I just ordered 4 of these. 48 degree S grind Opus Black. 52 degree W grind Opus Black. 56 degree W grind Opus Black and 60 degree Z grind in Opus Platinum Blue. I am really looking forward to trying these out!

Thanks for this your golf tutorials are the best. I tried the driver address video drill and after a year of driver slicing, I saw the video and I found some straighter and longer drives.

I just put graphite R flex shafts into my Vokey wedge set to get an even more soft feel. Looking forward to testing graphite wedges higher swing weight, soft feel. 130gram wedge shafts destroy my green side efforts, too rigid. No feel. I like 75-90 gram steel iron shafts in wedges. Feel is the shaft for me. Head second.

The main problem is the Platinum Opus wedges aren’t available here in Canada until early September and it’s only those new wedges that many golfers want to see, hold, and buy. If Callaway’s not seeing sales, it’s because the most desired wedges might not be available. Taylormade’s new Hi-Toe wedge release will definitely cut into Callaway’s sales.

I just got the Ai smoke driver and the shaft split where it bolts to the head. I didnt get more than 12 holes out of it and it never hit the ground. As a beginner im wondering if somehow its my fault or if its a factory issue. My friends were shocked when we noticed it.

Wow mate when was the last time you bought wedges. The Vokey and Ping s159 wedges are £169, seems to be the norm these days.

Too expensive. Clubs are getting way too expensive. 3 Opus Platinums in the US are $689.97. $229.99 each. What are they thinking. 3 are more than a driver and used less. I hit my driver on average 9 to 10 times a round. I hit all my wedges, not including the PW, 6 to 8 times a round. So with a 3 wedge set, say 52, 56 sand wedge and a 60, each would be hit only 2 - 2.666 times a round. Definitely not worth it. Even the Opus at $179.99 each or $539.97 for 3 is not worth it. Just think about this. They say your wedges should be replaced every 2 years for the weekend golfer. If you play more than that then, it is every year. If you get a new driver and 3 wedges that is more than $1300 with tax for the Opus. Add another $160 for the Platinum’s with tax. For just the 3 wedges, that is about 8 rounds of golf with lunches. They are pricing the average golfer out of the sport.

Totally agree, and you have just frightened the life out of me, replace every two years if only play weekends! That is crazy, like you I have a few wedges I would guess my 50 deg gets used 6-8 times a round. 54 and 58 depends on bunkers. I’m playing 4-5 times a week but there is no way I’m paying out £500 / $600+ for 3 clubs every year.
