That's super sweet of you to think of them. They do work themselves hard, but they love what they do and love making things for their fandom (Stay). Backdoor is in reference to another song of theirs thata musically different from gods menu, but such a bop. You are a fun reactor! Your nails rock btw.
God's menu and Back door are part of the same concept so I'd go with that one next. Easy is also a great song, along with Thunderous. But honestly, their discography is huge. Don't skip Oddinary, it's an amazing album to listen to as a baby Stay in my opinion.
honestly I agree, Oddinary seems like the perfect introductory baby stay album. It's fairly short but covers a lot of different styles they like to sing and every song is pretty and amazing~! (to be fair, I don't think there's a song that I don't like of their discography, but Oddinary seems the easiest to digest for baby stays. ^-^ )
They do have making vids for their MVs which are pretty interesting, they never seem to be disrespected and although they sometimes mention that they are kinda tired because of the long shoot (I think God’s menu was a three days to shoot? But don’t quote me on that) they always seem upbeat and happy to be there.
yeah you can trust stray kids will always try and find something fun to do on filming sets they're so chaotic and energetic they're funny as hell too lmao so if you ever got time to check the behind the scenes videos i'd love to see your reaction to them :)
You would one thousand percent like "Thunderous" I bet. Please react to more!! You're so entertaining to watch and you've hardly scratched the surface of Stray Kids. I'm excited for you haha - I wish I could learn about them all over again!
him: mentions ADHD Han: appears onscreen "Du-du-du" is a Korean onomatopoeia that gets used for various percussive sounds. In some cases (like the oft-referenced "Ddu-du Ddu-du" by BP), it's gunshots -- SKZ even used it that way when they made the legendary "God's Ddu-du Ddu-du" mashup. But in the case of "God's Menu," it's actually the sound of a knife hitting a chopping board. Like most SKZ MVs, this one is a sensory overload; it's impossible to catch everything (audio, visual, lyrical) the first time around. But if/when you rewatch it (or watch the dance practice or Studio Choom shoot or whatever -- something that focuses on dance), keep a close eye on the details of the choreo. It's all based on cooking-related movements/references -- tossing food from a pan, mixing food in a bowl, chopping things on a cutting board, sprinkling seasoning, presenting platters, etc. You should be safe from awkward "du-du-du" moments while driving. It's worth noting, though, that SKZ use sirens in a lot of songs, and that one legit messes with many of us because we'll be driving along and suddenly hear sirens coming up on us. If you indeed like songs that tend to switch between or noticeably mix genres/styles, SKZ should be a great match for you. That's one of the most well-known characteristics of their music. Some are more subtle than others, but it's a very common thing. "Voices," "My Side," and even "Freeze" and "Maniac" are a few wherein they do it deliberately abruptly, but it's a trait woven throughout their entire discography. Ohp... OK, you secured my ongoing viewership with the D&D reference. I recognize my people when I stumble across them. (Surprisingly, Han is the bard who'd roll to seduce a door. Felix would be, like, a saving-everyone-through-cuddles-is-my-calling cleric but have stupidly high CHA for no reason.) It took about two days to film this (we get what are called "making films" for most of the main MVs, including this one, so we watched the process). But yeah, pre- and post-production took a lot longer. (If you're interested, the making film is ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-T6fJToadJ4o.html. These behind-the-scenes bits are a fun way for new people to get a quick glimpse of the duality of SKZ's onscreen vs offscreen personas. In the case of "God's Menu" [and later, "Scars"], it's also the only way to see more than a heartbeat of screentime for Lee Know.) "Back Door" at the end is a teaser for the title track that came next. The two MVs are meant to operate as something of a pair. No, not all of their songs are like this, simply because they're at over 150 songs now, and they're an experimental group that deliberately eschews getting locked into one sound and instead prefers to use music as their playground. That said, all of their songs do nonetheless have an unmistakable _something_ that makes them all obviously SKZ, and the title tracks, yes, tend to be in varying shades of big and hard-hitting in some way, as that draws attention for the rest of the album.
Whenever Changbin starts off a song you know it's going to be a banger 😂 I loved your reaction! I'm happy to see you exploring more stray kids! I agree with the other comments recommending Thunderous and Backdoor. (Side note, I love your nails 😊)
I have heard stray kids music being described as "tunes for adhd" because in a single album they are all over the place. They cover so many genres and styles. It's so entertaining and fun. Welcome to Stray kids baby STAY. ❤❤❤
I also have ADHD and Stray Kids is THE BEST group for that. I never get bored with their music and videos.. and all the other content they have. My favorite song is Side Effects. It just feels so good in my brain whenever i listen to it. 😅
5:30 Reliable Talent plus Proficiency in Charisma = Lee Felix Yongbok Both Felix and Bang Chan are from Sydney, Australia, so if you are charmed by his deep voice, get ready to hear the Aussie accent in interviews. EDIT: They are also amazing lyricists and fortunately, all their Korean releases include English subtitles directly on the M/Vs! Their Japanese M/Vs won't have subtitles generally due to different distribution and copyright laws in Japan.
Thank you for your awesome reaction. If you like ANIME!! Did u know The opening song “TOP” and ending song “Slump” for ANIME Tower of God is sung by Stray Kids. SLUMP is also sung as a FIRST TAKE as well as “SCARS” AND “OH” and latest “Lost me” But Definitely watch Back Door next as it follows into Gods Menu and then Thunderous 💚🫰 Thank you for reacting to the SKZ and boy oh boy are you in for a treat 💚
Since you are probably going to watch this MV again, try putting on subtitles, when you are ready :) Or watch a lyrics video, there are some great ones where you can also see who sings which part etc. Straykids write and produce their songs themselves, and there are often some GREAT lyrics. But since the music videos are almost always pretty intense, I feel it is not always possible to appreciate both lyrics and MV and music at the same time in the first viewing. I love Stray Kids, but they can be a bit overwhelming (in the best way) 😉❤️ Love your reaction to them. Please do more 😊😊😊 (Love your nails).
Take the deep dive. They are never the same, so if you feel you want something anthems, R & B, rock, rap (in so many sub genres), EDM, a ballad, pop, Stray Kids has something for the mood. Every album/mini album/EP/comeback will be different. My suggestion (many may not agree) is to take the most current and pair it with something older. That way you won't be aslee.FYI, rumor has it that we're getting another comeback release in the next 3 months and they just dropped 3 albums within the last 4 months! That's A LOT of content! My suggestions (just cross off what you've already covered): Anything off Maxident (M/Vs, dance practices, dance relays, performances) All of Oddinary in any format (M/Vs, dance practices, dance relays, performances ) Circus M/V All M/Vs from NoEasy MAMA 2020 performance MAMA 2022 PERFORMANCE GOLDEN DISC AWARDS 2023 PERFORMANCE AAA AWARDS 2022 PERFORMANCE Kingdom Legendary War performances Top and Slump MVs Scars performance vid It's a lotto absorb, but it's great!
YAAAAS! Another great reaction! I can't say that ALL of their music sounds like this, but its is their signature style (mala taste genre). Sometimes the go for more rap/trap vibes or ballads, but oh boy! They have range! They really like music and since SKZ is a self produced group, they can basically experiment with anything they like, but you can always sense their style in each of their songs (music and lyrics mainly) You will not be dissapointed.
Yay more stray kids reaction, I absolutely love your reaction. What you’re feeling we tend to call the ‘Felix effect’, good luck😅 he’s the one who got me to look into stray kids more but honestly they’re all absolutely amazing and Lee Know became my bias and Felix is my bias wrecker.❤ if you’re interested in them and going to listen to more of their music I highly suggest watching an updated guide on all the members so you can get to know each of them better! Thank you for the reaction 😊
You’re definitely feeling the effect of our sunshine boy Felix! You said you really like genre switching so skz are definitely the group for you! A couple suggestions: fam (Korean version has subtitles and it’s basically an introduction song that tells you a bit about them), back door(a slightly more jazzy continuation of gods menu storyline), side effects (first trance edm song in the kpop scene), venom (really cool beat but warning for spiders), and their most recent title track the sound (Japanese release so no subtitles but really cool song)
If you really like them, I recommend watching a guide video next. It will help you get to know them and tell you about how they are 99.98% self produced. I think learning about them more will make the music hit different. Keep them coming! ❤
If you get into the lyrics as well that's another whole experience itself. I love Stray Kids, They have music for everyone, Bang Chan is a genius coming up with all the tracks. Han, Changbin and now Hyunjin are amazing songwriters. there is so much to know about them individually and how amazing and talented they are.
I could recommend many or all of their music... but honestly you can just search Stray Kids and pick any song and you'll like it. I do suggest doing a Stray Kids Guide after listening to at least 5 of their songs. Recommendations: Maniac Back Door Thunderous Venom Easy Case 143 M/V To begin with... Good Luck😊🖤
Gracias por tú reacción a Stray Kids, la Amé!!. Y todos te entendemos, Amamos a Félix. Espero ver más reacciones tuyas de los niños. Saludos desde Chile
Well I think that sealed the deal, welcome to STAY, the fanbase of Stray Kids! Glad to have you here lol. Yes! We can definitely do more. They have a HUGE amount of content everything from rap songs to stunning vocals, live performances, competition performances, interviews and SO SO many behind the scenes videos and compilation videos. Seeing your adoration for Felix (he's our Sunshine for a reason, he is easy to adore) you may want to start with some compilation videos like the Duality of Lee Felix's Voice which will showcase his range. For songs I recommend Back Door, Thunderous, Cheese, Maniac, Venom, The Story That Doesn't End live performance (sometimes called Neverending Story) Easy, Miroh, Victory Song and any of their Kingdom performances particularly I'll Be Your Man and God's Duuduuduu (I likely spelled that wrong and apologize) though the Kingdom ones are hard to edit for youtube copyright just fair warning. These guys are absolutely fierce on stage and absolutely chaotic and loveable dorks off stage. They are very close and as you get to know the group you will see each pair of members have their own dynamic. Example Felix and Chan are so relaxed and happy together. They are both from Australia and you can see how relaxed they get that they have inside jokes and can speak in English. Chan takes on a very cheerleader type role with Felix when he is insecure. Whereas with Changbin, Chan tends to be more childlike and poke fun. Felix and Han are together called the Sunshine Twins and are the mood makers of the group and they are chaos incarnate. To know this whole group is to love them and I cannot wait for you to dive deeper.
"Dee dee boop boop!"... Nailed it! 🖤 Lol Also, if you like music with genre flips and beat changes... Then there's a very good chance that you'll love a lot more of what they have to offer. Just be warned, theres a good chance that once you get sucked down the rabbit hole, you will indeed be here to STAY. Of course, it doesn't lead to wonderland... But you will wonder why it took so long to find SKZ! 🤭 Look at us... You, flawlessly mimicking that melody. Me, with my VERY ORIGINAL and NOT AT ALL dad like hilarity. 😎 (← That's us! 🖤 Lmao)
You’re my new favorite reactor! I subscribed for your Stray Kids journey- it’s gonna be killer watching you realize just how exceptional they really are. ❤
Definitely more Stray Kids please! So fun to see new people discover and enjoy them as much as Stay does! I won't recommend any other songs as others have already done a great job of recommending songs for you to react to. Honestly they don't have a song I don't like, you cannot go wrong with them. MV, live performance, dance practices, special performance videos, self made street versions, anything.
YES!! Do more stray kids! I love watching people fall in love with them 😂❤ there’s so much content and nothing disappoints!! Also watch the most recently updated Guide to Stray Kids, they are so unique and so talented and learning their story will definitely help you appreciate them that much more. 👏🏻
"can we do more?" of course king, read the comments, stray kids has a LOT of amazing and different genres of MV, performances, skz-player, live performances, dance performances, funny chaotics moments (they're such a characters), welcome to stayville, you'll have fun for months
Thank you loved the reaction. The choro for this song is not mimicking guns but a chopping board. All their moves have to do with cooking since the song is called Gods Menu. It is a metaphor of how stray kids makes one of kinds songs that non one can copy. Since they are self produce they build their songs (construction scene), They experiment with sound (lab scene), they cook it up (kitchen scene), and they get ahead in the race (race cars). Most all of their choro in their songs will have movements to match the lyrics. Stray Kids have all kinds of songs. Hard hitting, in your face and some that will make you cry or dance. They do all types of songs. they are never lacking in the energy driving songs for sure. Back Door is another great m/v that was completed after Gods Menu. I also think you will like Victory Song performance m/v because Felix starts the song and it has some of the best beat drops. Miroh m/v, Side Effects m/v and Easy are also very good. Heck they are all good songs. LOL Love the nails.
Do more Stray Kids reactions please. It's super fun watching you react to them. All songs are worth a look, but I recommend the "Oddinary" album - I can't choose the best song from it, so let's start with the title track "Maniac".
I love the musical transitions and the delivery of the guys in this song. The message is so empowering and true to them as people and as artists. I'm so glad you are enjoying their sound... there is certainly A LOT of content to react, let alone songs. Don't get overwhelmed by the comments and suggestions Just watch whatever you feel like, there's not a right or wrong way to make the journey. STAY will enjoy and appreciate your reaction and caring for the kids.
I also have adhd but that’s why I love their music videos :D they have so many different elements that you can just go back and watch them over and over and focus on something new each time!
If you like Felix that much, you can react to his song "deep end" from their skz replay album. There is no to music video to it, but it really showcases his versatility and it's all in English. Be prepared for a good cry ^^
i lost it when u paused and went to felix and went "look how pretty he is!" literally my same thoughts watching it for the first time 😂 they have a HUGE range of types of music they do, ive personally been watching their "first take" videos on repeat since they go in and do a song all in one shot haha. highly recommend!
"just like when you roll a nat20 in dnd, its just perfect" I love that reference! Also yes i agree, their music is addicting and i get you with the ADHD thing, i feel like their music is really intense and sometimes the MV just hits you with different scenes and location all the time so my ADHD brains is constantly fed and their MVs and music somehow matches my brain pace. Highly suggest Side effects for that pace too it's a cool song. They also did music for Tower of god and thats called Top and slump. For slump i suggest you check out slump- first take its the Japanese version and they sing live in only one take. They do swich up their genres a lot in their music and mostly self produce their music. Hope you continue reacting and listen to their music!
My adhd thrives on stray kids music If you really wanna go for a ride, there's a playlist of Stray Kids mvs in order (of release), there's story lines and Lore that thread through them all But if you want the hype stuff now, side effects, backdoor, venom, maniac, thunderous and freeze top my list Get cool is more of a silly favorite but I'd still encourage
Welcome to StrayKids.... Welcome to the rabbit hole. I love StrayKids since pre-debut era and I really like your reactions to them. Can't wait to see more. Maybe you'll like to react to the guide teanosuga made... it's the best way to get deeper into them. Song recommendations: victory song, easy, district 9, all in, any, side effects, double knot, cheese, and all the other good stuff.... StrayKids never disappoint.
funny enough as someone with audhd skz are the only group of ppl I can follow through with very little mental side quests because of how insanely all over the place they are as people (they have a lot of content out there) their music also scratches that specific part of my brain really well
Skz has a vast discography which spans a few dozen genres and counting not including the songs that have been rearranged (typically by Chan as far as I know) for various performances and even competitions. While I understand getting overwhelmed between the sounds, visuals and scenes I would highly recommend at least looking at the lyrics either before or after the video if you decide against the CCs or watching it twice, with focus on first one then the other in order to get the full experience. A lot of their Choreo ties into the lyrics, like the du du du du du du and tang tang tang tang is actually a reference to them chopping things (sounds) and adding seasoning (tang) to their music. Their transitions are also amazing for their songs like this one in particular and tie in with the lyrics and/or the choreo. Their lyrics can also be extremely deep and they touch on a lot of topics including mental and emotional health like anxiety, depression, loneliness, broken relationships (of any kind), etc. Welcome to STAYville!
i know how you feel when Felix stare into your soul.. he has that effect.. so you dont wanna check Your Eyes and There MV because it is from viewers POV, you will have to have 911 on speed dial, Chan would be mad if you get hospitalized.. so get ready lol and yes, im up for all the reaction including whatever cross your mind when watching! i love their fashion too! and of course their chaotic personality. this is fun reaction!! i would watch you losing your mind to stray kids kkk
Can't wait for more from you, on my side would definitely recommend a live they did that was inspired by Deadpool and was a cover of Blackpink called "God's Dududu". would love to see you react to one of their main dancers Hyunjin who choreographed a piece to the song "play with fire" and it blew fans away cause he'd just returned from hiatus. It gives how's moving castle meets angel prince.🤣
Thank you so much for give SKZ a Chance!! I am so glad you love them so much!! Please do moreeeeee they have all kinds of songs and i think they do amazing on every genere ✨🌟🫂🌟✨
you def should look more into them, their music is so good, and they produce and write it mostly by themselves. they have other songs with this kind of energy but then also have songs that have so much meaning to them. highly recommend you keep looking into their music and content (they are hilarious and chaotic)
Ahh that's a slip-up on us Stays' part!! Did we forget to let you know to turn on the captions when watching Skz?? 🤦♀️🤦♀️ Lol yes they have an AMAZING sound, but what solidifies Stray kids as an incredible band for me is the message in their lyrics!! So many of their songs encourage self-acceptance and call for celebration of what makes us individuals- no matter what society thinks. Skz is not afraid to write songs about mental health, and feel their music should be honest, so that Stays all around the world can feel seen/represented! So please, next time turn on the captions and take a little time to read what those gorgeous boys are singing about 🤗💗💖💝
I don't know which song I would recommend because they have a lot of songs and they are all bangers. But if you want to see a bit more of Gods Menu, they have a Studio Choom performance video where you can see more of their dancing skills. Or also Back Door, wich is conected to Gods Menu. Thouderous is one of my favorites, but I highly recommend it after watching the "NOEASY" Thunderous Trailer. Maniac, Christmas Evel and Venom are amazing too. I really enjoy your reactions. I became a new subscriber. See you
I loved your reaction. You are so cute and relatable - especially regarding Felix ❤ Please react to more Stray Kids! They are amazing artists and funny, quirky guys. Oh, btw Felix is a gamer 😊
YAY! More Stray Kids! 💖The whole album Oddinary is awesome! Felix is the one that will catch your eyes and ears, but the others will soon follow. Maniac was the first song I fell in love with and has now been my ringtone for many many months. 😂 I loved your reaction!! Excited for more!
not all of their songs are like this (they like experimenting with genres and trying out different sounds), but this is the kind of sound they are known for.
Have you ever heard of Dreamcatcher? They’re a female Korean group with a rock influence for their title tracks. A lot of their songs tend to sound like anime intros. I’d recommend “BEcause” for a first impression but they don’t have a bad song.
I know what you are saying about Kpop entertainment companies working their artists beyond what is humane, and some of the stories I’ve heard about what Stray Kids company has done to some of their girl groups and specifically Twice would fall into that category. However JYP is notorious for micromanaging their girl groups and leaving their boy groups pretty much to their own devices. Which has been detrimental to some of their groups like GOT7 which were fed up with the neglect and ended up all leaving the company when their contracts expired. But Stray Kids seems to thrive on being self regulated. Their CEO Park Jin Young mostly let’s them do whatever they want and Stray Kids have turned out to be geniuses at managing themselves.
Oh yes, BangChan is most definitely gorgeous. Fun fact... That curly hair of BangChan's, that you always seem to pick up on every time he has it like that. Haha. That's actually bis NATURAL hair. I know right, a South Korean with curly hair. Wild and beautiful... Same as him.
You SHOULD listen Red Lights and more important thing is you should watch the mv... And if you wanna listen only Felix you can check his solo "Deep end"
Their discography is very diverse - well over 40 different types of genres; a wide range including hard hitting songs, R&B, slower songs, ballads, rap heavy, etc. Though they have said they like trap, boombap and EDM a lot. They do have subtitles if you were interested in the lyrics (very good lyrics), however the Japanese songs do not have subtitles on the MVs. Speaking of Japanese titles, along with the recommendations already given by other STAY in the comments, I would recommend Circus (starts off with beatboxing - I think done by Felix?) and The Sound. Both have MVs, but no subtitles. The MVs are great, but I would recommend also watching a lyric video for translation or reading the lyrics before or after. Earlier discography shouldn't be ignored either. Most STAYs say they found their sound when they did God's Menu, but I enjoy their music before it just as much as what came after. Pre-debut song - Hellevator is still one of my favorites. debut song - District 9. Other early songs - Awaken, Question, Insomnia, My Pace, Broken Compass, Placebo, N/S, I am You, Voices, Victory Song, Miroh, Levanter, Side Effects... and so many more. It would be amazing if you did album reviews.
Thanks for the great reaction♥️ I won't write out a long-ass list like I did in your last Stray kids reaction😅 (sorry that it was so long) but since you seem to love Felix I'll recommend checking out his solo song Deep End
I suggest you start from beginning, pre-debut Hellevator , debut District 9, and then work on from there, they have an extensive discography. My all time favourite so far is Freeze. And since you have been struck by the Felix-effect, Deep end might be a good choice, to be able to hear his amazing vocal range.
