I speak for all the staff that worked on eminence in shadow season 1, season 2 and the upcoming movie, this is legit one of the greatest light novel anime adaptations ever

You can debate which is the Best Isekai, but this series is undeniably the most fun isekai.

He literally meant what he said, he was going ALL OUT!! To cover the whole planet in his shield magic, then isolate himself with Modred before going nuke, wow!! Outrageous detail we almost missed.

Majority of light novels don't get a proper adaptation, only 86,mushoku tensei, that time I got reincarnated as a slime, re zero, no game no life and now officially eminence in shadow are the best light novel anime adaptations yet

When he said he puts her below Delta after saying that even animals know when someone is stronger, it is because Delta knew on sight that she couldn't beat Cid when she was first discovered with her possession. They didn't really go over it in the anime even though its well passed the chapter so I figured it'd be fine to say this.

Guy i am not gonna lie that this anime is a masterpiece and this episode made the story even more interesting. This anime deserves to be amongst the top anime series especially isekai genre.

Cid was saying that "even beasts are smart enough to realize when someone else is stronger" so he's calling Mordred even dumber than Delta. Not a compliment. In terms of raw combat strength the only ones stronger than Delta are Cid and Alpha, hence why Delta only follows their orders.

The original world (earth) was collision with the world where Cid Reincarnation to, the world brings magic power into the earth through the tunnel and Cid also reincarnation through the tunnel(maybe his soul get pass the tunnel? idk) Cid have talent with magic even he was in the earth(will be told in the future), but there was just no magic for him to dig his talent🧐 Back to the beginning, Cid actually really perceived the appearance of tunnel between the two world and the magic flow, that's why he became crazy and run to the source then hit by the truck That's why the original world changed after he reincarnation

Little Easter egg you kinda missed is that they used 1st season opening at the end of this episode

Now you can react to the openings of the two seasons, season 1's opening is actually the season 2 finale's ending song which was surprising. The song is called "HIGHEST" by OxT (if you watched Overlord, they're the same band) and season 2 finale's episode is called: "HIGHEST" after the song. Season 1's opening is very odd, and when you first watch it you barely understand a thing, because Shadow or Cid is barely in the opening (because he's in the shadows, duh) and it does show some things that you really wouldn't know at all about the show, and the light outfits in the first opening is only revealed in the 2nd season which is a bit spoilery- but i didn't give it any thought back in s1 when i didnt see it completely tbh. Not to mention s1 opening feels like its all in the future, which could be it and foreshadowing how advanced Shadow Garden will bring their world to modern world, although it could just be made up for the opening- idk since i didn't read the LN... But I heard that there are only 2-3 chapters LN that have been published after the movie arc, presuming each chapter is season-lengthed or a chapter and a half is a season-length... I don't know if they will be another season or even two after the movie, they might need to wait for more LN chapters to publish

When the time they get back to the Shadow world beta already learn Japanese language and many modern knowledge. Also spolier beta drag Akane to the Shadow world when they get back. I don't know if they will stick to this plot or change it in the movie cause as we see in this s2 ending, only shadow is the one that gets sucked to the black hole.
