I played and enjoyed all the swinging mods but then i removed all the mods and played the OG game again, now i can finally tell original swinging just hits different no matter how many mods you install.
honestly, I just think people who complain about the swinging not being fast or "punchy" enough just don't have a handle on it. Unless it's different on console?
@@PaulMab9 nah don’t even say unless it’s console. I can swing to and from and across the entire map on Spider-Man ps4 in 2-3 minutes ??? It’s very very easy to get a grip on it. Plus i think it’s obvious but without web zipping too. Just momentum and riding the wave pretty much. Swinging doesnt need to BE faster it just needs to FEEL faster and I think with SM2 coming to ps5 exclusively then it isn’t being held back by any limitations. We can judge how it’s gonna look and feel from GoW ragnarok but apparently it’ll look even better since it’s only on ps5 not ps4 and ps5 like ragnarok is. I just want them to add swinging with both hands by pressing L2 and R2. Like different left and right hand

I also thought they could have added some additional action graphics or motion lines when you're at peak speeds, or during stuff like finishers, could have pulled them straight out of the comics. (though they might have intentionally avoided that stuff, artistically) That, plus a variable camera zoom, maybe even slightly warp pov? You'd feel almost like a speedster on a string.
Hey man I just wanna say your graphics mods are just outta this world. I love just watching the videos you make just because it takes me back to what the TASM games should have been, even with the web slinging dynamics you have.
that was intended but the devs had to tone it down because of limitations of the ps4 console when it originally released. if they had made it faster, u would notice many parts of the city invisible and having to load in before you're eyes.
Game looks better than the movies. Marvels artistic direction has been getting worse and worse over the years. Its now reaching new heights of dullness.

to be honest i feel like expressive swinging only suits miles considering he is younger and less experienced etc and peter is older and more experienced so it makes sense for him to have less expressive animations
I’m sure insomniac has considered many ways to make the web swinging more fluid, physics based, and good feeling for SM2. after all, modders are simply tweaking with an already existing game. i’m sure insomniac is already miles ahead with their new swinging mechanics & system.
@@Aidan977 facts like if modders were so great they would be CREATING things but they arent 99% of the hottest mods for lets say Skyrim for example is a combat overhaul that literally takes Assassins Creed Valhalla Animations and throws them into Skyrim 😂🤦♂️ and it gets praised while Bethesda and Ubisoft get flack for "Copy Pasting" everything it makes no sense how delusional people are
Honestly I think the thing that makes it so satisfying is the speed of the base game had faster momentum and actual physics it would be perfect (obviously with more focus on animations from different situation during free running)
In my opinion, I wish web swinging were a bit more difficult. I wish the swinging was more limited when it comes to turning or moving around. Every time I swing, I always notice that my web line doesn't accumulate to where I'm going, and it doesn't seem to point to the direction that I want to go. And it seems that wherever I turn, the web line just doesn't look right as i go in the opposite direction, it makes it seem that I'm floating to wherever i want to go with the web line once it is attached to something. I wish the web line or the web swinging in future games take a more realistic turn and make it more difficult to achieve, that way we can have more of a challenge to swing around, have more fun, and develop skill. For example, Spider-man 2 for the Playstation 2. Best web swinging mechanics I've ever seen, if we incorporate that and upgrade it, Spider-man games would be 10x better. It's one thing to feel like Spider-man, but how about BE Spider-man.
When my day is done, or I’m bored af, I boot up my PlayStation, n swing around in Spider-Man or Spider-Man Miles Morales. The swinging is so immersive n relaxing in both those games. 💯💯
imagine if insomniac got the people who worked on The Amazing Spider-man to work on the swinging for peter in Spider-man 2. TASM swinging scenes were just absolutely amazing.
How amazing will it be if they create a videogame or animated series where they retconned the story of the 3 spidermans into one and only story combining all 3 peters and all 3 spiderman, personalities and appearance into one. Gosh.
I miss Peter's yells and his "Khh" when he shoots webs when he just flies in the intro of the second part. Of course, with age it might disappear, but it was so much fun 😂
I would be the Expert on backflips in this case I see that peter parker when he runs and jump from roof to roof i notice that he jump first and then flies instead the side web shooter he is using them one at time but do not let the fluid drain ❤❤❤

Meh, I hoped "swinging mod" meant more than a few animations. Heres my wishlist for Spider-Man 2 • Running along the ground when swinging too low • Physical webs that wrap around buildings, and if we can get quickspin fwips around lampposts, that would be amazing • No web auto release, enabling you to shoot a second web. • Web slingshot. (Let me play Angry Spiders) • Web climbing • Web cartridges That last one might be a bit controversial, but a quick animation, unlimited refills and you have an interesting mechanical wrench to throw in the player's well made swinging machine.
I'm not sure if it would require to be written in game engine but I need to have "realistic traversal" mod in my life! You now, swinging is very simple in this game even with the "realistic" swing mod, but it would be funny af if you reach the terminal velocity with Spider-Man and you head straight towards a building that he would splatter in the wall. Of course it would mess with the ability to start running on wall, but that would be something you need to push a button or else he'll splatter. Actually what I really want is him to go through the wall or building smashing the walls in between but that definitely has to be written in the engine and very thoroughly designed in the game. PlayStation, take notes! Now as I was writing this I envisioned whole pitch for new Spider-Man RPG. Peter Parker needs to keep a balance with the destruction and people's approval. If you as a Spider-Man, mess around too badly, it will have consequences. Police and the state can't take too much. It affects even Peter's personal life. In this game Spider-Man can hurt common people, but it will take Peter to a very deep place. You need to be really good and impeccable or go through hell. You'll probably not make it. Edit: Why did I start cultivating this idea? It would be near impossible feat to write such a complex game and better yet, get Marvel's approval for something like that lol. What I mean with complex is that instead of writing games like Fallout which has very deep and complex story lines and lore or Cyberpunk which has basically one story with very minor deviations in it, this one would actually have the main goal so hard to reach people need to git gud to achieve it. So most of the story happens in the other end of the web of story which is considerably easier to play through. Thinking in difficulty levels, that would be from "very easy" to "normal". It would have variations on how the story advances too. The main goal of the story arc would differ from the rest so much it's basically a different game. Especially towards the end. Main goal is to be the impeccable Spider-Man and keep Peter Parker's spirit. The other more probabe way is to differ from that path and go to the deep dark end. Optimally it would have few other routes too, closer to the middle gray area, which would be like the "hard" difficulty level in more general way of thinking game difficulty. So the better you play, the more you're rewarded.
Not sure if my pc will be able to handle the realistic graphics mod but man this looks absoluetly incredible I recently finished the game on pc and I can't wait to jump back into it a second time on new game+ when I finish some of my other games in my backlog.
I know it will never happen but it would be nice if spiderman has a wingsuit because when the buildings get low it sucks that you can't stay at the height you were at. I prefer Batman movement also prototype because of the gliding.
I hope no one else is as poor as me, I watch videos of Marvel's Spider-Man swinging and play Minecraft Java edition with the Fisk's superheroes mod just so I can feel how everyone who has played Marvel's Spider-Man feel
