So it's a love song questioning marriage or long-term relationships basically. Du hast mich means "You have me." The full sentence, "Du hast mich gefragt und ich hab nichts gesagt." is "You asked me and I didn't say anything." What was asked? "Willst du bis der Tod euch scheidet Treu ihr sein für alle Tage?" ... "Do you want to be faithful to her every day until death do you part?" the answer immediately follows, "Nein! Nein!" meaning "No! No!"
@@StaxReacts Even if you just watch the Live in Paris version for yourself, DO IT! Fire! (Oh and lead singer is also a Pyrotech Master, so yeah - FIRE!)
Hit the live in Paris videos. Especially this one. Fireworks, Fires, treadmill with electric bolts directly to the keyboard dude. Crowd etc don't miss that one, no cap.
Till eventually learned how to actually sing right around the time they released Mutter. I was fortunate enough to see them in concert in a small club in '98. Absolutely stunning.
First time I heard this was on the original XXX with vin diesel, also if you rabbit hole deep enough there is a English version, but yes the live shows are like no other ✌🏼 to you Stax I appreciate ya 🍺
😂😂 oh you're in for one hell of a ride if you keep going down this DEEP and DARK rabbit hole. Not for the faint hearted! Prepare yourself! Please do! 🤘🤘
Du hast = you hate (you hate me). They are all from East Germany and had to practice in secret, as music was banned on the east side. They escaped eventually (back then, they would shoot on sight and ask no questions) I resided in West Germany when the wall came down, and the East side was a nightmare for the People there.
Just subscribed! Weird Al pulled me in, then Rammstein was a perfect choice lol Going back for the Linkin Park ones and System of a Down! I'd also love to see a reaction to Flogging Molly - "Drunken Lullabies" & more of their songs, cause it’s hard to suggest only one. 😅
This song always reminds me of the intro to CKY2K. If you want something crazy, weird, and interesting, check out the song "ieuD" by Igorrr. Also, check out the song "Hell" by Clown Core. It's insane! Thanx Stax!
Good choice bud!! These guys are definitely interesting. The title of the song is a German play on words, at least when spoken. "Du hast mich" gefragt means "you asked me", but the phrase "du hasst mich" means you hate me. Spoken they sound alike. Likely intentional on their part.
Yeah a lot of people like this song. I never got into it myself. But if you want German songs rock me Amadeus by Falco 99 luftballons I think by Nina sick of you by Gwar and Pop goes the world by men without hats
This is their radio friendly track. The rest of their stuff is way better than this. Also they are one of the best live performers ever. Their singer, Till is a professional pyrotechnic. If you want fire, go see Rammstein if you’re lucky enough. And yes they are German.
you should know they're extreme in the german poetry department, lots of double entendre and historical references. check out 'deutschland' that one will blow your mind. its probably not what you think, there are some long analyses of it explaining why the symbolism there makes sense. in a sort of visual double entendre they make you think one thing while referring to the other... i dunno man just check it lol the video is tight af. youll see a bunch of 'reeee racist' stuff but it just flew over their heads is all. i dont wanna blow your reaction but the mother of germany is dark skinned, as people of the region believed those with strong magical power were dark, like thor.
