not giving up their Mini line up for this generation just because the last one failed. Samsung especially after hearing the results of the Mini 12 may never make another small flagship phone. I guess size really does matter for most people. :/

I used the Mini all year as my main and it was fantastic for travel and using with one hand comfortably. The battery is a pain point and after a year the screen size is starting to feel cramped so I got the ZFlip 3 for this year and go back to the iPhone 14. I haven't been with android and Samsung since the S8 so I'm curious to see if OneUI is any better, I know it is but I forget a lot of the features.

I’ve been using iPhone 12 mini for about a year. I always loved small phones. It was a great phone, camera and display were also amazing, but after few months, the battery capacity started to go down. Now its at 86% and lasts about hour and half to two hours on screen time, which i found unusable. One day i used 240% of the battery after 6 hours of ost. I switched to iPhone 13 pro now. Now i don’t have to charge the phone twice per day, but once every two days.

The only problem with the 12 mini is the price and that too for 64gb! If we consider battery life then SE2 got that even worse than 12 mini which was one of the best selling iPhone last year

I think the smaller iPhone 12 mini could have sold well, the only problem like you said was the battery , that was the only thing holding this iPhone back but otherwise it’s still a really good phone in my opinion. Also really love the video

Love my mini no matter what people feel.. Agreed battery was bit let down compared to other models, but still size is all matters.. Fits in pocket.. I wish Apple keeps mini in the future models also.. (I have heard that Apple would discontinue from 14 onwards)

I have the 12 mini and my 6.67” Android phone now seems like a brick in comparison. Love the smaller phone despite actually leaving iPhone in 2012 because they were too small.

Wow compelling arguments, well analyzed. I agree too small phones have a reason to exist. I have large hands but small pocket space usually, and I'm frustrated with my phone, in general it occupies way too much space on the table. The iPhone 5s kinda size is perfect, regardless of the manufacturer.

Nice review . For me the iPhone 12 Mini didn't do good because of the battery . When I was choosing between the mini and the standart 12 , I chose the regular 12 because of the battery . I absolutely love the mini's size ( it gives me some memories when phones were small and compact ) but the battery just made me choose the regular . For me , everything above 6 hours of SOT is not good ... They could make it thicker and put bigger battery !

I don't think it necessarily failed, I think they made the fatal mistake of not having the triple camera on it. If it had the triple camera on it I would have bought it for sure.

Hey what a super comprehensive high speed review!:-) Being honest, probably old as your dad, but I like tech stuff. And for sure there’s a niche for the 12 mini but I don’t think that just applies to age. For me 12 mini is super. Everything works great, nice n easy in the pocket or hand, battery for sure is negotiable, but enough to get me through the day. And I don’t see nothin new in the 13 mini that really would make me want to upgrade at the moment. Bu apart from my personal preference stuff……please keep doing your reviews, because you cover all the angles ie .$$$ sales , what’s working or not working for them (apple) , and what consumers are liking or not. Been an absolute pleasure to watch your review. Keith

I bought an iPhone SE 2020, before the mini was launched. It didn’t make sense for me to buy two iPhones I’m in the same year. However, I’m now looking forward buying the 13 mini, which apparently doesn’t have any compromises against the regular 13

I traded in an iPhone 5S that a random person just gave to me and received $365 off towards the 12 mini at T-Mobile earlier in the year. Been using it as my main phone ever since. It’s been great and I got used to the smaller size.

Everyone wanting a small iphone bought an SE because in Canada it is $400 cheaper than the mini (in Canada at least). I was going to hold out for the SE3 this coming spring but now my 2 year old iPhone 8’s battery health is still 94% but thanks to the “service battery” message I am getting (must be a glitch) I will probably go with the 13 mini. Also I remember when EVERY reviewer was saying the iPhone 8 would be the last iPhone with a home button so I ran out and bought one then the SE2 came out. So I’m not buying into rumours so much anymore.

Honestly it was bad timing. If they wouldn’t have released the SE2 literally a year ago, this phone would’ve sold like hot cakes. But general public was mad they just bought the SE2 only to have the better prettier version release before they could have an upgrade to get it or money to buy it. The only reason it didn’t sell is because apple moves faster than the consumer. They should slow the hell down imo.

I feel like everyone's got different tastes and phones and that's okay :) so my mood changes a lot sometimes I like tiny phone sometimes I like big phones. I'm going to need more people who have this phone to give me pros and cons if that's okay. I'm planning on trading in my RAZR for an iphone and I'm unsure which one I want exactly but the mini caught my eye. This would be my first apple device ☠️

Own all the 12 models, Used the mini for a while, Loved it except I’d be running thin on battery, Also made the mistake of getting a 64gb instead of higher like on my other devices. I change between the 12 and 12 pro, The pro max is too big, not really comfortable to use and just use it as a media device at this point. I wish I would have gotten more storage on my mini instead of trying to save a few bucks. The mini was a good phone portability wise, And I didn’t mind the size too much. Overall If you want a mini and fine with the size and battery I’d get it because after the 13 mini Apple is dropping it.

Currently testing out the SE 2!! Feel like they are pretty different phones tbh (from the design of the display to the camera tech etc) but both definitely give the small form factor

People keep complaining on battery but take into a serious consideration the fact that PEOPLE WHO HAVE NO BRAIN AND USE ANY SMARTPHONE CONTINUOUSLY WILL ALWAYS COMPLAIN ON BATTERY. For me IP12 mini lasts for 2 days. But I do have my brain and know how tu use it.

In the days of carrier financing and credit cards, I assume most people are financing their phones so I don’t view them as status symbols. It’s wiser to pay upfront and use a prepaid plan.

This iphone 12 mini does look pretty good i d say :-) almost the size of the iphone 6 maybe :-) Overall great and very informative review great jacklyn ⭐️⭐️
