The guy there to fix the tires is awesome. Maybe he‘s not soldier, with a gun, on the front lines, but every war effort needs the support and resources from non-combatants who specialize in services like he is providing. Kudos to him and everyone else out there volunteering their lives.
@@rusty2629 I saw that video, this is why I became worried. All this international volunteering thing is unclear. Moreover, if you volunteering for a year, how you supposed to cover your bills? In case of severe injury and wounding, what's the status in home country? Etc, etc... Many unanswered questions arise for non Ukranian people that want to volunteer and give a hand in the international effort to save the free world
Support personnel are most needed if you are a mechanic or a machinist or an electronic technician and want to help your skills are needed more than your limited ability to bear arms...

I would be there right now if I didn't know that, at my age and in my health, I take up more resources than I can contribute. I have friends that are there now who are not there for the money. Even if you believe money WOULD be an incentive, you wouldn't see many from the U.S. or Canada going simply because it's easier and safer to make MORE money here at home. It's really asinine to suggest Americans would be there "for the money". You have a very cynical view of other human beings, which suggests YOU would only be there for the money. My friends father is 70 years old, and served in the Vietnam war. He has volunteered to go to Ukraine. He Is an engineer, and is very versed in Soviet aviation technology. They are thrilled to have him

My both grandfathers and all my elder relatives, even some women, were in the front 4-5 years in two wars fighting against Soviet Russia. Almost every finn have war veteran grand-daddies and grandmas who served in the Lotta-Swärd couple of decades, in the front taking care of the dead finnish soldiers and in the other quite horrible situations. We have never given up our mandatory military service for all the males and have had a strongest military in Scandinavia for a long time. We have always had only one possible and unfortunately also actual enemy in the world. Russia, Russia, Russia. That's sad because there's so much in the russian culture and the people we the finns and all the world too have always loved and admired. And will love and admire, even though Putin and the other crazy dictators of Russia have always tried to destroy, destroy all the beauty of their country and the soul of the true Russia.

President Zelensky has made all foreign recruitment efforts OFFICIAL through all of the Ukrainian Embassies through out the world. The embassy will take care of the paperwork, visas, transportation, etc. All one has to do is get in touch with The Ukrainian Embassy.

As an American I am so proud of our Canadian brothers as well! I have never met a Canadian I didn't like and support your guys as well as our guys along with every other volunteer both men and women who have the courage to stand up and follow their conscience to go help! When talking about the insanity of this war I often use the USA and Canada as an example. Our culture and people are so similar! This is how the people of Ukraine and Russia have historically been. Family on both sides fighting one another. Not because they want to, not because they understand why. All because one old fool, a relic of an all but forgotten age, has decided that it should be.

Not many know just how hard it is to repair vehicles that break down in a contested zone and with minimal parts. It takes a mechanical mind with a good knowledge fabrication, electronics, hydraulics, pneumatic systems are all used in military vehicles. Some can be downright impossible to actual fix and knowing how to bypass damaged systems to keep the fight moving. I am a former US Marine who rolled through Kuwait into Iraq in 2003. We had to leave humvees that either broke down or was disabled by enemy fire because we were freeking hauling ass to get to Baghdad. When we were secure enough in established AO, we went back to get our gear back and the locals had already stripped em down to bare frames!! It was simply amazing how fast they had tore apart our trucks! But that is war. These US Marines that are in Ukraine make me goddamned proud to have earned our Eagle Globe and Anchor 22yrs ago!! Damn, if I could physically be a Gunslinger again, I would head to Ukraine. I wonder what qualifications are for Ukraines Foreign Legion?
@@ANHTUAN_ART I CAN NOT deny your statement! I personally could not see a reason to invade Iraq. However, where we were sent was out of mine and every other Marine's hands. What actions my body performed were under my control. I sleep peacefully at night and hold zero regrets about anything I did or any harm I brought upon others. Because I made damn sure my targets were wielding weapons, and were trying to kill me or my Marines. That was my first tour during our initial invasion. Our government blundering around in Iraq's government and politicians led to the prolonged fight against insurgents. Also was part of the catalyst for creating isis, and the Iraqi civil war between Suni and Shia sects of the Islamic region. Honestly we really DID NOT want to be over there as bad as the Iraqis DID NOT want us there. In 06-07 my unit was trying to fight and quell the insurgency within the population. During this time we (my unit and my Marines) were doing and pushing our best and then some. all in order to protect the everyday average Iraqi, the innocents and/or the people inside our area of operations. Those trying to live their lives on an urban battlefield while being subjected to slaughter and torture by their own damned neighbors. War is not a good vs bad scenario. Never is the reason and justification for bloodshed between opposing forces ever a clearly seen line separating black and white actions. I made a couple of damn good friends from some of those same people we tried like hell to protect!

I served at Philadelphia Naval Hospital. I saw what war brings home. I have never forgotten those wounded both physically and mentally. Hello, I am 60 years old, and I am a professional welder. If I had the means to help with my skills, I would. However, I am disabled and cannot contribute in that manner. Recently, I watched a documentary about the fact that Ukraine, after the collapse of the USSR, had 1,270 warheads that were on intercontinental missiles, as well as over 1,000 warheads of medium-range bombs and tactical shells. All this Ukraine transferred to Russia by agreement with the world community, including the aggressor of Russia. We were promised the protection of our sovereignty. And at the same time we were deceived now we are not given free fly zone over our country. A little ask for the fact that we were left without nuclear weapons! We are ready to fight Until the last breath for our native land, our native Ukraine, but at the same time we ask Western countries to help us with weapons and provide air defense with force! Glory to Ukraine!
I'm all for Ukraine's independence but people gotta understand a no fly zone escalates this situation to a very likely nuclear conflict. Do we think Russia is just going to go home with their tail between their legs if NATO started shooting down Russian jets, I think not. A lot is being done to help Ukraine a lot of the foreign volunteers are actually active SPECIAL OPs from the U.S. and other countries being inserted under the guise of being civilian volunteer's, I think more could be done but where is the line, Putin already considers the U.S. as an active participant in the war
If it were up to me, the first jets would be taking off in a few minutes. No, they would have taken off two weeks ago. I don't believe in appeasing Putin. It isn't up to me. Right now it's up to weak, timid and confused people in Europe and in the US.
@@uschurch , it's not about being timid, it's about preventing WW III. Nobody wins if that happens. Ukraine becomes nothing more than a parking lot and a lot of innocent people die because of a narcissistic psychopath that has access to nukes and feels like a cornered rat with nothing to lose against many western countries. The Ukrainian people deserve to be free and all the help they can get from the west, but WW III must be prevented at all cost as well. It is a delicate situation.
I live in US & we agreed, with UK & Rus to respect '94 borders of Ukr. Rus broke agreement in 2014 taking Crimea & Donbas. Nothing happened except sanctions. This was a greenlight for Rus to invade the whole country so they did. Did we forget WW2 so quickly? The cost to confronting mad dictators increases the longer you wait.
US should declare war to russia. They should send their troops to russia. USA strong enought to fight against russia. And Europe will join too. So later we can see how nuclear war in europe

Now Russia wants to treat Ukraine as it was when Ukraine was a federation of the Soviet Union before, but now it's different, because Ukraine is not a part of the federation of the Soviet Union or Russia anymore. Ukraine was already independent when the Soviet Union collapsed in 1991, and became an independent country with no ties to Russia or NATO. Ukraine can actually be free to choose to enter Nato or remain neutral. Russia actually has no right to regulate and even invade this already independent country. Now Russia is just like a neighbor begging to beg Ukraine to keep his country safe from Nato attacks if Nato wants to attack Russia later. But look at the many countries that broke up from the Soviet Union that have entered NATO, none of them have the aim of fighting Russia, their goal is to enter Nato because they can't stand the dictatorial and communist leadership of the Soviet Union, not to fight Russia (Unisoviet). They couldn't grow up to be successful, but Russia as the leader of the Soviet Union at the time, was the only one who was successful and was free to be so ruthless with them.... The main point here is that the purpose of the establishment of Nato was not to fight Russia but during world wars 1 and 2 many countries in Europe fell into poverty because of the long war and the goal of Nato was established so that they could succeed together, build a business together, not the goal to attack Russia. However, because the ideology of the Soviet Union (Russia) was very different from that of the European Union, the Soviet Union (Russia) thought that Nato was founded because Nato wanted to defeat Russia in various fields, both economic and military. Whereas Europe built Nato only because they wanted to rise from poverty because world war 1 and world war 2 made a lot of losses and their economy was in chaos. The feeling of jealousy of the Soviet Union (Russia) was getting worse when the Union of Soviets collapsed but the unity of Nato was getting stronger. That's also because Nato adheres to a Liberal ideology while the Unisoviet ideology is Communist. The great jealousy of Russia towards NATO is what is called the "Freeze War" , but NATO and Russia are not really at war. If NATO followed Russia's dictatorial leadership style, they might have gone to war, but Nato chose to remain silent and saw Russia's jealousy just being jealous of the Nato economy growing well and Nato's unity was also getting stronger while the Soviet Union did not.
Remember one thing: war is hell. God does not take sides, particularly with that power (Kiev) which has been involved in protracted bloodshed in the Donbas since 2014.

They are not volunteers, they are mercenaries who gets paid three times the average soldiers and does not get the benefit of being taken as prisoner of war if they are capture. Many of them will die and those that went there for an adventure will regret.

Ukraine needs all the help it can get. Those who fight for Ukraine are hero's & are on the right side of justice & freedom, against an evil & wicked Russian empire of injustices & oppression of it's own people. Most of the people joining the fight don't actually know any of the politics behind this. Go look up the Minsk agreement II. The Ukraine has done multiple things that they directly said in that agreement that they wouldn't do. More than likely there just stupid war hungry soldiers that never made it in the actual army and were probably dishonurably discharged for being shoot first ask questions later kinda people.
