I wish I could speak both English and Japanese flently like you. That would be much easier when I travel to Japan or try to get a job there.

I totally understand you how is feel like a Foreigner in my own country. I am Japanese-Brazilian (I'm living in Sao Paulo State where there are a LOT of "Asian-Brazilian") and when I go to another State where there are no Asian, everyone looks to me like I was an alien. It's totally awkward.

Man, it's a shame how some people believe that "foreigners" can't speak the language of the country they're in. I sympathise totally, i can't say I've had that problem though. I'm half English and German but I look a lot more like my mum whose German so I tend not to stick out when I'm in Germany or have people who think i look too English so can't speak German

Firsto Name yes, but both have distinct differences in facial features and other visual characteristics so it's quite easy to tell the difference between a German and English person just by looking at their face

Don't the English descend from Germanic people or have Germanic roots?

What you're saying doesn't make any sense, you grew up in LA. You have a pretty distinct California style and don't look very Japanese with your fashion. Shave your eyebrows, color them in. Dye your hair brown. Plus you're in Hawaii. There are Japanese people everywhere. If you don't feel like you fit in Hawaii, where do you feel like you fit in?

+HEY JOE! What Do You Know? Thanks for saying that. I get what you mean. My wife (who's Korean) dealt with that when she moved to the US. But she dealt with when we were going to college in Kansas. She loves living near LA (Santa Barbara) because she now does not feel like an outsider, due to Californian diversity. She likes Hawaii more for the same reason. Sorry for my judgmental comment.

+HEY JOE! What Do You Know? Just remember, you are loved by people in many countries and all walks of cultures. You should not worry too much about people saying those things. Still sucks, but it is a part of being an American. Your experiences with that can be inspiring to those going through the same thing. Which is good!
