I always thought that because Cid was so obsessed with the concept of magic and getting stronger, but remaining hidden, he, while being isekaied, accidentally made a world that bends to his will, it's why so many people and behaviors of said people are acting the way they are, because it's how Cid want's it to, reality is bending and manipulated on his impulsiveness to make Cid get his way no matter what this theory of mine would explain why so much has gone in his favor despite how silly it was

Sounds like the idea was just stolen from World Trigger. Connecting worlds making travel inbetween possible. But I don't know what is older. Most of the isakais simply just steal these days and aren't really original. While Eminence in Shadow is different as it's not a standard fantasy OP character, he is still very boring as a character and the fights are all really boring as well.

Think about this though by being isekaid his existence is all but removed from the timeline. But what is his ultimate goal?? To be the emminence in shadow!! So by being isekaid he is actually manifesting the perfect opportunity to return to earth as shadow! His path could have taken no other trajectory!

@@Toonamik I think what killed MCU is not really the Multiverse aspect but the Time Travel aspect where they can just go to past and do some bullshit to revive again, therefore, removing the "finality." Multiverse, in a vacuum, atleast from what I understood in this instance, is that there are just multiple worlds in the same plane that influence one another. Unless time is involved, then it's still better for me than MCU

Well no. Most isekai now don't even have the MC want to go back. Because these aren't normal get transported, it's reincarnated. This is their new world now. And why would they explain it? Magic, reincarnation, it already explained things because it's just based on reincarnation cycles and Buddhist realm logic. Something just known by most people in Japan and even other cultures with their own version like heaven and hell.

@@barefootjerryslamdown7237 the novel leaves it more ambiguous than that: pair of magic lights (eyes) or headlights or the the lights you follow to when one dies. Cid is an unreliable narrator so we are lead to believe it is his delusion. It was a play on words that did not translate to well into English and would be challenging to do in a visual medium. Never know we might get a flash back sequence. When I read it I got Blair Witch vibes.

But ye basically what I'm thinking is like world A and world B collide ... A moves faster to the next intersection because of the collision while B slows down and takes longer ... Now because of the desync they don't collide for much longer maybe even multiple rotations of world B ... But when they do collide world A slows down and B gets imparted with the momentum world A lost ... Aka they constantly swap time dilations

His name ring something. Kagenou was translate as shadow, cid was translate as Lord. So Kagenou Cid is "Lord Shadow." While Minoru translate as "To Bear Fruit" or equivalent to "In Training/In Progress". So Minouru Kagenou should be "To Be The Power in Shadow."

@@Flame-uo5mp it´s not that I find complex inherently better, it´s more that I find that simplicity to be a bad thing in this case, characters are simple, story wise it´s not really very deep (even if there are some things worth something as shown in the video) . and I overall find the quality to not be comparable, taste sure is subjective, but it´s hard to say that the quality while taking a lot of aspects into account isn´t lesser. comedy is ok for me but not great, the fantasy is not bad, but not more in depth or specially innovative. That´s sort of what I mean by simple, and I understand why people like the show, I like to watch it even If it won´t get close to a favorite.
