That feeling you get when your child isn't where they should be is undescribable.

It's that dread isn't it?. The rising panic seeming crippling. Going over hundreds of senarios by the minute. It is the worst thing that can ever happen. My son born on my Birthday when to heaven when he was 29. One day I said....the worse thing that could ever happen is to lose a child. Then I stopped and said....no dying without Jesus is. The Lord quietly impressed on my heart...go ahead and say it. Later I thought about how God gave his only son but the difference is he voluntarily gave his son for us. Such a love story. Thanks be to God for eternal life in Jesus. I will see Daniel soon.

Yes, I wonder about the mental state of detectives when they have hard cases and why they chose that profession. It is dark and how do they prevent from becoming the darkness. Viewing crime scenes and murder videos is not an easy task. I remember working in a nursing home and we had a fallen detective wo worked in security only during the night. He could not work daylight because he had an issue of scaring the office staff because they felt like he was mentally undressing them. During the night shift he stated that some times he wondered if he would find us all dead as he walked in making his rounds on the premises.

@janedoex1398
@janedoex1398 2 года назад
You should have met one of my pet rats, Holmes ( yes like Sherlock Holmes) He was always more interested in humans than other rats, though found in a garbage bin with others. He was so forgoving. He would lick your hand like a dog after being pet. If he was roaming free in the kitchen floor during cleaning and feeding time or a stranger came in He would sit or tap on your foot to make himself noticed - even more if the fridge opened or he heard/ sniffed food being prepared and stand up to be picked up ( even to strangers though I only can assume been abused and been thrown away to DIE in the trash... ) If you picked him up he would stretch and slowly and calmly sniff your ears, nose, maybe play with your earrings or necklace. NEVER EVER BIT . He would occasionally nibble a finger after licking you - grooming each other is a way to say I love and trust you. I miss him horribly. All pet rats are prone to cancer due to them all have ancestors being lab rats..... Unless you breed - and kill or sell the "unwanted" colours/ fur patterns to be sold as live feeder rats ( even though feeding alive mammals is a crime and considered animal cruelty here ) or at best poisened with cabonmonoxide in a container full of their mates (just like a gas chamber), or just smashed over the head or get their necks snapped. A family will help a mother with their young. Aunts and older siblings will take care of the naked climbing out of the nest naked babies so Mom can get food and water and even take them in if Mom dies. They are very social, so it is also against the law here to keep just one. Some think their rat will bond with them easier, if there is only a human to interact. Consider being stuck in an often way too small room aka 20 square feet. A giant feeding you and cleaning your toilet. He tries to interact, but even if you scream he will only get annoyed that you don't do what he wants - despite not understanding the language. You would get numb, retreat and finally maybe either bite and get discarted ,given to a friend with a snake , or suffer some kind of Stockholm Syndrome which would likely please the human . " See ! We have such a great bond!" ....

The story draws on our fears of what horrors could be done to children, innocents in the ways of the world and makes the end of the tale that much more gruesome. I'd have thought they would have worked faster to check out a hot lead on a cold case.

The second sighting video took a while to reach the team looking for the original abducted kids (first week they stayed looking in the immediate area, then slowly expanding the search area to district-wide. The Piper being on foot made things harder to search for). And then of course, the rat migration news came several months after the original video.
@caty9995
@caty9995 2 года назад
@@ferisera being on foot and not being detected by anyone at all doesn't make sense. Plus the children after a week of not eating wouldn't be able too follow the Pied Piper. There's no way this guy could travel on foot of such a distance with starving kids and not be detected and stopped by people. Many holes in this story , also the story about the rats is out of this world. How could he carry big angry rats in his pockets ? Think about it. Time for a Reality Check here. What did he do? He fed them to his rats? There are a lot easier ways to feed the rats. When children are abducted it's mostly for the sex trafficking, some it's for their own depraved reasons and the children are usually never found. Again, it's not a true story but an old cautionary tale. Good luck.

Again these stories just makes people wanting to strangle these idiots , another sad case ( I know, time to stop ). But, a dirt bag had 18 DUIs, his last ? Cost a human life or maybe more in the other vehicle died , 19 ! DUIs !!!

I love the story. Also was it related to another story. I remember listening to a story about a woman playing the pipe I believe and peoples pets would go missing and she would hang like wind chime with or a replica of the pet i cant remember exactly but it reminds me of that story. Oh yeah and the reason why the woman who we believed was the bad guy agreed to making the charms or whatever they were was to get rid of the rats which had infested her neighbourhood. Does anyone remember that?

I’m a new subscriber. Just been listening to these stories for a couple months or so. I have chuckled, mostly, at the humor in the stories. Can’t say I’ve actually been afraid. But this one? I’m not done with it yet, but I’m totally disturbed. 😢

I don't like stories where children go missing or get hurt eaten so forth by creatures and humans just hits me differently. Yet I enjoy the stories I just hope the creature or monster in human form that could harm a child gets theirs in the end.

This story was incredibly hard to listen. I don't know what to say- if it was a good story or if it was simply too gruesome to even say anything to criticize it. As a parent, it was just horrific. Some stories are meant to stay in the imagination of authors.

Having a daughter myself this story hit hard. What's scary is there are people, no evil in human form, that can do these type of things to children. When these evil beings are caught they should not be protected under the same judicial laws as other criminals. There should be a separate judicial system set up specifically for crimes against children. One idea I have is for the government to find a large island, one that is so remote there would be zero chance of escape. For each conviction, take the guilty to the island via helicopter and drop them off. No boats so there can be no chance of them somehow overtaking it a using the boat to escape. The odds of a molester knowing how to fly a helicopter is going to be very low. And by some crazy chain of events one does, and also overpowers the pilot, trying to land somewhere without being picked up by radar will be zero. I'm all for doing food and water drops to this island because the real punishment for these sickos isn't death, it would be spending the rest of their life where they will never see another kid. You could say prison does that but they typically don't last long in prison, the other inmates don't like people who hurt children.

Basing the 'tall being' on ''Punch' was brilliant...if you know the ancient legend of 'Punch'...Punch is Punchinella is Punicello...and so on...back to Loki, 'Trickster'...and even further. In fact, the 'Pied Piper' is also loosely tied to 'Trickster', as he KNEW the town would not pay him to rid it of rats...or he would never have agreed to 'work for them' to start with...this is actually a 'new retelling' of an ancient story...a horrible story, based in lies, deceit and loss of innocent children...as 'payment'...

Excellent narration as always very very spooky bizarre creepy story. If just one thing that I wanted to point out. And this probably wouldn't matter to anybody else listening unless they have worked on or grew up on a farm. Molding hay produces an intense amount of heat and can burst into flames quite literally. This is why you never ever put wet hay into a barn. It has to lay in the field, it has to dry for a very long time. Before it can be bailed and put into the barn for the Winter. For this story it doesn't really make a difference but that was the 1st thing that I thought of when you said the hay was molding. I thought that whole barn would have burned to the ground lol. Anyway just a thought for the author. overall excellent story excellent narration thank you.
