SHINEE is a kpop band that has been around for like 15 years so this cover was Iconic. Fan meets are big events vs fan signs which are very small. This one lasted 4 and a half hours and the Korean leg was 3 days, you have to buy tickets for it like a concert and they sang like a good hour and a half in different sections of the event. The song list changed a bit each day. This weekend they did 2 in Japan and at the end of the month there will be another one in Japan. If you haven't watched booster from the fan meet check it out, they had never done that song live even though it's super old so the choreo and everything is new. They also did District 9 and it was sooo amazing. They have evolved so much as singers and performers, to me the old version doesn't hold a candle to the newer one.
this song has been covered a lot, Stray Kids did the best cover imo. SHINee will celebrate a 16th anniversary this May, they are legends and inspiration to a lot of junior artists. i also recommend watching their original Sherlock performance from Tokyo Dome 2015, it's very iconic and much more impressive than the MV.
If you're not familiar with SHINee you should really give them a try, they are a simply AMAZING group with a vast range of sounds in their discography. I would recommend checking out Sherlock MV and live version, they are different since Clue and Nite are in fact two songs merged together to create Sherlock and they can be rearranged 😊
Welcome Back! The Fanmeeting was a wild event - they did 3 days at the largest stadium in Korea and sold out all 3 days on presale before the tickets went to general admission. Apparently Lollapalooza is selling out fast so I'm so glad you got tickets to see them. SHINee are the idols of idols (they celebrated their 15th anniversary not long ago). If there is a k-pop group, at least one member is a fan of SHINee and will claim them as inspiration to be an artist. Hyunjin is a huge fan of Taemin from SHINee. Taemin is known as one of the greatest dancers and performers in k-pop and both his work in SHINee and his solos are iconic. SHINee are also known for their vocals so SKZ coming out with this cover was not only to honor SHINee, but to flex their skills. If you liked Sherlock, I'd definitely recommend the original (it is very early 2010s coded). Some other iconic SHINee songs are: Replay, Lucifer, Don't Call Me, Hard, and Juice.
I followed the recommendation of a commentor on the post for this performance (because I have to admit I am completely unfamiliar with SHINee). So, if you search for Shinee Sherlock swc4, it will bring up a live performance of theirs that does have the subtitles! Another content creator posted an audio comparison (SKZ in 1 ear, SHINee in the other) and lordy were they basically dead-on rights. Felix was a bit lower on his part, not surprisingly! I also saw that there has been fantastic positive reviews from the SHINee fandom "Shawols" on how well SKZ's cover was, for them! I know I think they slayed!
I bought a virtual ticket (pretty much like pay per view) and I had to tune in to Korean time so the fan meeting event began at 4am-- this performance was after about 3.5hours of them performing and it was such a shock it woke me up!! Stays have been begging for them to cover this song and it was even better than I could have imagined. SHINEE is an incredible group, if you haven't yet Id see suggest you watch their performance of this. The OG music video is a little dated in terms of fashion lol but its iconic; but the 2021 stage performance (where they're dressed sort of like princes? Lol) its such a good live performance and you'll see how good of a cover SKZ gave us in comparison.
Please do yourself a favor and watch shinee perform this live. Every member has a phenomenal voice. Also watch some Taemin mvs! Yes stray kids did a great cover. I just would love you to check them out. Taemin is called idol of idols, also the youngest member of shinee. Best dancer I have seen.

I’m waiting for their world tour but scared it’s gonna sellout before I have a chance to buy the tickets. On a side note, I know you stopped reacting to BIGBANG but just to let you know that G-Dragon is officially having his solo comeback 2nd half of this year with a new album, world tour and a concert at the Sphere in Las Vegas. This means I plan on going to 3 minimum concerts this year, Stray Kids, GD tour and GD Sphere, we VIPs have waited 7 years. So maybe give GD and BIGBANG another shot by going to Dorian Gray’s channel for live performances before GD’s comeback.
Surprisingly no. The tickets were easy to get and the layaway program makes it easier to get better tickets and not have to pay a crapton all at once. And I was planning on getting back into some more gd. He's got a unique style. And thank you for the continued support

This is probably my top #1 live cover from SKZ. They always slay covers but this one was extremely exceptional! I'm so excited that you're going to see them live at Lolla! That's so freaking awesome! I saw them in Atlanta Mar 2023 for their MANIAC tour and it was literally the best experience of my life (I'm 44 and I've seen the likes of Michael Jackson, Mariah Carey, Linkin Park, KORN, Luther Vandross, Boyz II Men, Blink 182, and many many more live, etc). Straykids are by far the best performers ever! I honestly don't know how they do it. Their mics are always ON and you can tell even with the backing track and their incredible choreo! Wishing you the best, coolest, most fun experience of your life!❤❤❤ You better get your place early for Lolla bcuz I guarantee it'll be full of STAYs really really early. Hey, it's good to see you! The new studio is very nice. Maybe the camera is a little closer? You're a little far away now! I like Taemin from SHINee. He's a great dancer. I hope he will dance with Hyunjin together, and not only take a tik tok with him, they communicate well and both dance beautifully
