As a night trucker, there is nothing like driving in between cities where the only thing on the road for miles is just you, the dark, and your cup of coffee you got about 60 miles back at a mom and pop truck stop you won't remember the name of. And let's not forget the creepypastas you listen to that keep you awake FAR better then the coffee. It's often those times that make being a trucker worth it. That is, until your truck breaks down out in the dark. We need more trucking creepypastas.

I'm only in 5 min. to the video & I read the comments for a few & read yours. It sounds really good till you mentioned the break down 😬. And that sounds really horrible scary. LOL. But the rest sounds Nice . A friend of mine mentioned that we should get our license & take to the road. They would drive till the law requires then I would take over. Sounded Iike a good plan but never did anything. Still sounds good but sadly they have passed on. So now that saying pops into my head about don't put off things till tomorrow thank you can do today. 🤷🏻‍♀️. Sill sounds adventurous tho .

I'd be worried the creepypastas might put me to sleep if I'd been driving 12 hrs now it's dark and nobody else is on the road. They help me relax and after one story I'm out.

@@Vanne-ug2ui sorry about your friend. Sorry for the late reply too. I didn't know anyone replied to my comment until a couple minutes ago. If you haven't already, I recommend you get your cdl. Being a solo driver or team driver is possibly one of the most interesting jobs you can do. Like anything else, it has its ups and downs, but my experience has been mostly positive.

I love how 'spider-bat' clicks into your vocabulary without a hitch. That's why I hope if I'm ever in a situation of intolerable heart-stopping horror you'll be somewhere in the vicinity. I'm prone to mindless panic when I'm buried in bat-spiders but you always make me see the funny side.

@@kimmystewart6959 It's going ok Kimmy. Just a week that seemed so out of focus and surreal a lot of it felt like a dream. Lot of funerals too which didn't sharpen my senses much. So I've been briefly out of the loop and would be mighty gratified if an omnipotent fairy of my acquaintance feels like telling me about any bladder-challenging stories I may have missed or anything near and dear to your heart. I'm tiptoeing back into the real world (not that there's anything unreal about funerals and what they represent) and can't wait to hear something - anything ! I know that's vague but I have a Twilight Zone vibe I'm eager to shake off. Like my Gaa gaa pee paw would say "The weight will come off if you shrug hard enough. You might even be survived by your child".

Yeah, I feel like he and a couple others have a higher standard for selections, both in regard to the story and the quality of writing. I think LH and Dark Somnium are probably the best in this regard. I check out Mr Creeps from time to time, and while he does have some really good ones, way too many just end up making me cringe.

@@michaelh9649 Check out Mr Black Pasta. He is the best. LH is my 2nd favorite to him. He just started doing narrations again after a year hiatus. Every story he's done is top notch. He's unreal. Also, I like Mr Creeps too, but he bombarded us with rules stories, Lol. I just couldn't do it. Dark Somnium is fantastic 👌.. make sure to check out Mr Black Pastas older stuff. He just restarted last week with 3 new stories, but go to his actual site and you can see all his stories. Have fun man!

Am I the only one who kinda felt bad for the Yeti? He's the last of his kind on a paranormal road filled with eldritch spiderbats and an elder god; And he only really survives off those who also ended up on this road. He did seem very melancholic about his situation. At least now he's with his yeti kin in the afterlife..

One of the best stories!!! Not only it had a happy ending. It also had the hint of uniqueness in it's plot. I love how the protagonist encountered different levels of fright from different monsters of the night. (woah that rhymed lol) I thought this would be a typical driver who encounters a monster and boom end of story. I was wrong and it's worth the time I spent listening to this. I would've gotten bored if I read it myself. So thanks, Stephen! You're great 😄💯✨

Okay so... as a trucker, I've never heard of truckers referring to tunnels as anything other than tunnels. Not really sure where that came from. Oh, and I would never, never take a small, winding Mountain Road in the middle of the night during the winter. Especially if there was winter weather in the area. If the interstate was shut down, I would just stay at the truck stop. Better to be late and Alive than dead.

i grew up in ozark county and still live within an hour of it. Love hearing stories about my neck of the woods. i do take exception with the phrasing he used though as "ugly missouri woods" is an oxymoron. as boring as it was growing up i cannot deny the absolute beauty of where i get to call home. It could do with some more diversity sure but all in all it's a good place. Edit: literally in ozark county, Missouri, by the way. Some people like to say the ozarks but there's only one ozark county.

I might, at the first indications of disaster - hell, even instead of trying to negotiate the "dead zone" - have pulled over, gone to sleep and continued my trip in the morning. Perhaps, at least, have turned around and gone back for a second cup of coffee after the spider-monster had attacked me through the window?
